You may have to change there number or call phone company to see if the number can be blocked

My parents have been getting multiple calls nearly daily from this same number. Claiming to be Fred James. Using the Walmart claim check scam. They are persistent and relentless. Wish I could get them to leave my parents alone.

You can get a call blocking device, that would be the best way to go so these calls can be blocked.  The T-lock Incoming PRO Call Blocker sells for under 60 bucks on Amazon and can block up to 1500 numbers. And there is phones also that can block calls now.  

Do keep in mind that some of the Government sites are down, government shut down, so it may be awhile before some sites will be back up and working again.

A elderly friend of mine continues to get calls from 876-585-4330 and other 876 numbers (calls have been received close to 6 months).  The caller initiates the call by saying "Hello Sweetheart" and then tells her that if she wires $350 to him that he will send her $30,000.  She was confused being elderly, I asked for him to stop calling and remove the number from his list.  Within 5 minutes he called back saying "Hello Sweetheart".  This number and area code reportedly is coming from Jamaica and there is no stopping them.  They are scammers preying on elderly and lonely people.  Additionally, these scammers are using up the minutes given to these elderly people on their wireless phone plans by keeping them on the line.

Mr. White calls my elderly parents from this phone number several times a day.  He tells them they won a lot of money that he will send to them if they send him $2,000.  This is a scam and appears to target the elderly.  I called the number back this afternoon and asked a few questions.  Mr. White said he was calling from Las Vegas.  I very nicely told him not to call my number again as I am on the Do Not Call list and didn't want him to get into trouble.  He became very angry and said that it didn't matter, the FBI was recording our call.  I told him that was a good thing, it would save me the trouble of reporting him to the FBI.  He then said I should not talk to him that way, or he would liquidate me.

Please beware.  This is not a legitimate company and might even involve terrorists.
