Area code 876 is Jamaica the country, not the borough of New York City. Were you doing mail order for Red Stripe beer? No? This is a very simple advance fee scam. Anytime you are asked to pay money, to get money, it's a scam. Every time.

I got a call from American Shopper Awards stating that I had won and it was sponsored by Walmart and WalGreens and had won 2.5 million and a Mercedes I was to mail them a green Pak reload money card with $450.00 on it or 6 $75.00 ones so that it would help pay on the taxes for my prize.  So I did and have continued to get calls from them everyday telling how honest they are and wanted me to purchase more and I told them I had no money so they gave me the phone # to call for Rush cards and said they would load money on them to finish paying the taxes on my prize to call them when I received the rush cards--Is this legitable or is it a scam? I received the call last Tuesday a wk before xmas.
