The company is in Nixa, MO, which is a neighbor/connector to Springfield, MO.
This collection company will pull any information that they can regarding the person that they are looking for and just start calling numbers. I received a call from someone who identified themselves as Investigator Mitchell Green. They were looking for my sister whom I haven't spoke to in atleast 2 years and doesn't even have the same last name as I do. Not sure how they got my number.
Be careful of who you are giving information to. Question EVERYTHING.

I received a call from Richard Mitz (the # I call to talk to him is 417-449-0210), due to my bank sent my acct to them.  I don't remember what the caller ID showed because he only called me that once and left a message and I have been calling him ever since.  I was honest and up front about everything, he let me set up a payment schedule and the amount.  And I am never harrassed by them, and one payment i knew i was going to be unable to make... i called a wk before it was going to hit my bank... and he worked with me. very easy going.  first collector type person I have ever dealt with that worked with me and did not talk down to me nor was he rude.  I have down collections in the past and I dont think I was ever that nice. I am glad he has my account.

417 is in my state of Missouri.  Their office is actually only a town over from where I am at now.

sorry..the number was  417-449-0212 and it was from a richard mitz. Theres not even a "417" prefit in my state!

that same number just called my house asking if i can take a message for my neighbor because they are not calling back!

Ryan Moore keeps calling my house leaving messages for the woman I bought my house from, how they got my number I do not know but they will not stop calling here asking for her.

I rcvd a call from 417-449-0212 asking me to call them regarding my cousin.  I think they just pulled everyone who has the same last name and started calling them.   This was my 1st call from them,  hopefully do not continue to harrass me.   I have not seen or talked to my cousin in a few years and not even sure where he lives anymore.

They keep calling and the Caller Id shows OHIO on it with a non working telephone number.

That's a violation of the FDCPA and of the FCC business practices--they are using false and deceptive business practices. If the number is dialed and when connected does not lead to the company providing it that is engaging in deceptive practices. This number shows disconnected.
This is also a violation of the FDCPA 1629e(10). Deceptive means to collect or attempt to collect a debt.

wonder if this is fraud? Wire fraud? harrassment?

These people called my home in November 2007, they must have found out we in the process of buying our first home. They stated they were from a law firm and told my husband they were preparing to garnish his wages, well they scared my husband and he paid them over 800.00 with me telling him all along they were NOT a law firm. So anyways he let this company DRAFT from our checking account and for almost 2 years we started having money come up missing in our account, it finally got so bad we closed our account in March of this year. Now my husband believes me when i tell him not everyone who claims to be from a law firm are actually Lawyers. Its a very long and expensive lesson for my husband.

Got a call from 417-449-0210.  I did not answer because of the repetativeness on this number.  20 minutes later a knock on the door.  I did not answer because I did not see a vehicle.  When coast was clear I opened door and noticed a note stuck under screen door.  It was a handwritten note tell wrong name(not me) to call Ali Brown at 877-211-5672.  This is the first I have heard of a so called collection agency coming to the door.  They have the wrong person and now this frankly scares me to death.

These people call with "OHIO" showing up on caller ID and the phone number 419-449-0218. When asked where they were calling from I was told Nixa, MO.

Well, as far as I can tell from reading the FDCPA, this is a clear violation. they are HIDING their true identities by spoofing the caller id. If they are in Nixa, there is NO reason the caller id should show and OHIO name and number.

If you read their website, the owner used to own MIDLAND who is a HORRIBLE HORRIBLE collection agency. If that is any indication, these people are going to suck when it comes to collections and following the laws. Be careful and record their phone calls.

We got a call from "Ryan Moore", who left a message on our machine.  He said that he was trying to contact one of our neighbors--someone whose name I do not recognize.  I wish I'd saved the phone number from caller ID, but I believe it was not an 877 number.  Seems that I remember either 401 or 301 area code.  Anyway, he asked us to call him back at 877-211-5672.  I figured it was a collection agency; I have no intention of calling him back.  What I'd like to know is whether or not it's legal for these guys to call ME when I'm on the state and federal no-call lists?  I have had problems for several years with collection agencies calling my house, looking for a woman who's never lived here.  We don't know her; but through Internet research, I found out who she is and where she lives.  I don't know why these people at collection agencies can't do the same.  This is what THEY do for a living, not me.  In any case, I contacted the Atty. General's office but they told me collection agencies are exempt from no-call lists; however, they couldn't answer (legal gray area) whether it's a violation when I'm NOT the person with the debt.  Any information or advice?

Found this on their website.  Keep it handy cause i get calls from them all the time.  Dont let them intimidate you. Stand firm and just pretend your someon else.

mullen and associates are continously calling and harassing us for money because we have the same name. when they are told we are not the person they are looking for  they continue to harass.  they must have some real toads working for them  no self respecting lawyer would handle such cases.
they are required by law to furnish a copy of the original debt  and if they send it to the wrong person its a violation of the privacy act.

mullen collectors have been phone stalking my 7 year old daughter.they send collection bills but won,t tell us where they are at nor will they state their business. charges for phone stalking are in the process of being filed. what is with these people they were told they had the wrong number for the right person but won,t stop.

got a call from a lady that stated her name was carol and was interested in talking with me about a man and woman named ron and sara brown. when i called back some other girl answerd and ask me for my full name. i replied ,no! carol didnt give me any last name ...the line went dead!!!

Caller said her name was "Alli" and that she was actually trying to get in touch with 'your neighbor'. Calling the numbre after 5 p.m. gets you voice mail system for Mullen & Associates in Nixa, Missouri. Anyone know what they do?
