They call once or twice a day . they never say what debt they are collecting for.

Blocking them is the best thing you can do. I have dealt with the same thing in years gone by. I had been told that my number would be removed and yet they would still call. I only wish I had the option of blocking the numbers that called back then.
Don't be surprised if you end up with calls from other operations looking for this same person. I have come to believe that those that owe, often have their number disconnected in order to avoid these sleazy companies.   The problem with this is that the number is reassigned to innocent people that end up with their phone calls.

It's a collection agency.   Looking for someone with same last name.   I advised didn't know this person.  Was assured I would be taken off the call list but they called back.   I blocked them.

They will not follow any rules even if you not the person they are

I found out they pay 8cents per incoming call to this number.
I post the number on craigslist under bogus adds :)
Also many of us have started using PRANK dial and prank owl to run up that 877 bill ;)

They call me all the time, asking if I have info on someone I've never heard of.  If I get huffy, they hang up on me.  They can't stand the heat they are tryin
g to put on others.  I tell them I wouldn't rat on the person even if I did know them!!!

I received a message on my answering machine from this number this afternoon asking for my husband's ex-wife.  The caller did say that it was in reference to the collection of a debt.  We are aware that his ex-wife is having some financial difficulties.  When I called them back and explained that the person in
question was my husband's ex-wife and that he isn't in conact with her anymore, they were very kind and apologetic saying that they would remove our phone number from their list.  As long as they do follow through with that, I have no problems with them.

Number showed up on my caller ID. As I suspected, another junk debt collector,  I just ignore them.

CCA which is a collection agency. Say I owe a bill which I already paid and have the receipt to prove it. Stated I didn't and wanted me to pay using my credit card or they can take my checking info. (I read where someone was dumb enough to fall for that and they took out more than what was actually owed) I asked how they got a unpublished/unlisted telephone number and he told me I cannot run nor hide from this debt. Proceeded to tell them to send me PROOF I owe and not just some statement with a balance due, but actual charges of what the monies were for, they proceeded to tell me  that it was not their job, but my job to pay. The man started getting very rude & threatening. Told him to have a good life and hung up. Didn't hear from them for over two weeks, now today that have called my phone 27 times in 27 minutes!! Finally unplugged my phone line.

Somehow this Carrie Smith got the phone number for my sister's sister-in-law who I don't even talk to, like, or even know her phone number! I don't know how they got their number. Now I'm afraid to call them back after reading these posts!

Oh my! The same women left the a message on my machine looking for my sister that I have not spoke to in years. I have an unlisted number. I guess that does not matter in this case.

Wow, someone needs therapy, or ritalin or maybe just a glass of "whine." Clearly you are one of those idiots who attempts to collect debts that may or may NOT be legit via harrassment of people who have nothing to do with them or you wouldn't be on the verge of a coronary while spewing verbal diarhea. So that means you should also know that even when the person you incorrectly call tells you to stop, you continue to fill their answering machine. Maybe you should consider another form of employment so you don't have that coronary commenting on soneone elses right to freedom of speech. I mean I know the economy is bad but have some moral fiber. People like you take jobs like that because you are incapable of getting a real job...a job that takes intelligence and hard work. Good luck in your search for that real job:)

P.S. In your own statement about not saying why you call is because the person you are calling is not the one who owes the debt, means you are admitting that you know that person doesn't owe it so then why are you calling them in the first place?? Who's stupid! You need more than ritalin, you need an education. And I rest my case as to why you don't have a real job.

I got a call from this number just a bit ago, I let my answering machine get it, and it was just weird. It was a robotic voice but it still gave it's self a name and it said it was looking for some person I have never heard of, they seemed to know that the person doesn't live here, but they wanted me to call back if I knew they person and give them a detailed physical description of the person and any other information I might have... If this was a collection agency wouldn't they just want the information? why the description? and why call random people fishing for info? This is seriously creepy, I'm to tired to deal with it now but thinking of calling the police later when I wake back up.

my brother got a voice mail for me from 877-388-1407 that i have something in collections. I dont... called them back it said Quest Point Treasury? i did not leave a message. I googled the company and got this page i guess i'm not alone. Thanks guys for heads up.

Received call today offering to send me a $100 walmart giftcard. If I don't receive the card in two days I was told to call 877-208-1371. The caller was trying to verify I had a valid credit card to pay a $2.90 fee once the card was received. I was told the company offering this was called Savings Clubs. The call  came up as unavailable from #00000000000

I know I owe money,  I have talked to credit collectors before and yes was talked down to, told to borrow money from family (who obviously, living in michigan, do not have it.)  When I tell them I can't pay because my hours are down to 20 a week, they still want me to pay at least 50$ when I never know how my hours will be.  If I write a check or have them take it out of my bank account, they take more than what is planned. I started to listen to Dave Ramsey.  He is a financial advisor and has his own radio show, is on CNN with his own show and he helps explain things like refinancing a house, baby steps for getting out of debt and anything else that deals with money.  The best advice that he gave for collection agencies is to have them send you proof of the money you owe if you don't think you owe it and not to give out your bank account number because they will wipe you out.  Even if you owe the money, ask for written proof before you agree to anything.

Nothing like having an attitude. WAke up on the wrong side of the bed.............????????????????
