Do not ever answer calls from the 876 area code.  They originate in Jamaica the current world capital of telephone scammers.  Also do not ever call an 876 number back.  You will be charged International Long Distance Calling Rates for the call.

The person using this number has called my cell phone twice in the last 2 1/2 hours.  I do not answer and they do not leave a message.

 A MESSAGE FOR THESE SCAMMERS: should you be reading this, you will be irretrievably paranoid by now and have been. You called my Hawaii area code personal cellular number during the afternoon hours today, here in Hawaii. I did not answer recognizing the area code and pondered. After a bit of research through my lengthy caller lists and records. I found that you have called me on one of my business cellular numbers (9) months ago from your 876-583-6866 number. I describe your shaky voiced caller (9) months ago from this number in a voice that wasn't a Jamaican accent, well spoken English male, analyzed as white racial make in sound from my judgement, and analyzed as a younger than 30 in age male by sound from my judgement. You were terrified when I answered my public business cell on your second call in a row and I said, "Hi, whom are you calling for?" You replied fearfully, "You've won 850 thousand dollars!" I then asked you, "What business is this?" You replied, "uh, Consolidated..." I politely said, "I'm not interested." And before I cut you off by hanging up. I heard you screaming curses at me beginning with f#*! y@^.

 Now a third call, strike three, you've now made this personal. I am a person who knows people worldwide in high places. As well as low places. And there are many people I know of in low places where you are. People who also do not stop like you have done to us. They have earned my well paying pockets wether easy or difficult. I know where you are. You will not escape justice doing evil. We will hunt you like wild boars.

DO NOT return the call from someone calling from a 876 area code.
This is not a toll free "800" number, it is the international long distance code for the island nation of Jamaica. You are charged international and long distance rates for calling this number. Other international/long distance area codes are 809, 284, and 649.

i got a phone call saying i won a new mercerdes and 2.5 million dollars an exchange for 495 dollars on a prepaid card.

Got a phone call today saying won a brand new car and 2.5 million man wants $495 loaded on a card in exchange for 2.5million and a brand new 2013  mercedes-Benz pearl  gives a lot of information making u believe him.. Vin number confirmation number his name check number.

This guy called me a week ago and told me I had won second prize. I interrupted and said I don't accept telemarketing calls and to take me off his list. The same guy called me today from another number, 876-432-4909 with the same pitch. I just hung up. The call comes from Kingston, Jamaica.

He is calling from Jamaca, I traced the number to the exact location. He is simply scamming people to take their money knowing that America will not do anything about it. He is outside of the IC3 and international crime commitment zone and is deemed outside of legal limitations.. please guard yourselves and learn to trace every unknown caller by taking the number and entering it in the google browser and seeking information.. there are many free tracing sites that provide absolute information and have 24/7 live help. Spreading the word about scam prevention and protection may help save others from this cruel event ever taking place.

Hello miss, I understand that you too have been victimized by this caller from Jamaca. Always remember to trace phone numbers that you do not trust or have any idea where or whom they are. So I randomly received a phone call from this number at 3:11 pm today from this number, he started by saying: "Hello how are you today" then persisted to say he was from publisher's clearance house. I instantly told the man I am not a part of publishers clearance and have never been affiliated with the program and that I was performing a reverse caller trace.. He instantly said, "F***" and hung up on me.. pardon the language, however this was his response to my evasive actions. Anyone who is whom they claim to be will never hang up on you or have a problem with a reverse trace if they are legit.

I almst fell for it. he called and claimed he was publishers clearing house.  im a single mother of 2 kids and he didn't even care tht all I had was 400 $ .. he was still trying to get my number off my card.  I told him he needs to go to Hell.

He's probably calling from a 3rd world country that does not cooperate with US law enforcement.  You can't stop the calls.

Most cell providers allow you to block calls from specified numbers.  Ask yours how to block these calls.

OR
Put the pest in your contacts list and assign him the ring tone "no ring". That won't stop the calls but it will make them easier to ignore.

This #is harassing me and my husband cell phones.  A man with an accent said we won 2.5 million dollars and a brand new car. I knew it was a scam.  I asked them please do not call my phone any more I know thisis a scam.  Then the man cursed me out, hung up and is now calling my phone everyday.  Does any one know what we could do about this. I can only imagine how many poor people this man has scammed.
