Took my car into service at vw. Picked it up on Saturday night and I received 3 calls late on a Sunday evening. Received another call at 605 am Monday morning. Finally just broke down and did the survey. Did NOT give them my email. If they call this much can u imagine how much they would email?? The dealers hire a company to do the surveys. Its a good idea to see how their employees are treating people but the company should go about it a different way.

Heather,
I agree with you in general. The problem I have is how these calls are handled. They don't start with hello, my name is ..., I understand you visited ... company and would like a few minutes to talk about it. Something that identifies the company taking the survey and the reason for the survey.
At least the call I got did not want to give me any info about why they were calling, even telling me if I didn't answer their questions while they recorded me they would just keep calling.
For me there is a big difference. One I would probably answer or at least tell them why not. The other just makes me angry.

Can't verify this is the number calling me.... I don't have caller ID and *69 would not go thru, seemed like it was blocked. I have never used before so I'm not sure how it usually works. This is at least the third call though. Call was a marketing survey about auto's. I had a trailblazer in a Chevy dealership for service last week.
I ask the caller to stop calling and take me off their list. They told me they were not selling anything and needed the survey completed at least 10 times. I told them I didn't care if they were selling anything or not, please top calling. They told me if I didn't answer their questions they would just keep calling. They needed to record my answers. I told them they did not have permission to record anything, to stop calling and finally I started asking for someone who could make the calls stop. Of course I was not transferred even though I repeated the request several times. Finally I hung up.
I was not happy with the service from the dealership last week and I most certainly will let the world know if I do end up connecting the service on my Trailblazer and these calls.
Any ideas on how to confirm the actual number calling into a land line.... without adding features and cost to my phone bill?

I think it is important to receive calls from dealerships on how the staff treated us. This way your opinion can be heard and changes can be made to better the service for the people. I got several phone calls from dealerships and completed the surveys. When I had bad experiences, I told them about them and when they were great praised them. If we aren't allowed "freedom of speech" we would not be able to change the way consumers and our transactions are taken care of. I appreciated the phone calls, although I have a busy schedule too, and expect to experience better service from dealerships because I voiced my opinion.

Getting pestered by them now. I am on a do not call list. Just because I do a test drive doesnt mean I want to be harrassed.

Gave my cell phone number to one dealer on a test drive, and my landline number to a completely separate and different dealership, (both VW however...) and receiving calls on both numbers. PLEASE - leave a message, or if you don't, then d*** well don't call back! Thanks!

rec'd call on my cell phone, when I picked up no one answered. These calls use up my minutes which is unfair . They should stop . I consider it harassment.

We visited car dealerships and started getting calls from this number. Just called them back and asked them to remove my number from their list.

Went to a couple of dealerships on Monday, and received a call asking my experiences at the toyota dealership (when at the toyota dealer, I gave the salesman my id and cell phone before taking the car for a test drive.) Got a call from this number tuesday. I did the survey and left it at that. Later in the evening I received another call because I test drove a Honda. Didn't think anything of it ,but I double checked the numbers and they matched. I figured it was a third party company that both car dealers use, but wanted to make sure so I tried reverse telephone number lookup and found this site. I did try to call the number back and did get a real person but I just told the person I got a wrong number.

Follow up call from a Jeep dealer I visisted. They kept calling based on my east coast area code while I visited a west coast dealer so I was woken up at 6am 2 days in a row. First day I asked them not to call back... Called this morning myself to have my number removed for good.

I too have been receiving these calls all day. I don't pick up when I don't recognize a number (it is a cell phone) and they've called a half dozen times today.
After seeing this site, I'll have to pick up next time to confirm which dealer caused these nuisance calls. If it is a Toyota dealer as suggested above, I only visited and test drove a truck there just last night. I had decent service, but if they put these nuisance callers up to calling me, I won't be buying from them (and I'll tell them why). Another Toyota dealer can get my business (or Nissan, Ford, or Dodge if other Toyota dealers put these guys up to calling too, all the full-sized pick-ups are similar quality). I don't need more unsolicited phone calls. Just to be clear, I would have expected the salesperson to call at some point, but some survey company, no thanks.

It's a call from a survey company used by Toyota (and perhaps other car companies) for post-visit feedback. If you don't answer it, they keep calling back on a pretty regular basis

Unwanted, unsolicited call

This is a survey company who called me to get my opinion on a car dealership and the treatment I received that I recently visited. At the end of the call, they asked for my email address (which they did not get)to send specials that the dealership would be having in the future.
