I got a call from that number this morning say in I won second prize and won 7 Million dollars from publishers clearing house. Dudes name was Josh Anderson. He wanted me to go buy two Green dot money parks for $504.95 a piece. On and I also won a 2014 Mercedes been convertable. I asked if he could just take it off the top and he said no. And he wanted me to gIve him the numbers before they came to give me the prizes...so I bought them and told him I did my half and they neededto do ttheir half...he got mad. He sounded f****d up.

Got a call from 876-894-2729 claiming I had won $5 Million and a 2013 Mercedes Drop Top from Publishers Clearing House, all it was going to cost me was $504.  I had to buy a green dot card from a local store.  Asked how I got entered to win this fabulous prize, seeing as I have never submitted an entry. Wouldn't you know it I was automatically entered just by shopping at my local grocery store and gas station.  I must be the luckiest person ever because just a few months ago I got a call that I had won a new car from PCH.  Crazy the Scams people try to run.

Received a cal from 876-894-2729 @ 12:42 p.m. today. I did not recognize the number on my cell phone, so I did not answer it. Any number I do not recognize, I look up online. Lo and behold, I'm glad I did not answer, as from reading prior comments, this was a scammer.

I got a call from p.c.h by  James,i didn't let him finished because i know it was a prank. He had called4x. I called it back just to see and was given the same b.s.  Each time they call i give a bogus name and then they call a few says later asking for that name..it too much

I just got a call from this number today. I knew PCH existed, but wasn't sure this was them. Said I had to go to a Western Union to pay $599.13 for delivery. I'm stalling them now, but after reading this post, I will not fall for this mutiny. I'll report them...

Looks like they are back at it again.  876-894-2729 called today and it was a very muffled recorded voice representing publishers clearing house.  Reporting to FCC and AT&T as this came in on our cell phone

This number called me 3x I played along BC I knew it was a scam. He became very aggitated with me then startedMaking sexual comments and I could get my 2.5 million along with my 2013 Corvette! If i proformed his services!! He used the name Michael Anderson! Needless to say still haven't received the money it car! Callers beware!!

I received this phone call on my cell number which should be on the registry of do not call numbers.  They said I had won 2.5 million dollars and a new mercedes benz convertible from the Publisher's Clearing House Sweepstakes, 2nd chance drawing.  All I had to do was purchase 2 cards - one a Wal-mart one and I didn't listen closely enough for the second.  When I heard them say "purchase" then I knew it was a scam. I was skeptical from the first.  They also said that the prize would be delivered from Fort Smith and asked how far away it was.  They also asked if I was going to be home this morning and if I was single or divorced and asked if my husband would be home.  When I said I was not interested in purchasing the cards, they hung up.  The voice was either computer generated or computer modified because it did not sound like a real voice.

a man named jason baker called saying i won 2.5 million dollors and a 2013 mercedes and said i needed to got to walmart to registure a card there. he was trying to hit on me and talking about buying me things too.asking personal questions about me and my life. he said he was from the publishers clearing house. i regesterd with them 2 years ago and since got a new number and address and didnt reregister.i dont know how he got it but it seems like a scam

a man who called himself Jason baker called saying he was with publisher clearing house and that my wife has won 2.5 millions dollars and she need to get a green dot money pak for $500.00 and tell him the number on the back, we did that without thinking because we had been doing the PCH thing. We found out he was a scham and reported it to the police and they reported it to the FBI. I know I can't get my money back butl would like to see this guy stopped,  We are 77 and 76 and on a fixed income .

These filthy, little animals have been particularly active the past few weeks and I have noticed an interesting trend. As the calls persist, the prize, that I supposedly have won, keeps increasing (from 2.5 million to 3.5 million to 10 million plus a car and a flat screen TV) but the porch monkeys who are calling keep getting dumber! While the first rodent had some idea of my name (though he was not entirely correct,) this most recent SHLF (Sub Human Life Form,) who kept repeating "my prize would be there within the hour," did not even have my correct state address!

If you receive another call, be certain to record it, as this particular scam is now the target of a Federal investigation, using the code name, JOLT.

