Just got two calls from this guy calling himself Lynch saying he is from SB Investigations, i did not answer that call but got the messages that he left. he wanted me to call back to talk about a family member. i will not be calling him back, but if he calls again i will let him know that he can go to hell.

If his numbers are registered up in CA, why would he be using the word "Sheriff"?

Debt collectors are not suppose to use force or threats on their clients. That's illegal.

I'm as much in your situation too, but I always take notes of Caller IDs and recorded messages on my voicemails as I can always use them as legal documentation. You can also file a written complaint to the Federal Trade Commision. Besides, investigators shouldn't be constantly changing their numbers. I just got a call from a 202-232-7900 and when I called that number back, all I got was a fax tone. Previously, I was getting a call from a 222-222-2222, but when I cross-referenced both numbers, they both lead to the same Investigator Lynch dude, and the funniest part is he managed to leave me voicemails on both bogus numbers, but on his voicemails, he always indicates to have me call him on at his 866 number. Also, another thing. Don't forget to register your phone numbers on donotcall.gov. Hope this info helps.

They claim that they're Lynch Investigations, but my understanding is that this investigation company is located in Oregon, not from California.

Just following up on this call. He called again asking for a friend of mine, I told him I was the wrong person to talk to. This time he was calling from the 800 number he gave from last time.

Same company Lynch FB called asking information about a relative of mine. i didn't like the tone in this person's voice, but I got his phone info down, so I could reference this online. I'm glad to find out, i'm not the only complaining about this company.

I don't know how he does it but when he calls various numbers on my phone book shows up on caller ID. So I answered expecting that person on caller ID was calling me. But it was this guy "Investigator Lynch" and he insisted that he was not debt collector.  I do admit I have a debt and I am aware of the situation. He said he was upset with me, because I lied to him and wasted his time. he didn't like to be lied to. LOL.
He then went he knew that address he had on me was my parent?s house, he knew my parents names, and he knew that I was home watching TV. LOL. I told him I was at work, he then said he could hear TV in the back ground so he knew for sure I was at home and I'd better open the door. LMAO. He is dumb. I was at work and my colleagues was sitting right next to me talking really loud. Then he went how would I feel if he sent someone to my job looking for me. Oh wow.  Anyway, he tried to threaten me using words like ?Police?, ?Sheriff?, ?Judgment? ?Court? etc.....I told him I was going to call him back today and he went If I didn?t that was end of me. Ok!

Just had this Lynch moron call me as well. Behind a couple payments which I am trying to take care of and I even tried calling this guy back once before I started finding all this interesting info on "Lynch" and SB company. Then this guy actually calles me and the number comes up that its my wife calling, I asked him how he managed to do that and he claimed he didnt know what I was talking about. He then goes into his rant about me needing to work something out with him or e will be calling the Sheriffs dept. I told him I would call the company the loan was through and work it out, he says I am not allowed to do this and not working through him is a confirmed refusal on my part. I eventually ung up on him since he got argumentive and he left an immediate voice mail re threatening me again and telling me attorneys would be involved. Nothing but threats and throwing attitude because I wouldnt work with him. Be careful they will call you with numbers you know then claim they didnt do it. Anyone got any further advise about these people? Oh, and I dont need a talking to about being my fault and my debt, I am not denying I need to pay my bills and I do but as with a lot of normal people I fall behind on some things as well. Advise on dealing with this company and this Lynch guy is what Im asking for not debt advise.

Just got a call from a guy calling himself investigator Lynch from SB Investigations. I threw him off a bit because I had already looked the company up and knew his first name, which is Scott, and the fact that he liked to try and bully people, I don't get intimidated, especially by some schmo on a telephone.I told him I was recording the conversation so he had better be extremely careful how he proceeded because I had a very good attorney who really doesn't like people like him. He was actually trying to get information about a friend of mine, but I told him if he couldn't give me more information I couldn't give him any. In the end he just asked if I could get my friend to call him. Not gonna happen, cuz we already know what it was about. It was fun to mess with the guy though.
