It's a legit number - I called TD Canada Trust to confirm and they told me it's one of about 15 numbers used by that department. They told me that they put my card on "Deposit Only" status because I had recently used it at a retailer who was under investigation for card copying. So this is a good news story - and you need to call them back!

Same here, called easyline and was told that my card was potentially compromised, its status has been changed to deposit only and to go into branch to get a replacement card.

I just got a call from this number too.  I got put in a hold queue when I called back, so took the time to google the number.  I didn't find it on the TD site, so I hung up and called easyline.  The call was transfered to a representative within seconds who told me that my card info fell into the hands of an untrustworthy merchant, and after reviewing some transactions the rep told me to stop into any branch to get a new card.

tl;dr call easyline instead: if nothing else it seems to be faster.
