Is it a scam cause I am worrying bout this??? Really something happen when I filed my taxes this yr.

That Joseph a***ole just called my cell phone! He said it was in reference to the 1099 c form in my name . Bull****! I have never done a 1099. He told me it was in my best intrest to call him back or have my representing council to call him back!

I received call about 1099c be in my best interest to contact them back or have my representative do so.

Got a call from 716-402-1834 but asks for return call to 877-212-3222.  Left a message saying they were trying to reach James Barry (not me or anyone I know) also regarding 1099C filed under "my" name

Just received a call from this Joseph Guy he was calling my cell phone and house phone at the same time and told me about a 1099c I look up the meaning of a 1099c it a form to write off debt with the IRS, and IRS  will never call you they will always mailed you information, they will not call you to collect a debt.  Please be aware of these calls do not give out any information and everyone stay safe. Because it is tax season and everyone is looking to scam you rather you are young or old.

Yes just got a call yesterday from same people what a scam says that I hated credit card and that they was going after my taxes with a 1099c ok but when I told them this was impossible to do and to verify that these items to which I'm being accused of is mine they told me that they don't have to beefy its me and that I don't know my rights. Lmfao what morons I tell you I will be suing these b*****ds in court bet on that trying to go after my taxes now that's some sneaky s*** also contacting IRS as well. Was left a voice mail today from Joseph Janaskey to call back regarding the above form. "Was told it was in my best interest to either call back myself or have my lawyer call on my behalf. Interesting thing was they asked for an ex who must still be using my cell number.

This Joseph guy just called my cell and its a brand new number talking about a 1099C.....he is full of you know what!

I too got a call from "Joseph Janaskey" about a 1099C form. It has been my experience they do not call you they will send you something in the mail. IRS does not have the man power to call everyone about a single form. Not only that...I havent filed my taxes this year and I have worked at the same place for the past 15yrs. I dont own a home, or my own business i file just the good old 1040 easy form...So ...Ha gotcha!!

Beware of these morons.  This joseph person calling about a 1099c form is a scam.  First of all no ones calls you over the phone about a 1099c form. Second this jocker is trying to collect on a debt that has already been charged off.  Do not fall for this scam an do not give them one red cent.

What did you do?  Do I need to call them back or just leave it be?  Everything i read about 1099c is that its mailed to you....not one thing said will be notified by phone....

Well I just got a call exactly like the one that it statd in all the other complaints. I just said I would be contcating the IRS . and that was all.

This company calls me, threating that I need to call back because it contains important 1099-C tax form...and myself or my attorney needs to call them back? I do not know this company, nor did I give anyone information about my information! The person that called me was Joseph Janakey.

Threatening you with a 1099-C on an unvalidated debt is illegal. Get a consumer law attorney and go after them.

Just another pathetic attempt by collection agencies to pick off old debt carcassas ... they are just trying to scare people into paying supposed debts the consumer "owes". This time, they're calling with word of a 1099C - IRS Tax Speak for debt writeoff. Sounds like it might be in your "best interest". These folks of course earn comission so they will be as hounding and intimidating/persuasive as they can be. Good cop / bad cop tactics. They are pissed because modern technology has given consumers not only increased access to knowledge of their own consumer rights, but forums such as this where we can all share our experiences. Knowledge is power, and they HATE that we have it! As pissed as you may get, piss THEM off even more --- do what I do and kill em with kindness  :)  --- Then dispute and demand proof of everything they claim.

I got a call from Joseph Janaskey stating to ref # 1099 C form. He is not with IRS, so be leary.

I got a message for someone else and when I called to tell them they had the wrong # the lady and I use the term loosely because she was a major bi*** yelled at me and basicly accused me of lying about who I was. I can be a bi*** too and I told her to f*** off. The end they will not be calling me again. Maybe if they hired someone else besides crack heads they may get somewhere.

Keep receiving calls from 877-212-3222 for a person named Steven May who does not live at our residence. The calls are recorded type calls and harassing in nature. When I call the number it rings to a business named Alexander and Stefano...looked this up on the internet and it is some kind of lawfirm collection agency with a BBB rating of "F"...reported them to the FCC.

I getting calls from this number that are not for me. When I try to call back and let them know they have a wrong number, the mailbox can not accept and more messages.