I had almost same call said I need to be in private.  I asked alot of questions never got to the point to have to send money I was too suspicous. I asked to talk to someone to confirm that I won and he wouldnt.  Now that i researched I'm glad I declined.  I called and let Better Homes and Gardens aware that a scammer is using their name. Oh yeah I won 1.5 millon and a 2012 BMW. Really...Not!!!

I received a call from this # and the guy said he was from "Better Homes and Gardens" and I had been selected as a 2nd prize winner. I would receive a new Mercedes convertable and 800,000 $.
The prizes would come out of our state capital but I had to go to Wal-mart and buy a card then call the # back from my caller ID. He really didn't want to explain things until I called back. I don't know how he got my cell phone #. He also told me it had to be done today and not tell anyone..not even my wife. He also called my daughter and she just hung up on him. I sure hope this is a scam because if it's not and I really won stuff.  :)

When I saw "Jamaica" pop up I knew it was the rude scammers. I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message.

I received a call from this number a few minutes ago and then found this. The guy who called me sounded WASTED. I mean, he sounded like he had way too much to drink. But, he said the same to me: that I had won 2nd prize of 800K and a car of some sort. When I said "no thanks" he proceeded to tell me that he liked my voice and wanted to meet and wanted to know if I would cheat on my boyfriend. I actually thought it was a friend joking with me until I googled the number... Out-bound callers are just getting more ridiculous by the second...

Got the call from this number. Said it was better homes and gardens and that I won second place of 800,000. What a scam. No thank you. Blah! It really was painful to listen to him talking so slowly (agree with Charlie D)!! I hate how my number gets out there for this junk!

Received call from (876) 894-2729.  Came up as Jamaica and the guy said he was from Jamaica, Wisconsin...I was told I won $800,000 and a 2012 Mercedes just for shopping at Walmart and my favorite gas station.  He then directed me to purchase a gift card of some sort at Walgreens and to give it to the delivery man when he shows up to deliver my prizes.

At this point I had already googled the number and stated that it appeared as if a lot of people have won this prize package and he hung up immediately.  

I am disappointed I won't be seeing the delivery guy with my winnings...lol.  Also, he spoke so slow and awkward it was painful to listen to.

Recieved a call from a Danial stating that I was drawn by better homes and gardens for 2nd prize: 800,000 dollars and a new Mercedes BMW. Wow and all I had to do was wire him 350.00 dollars. What a bargain! What a scam!!!

Mine was from 8764906016 phone number saying I had won 2nd place $800,000.00 and a BMW from Better Homes and Gardern Promotions. He said his name was Calvin Matison. Told me I need to go to wal greens somewhere like that so I could buy  a reload green dot money pack card for $5.He said I needed to hung up and call him right back but thats when I went online and seen this. I knew it was scam in the first place.

Just got a call on my cell from 876-894-2729 saying he was "Daniel" from Better Homes and Gardens special promotions.  I said I already got the magazine and started to hang up when he said I had won 2nd prize in their promotion of $800,000.00 and a home in my town (which is the correct town where I live) .  He asked how I felt about that, and I said I felt like it was a great big hoax! and hung up.  I did a reverse call look-up and saw that the call was coming from Jamaica.  Obviously a scam.

If you go online and register a complaint with the FCC and if they get enough complaints, they will investigate. The address is http://www.fcc.gov/complaints. My number is on the DNC list, and you can file a complaint at that website too, but I've found the FCC to be more responsive.

i got a phone call from this number yesterday 5/24/2012 about 4:30 pm and said i had won 450,000 and brand new bmw 2012... and he went on an on said the same thing was entered by walmart and so on.. told me in order to claim my prize i had to wire 299.00 in order to claim my prize and int he begining of the call i asked him if this was a scam and he assured me it wasnt... im like ok just let him keep talking.. when he asked for the 299.00 i was like wait a min i taught there was no gimmick.. why do i have to pay 299..00 and he said i would get that nack aftewards anywys i made as if i would wire the money adn he asked when so i said tomorrow and he wanted to know what time and i told him i wasnt sure what time and i guess i was pissing him off and he hung up on me..
