Keeps calling us for another person with the same last name.  Calls our cell phone and land-line phone.  We keep telling them the person doesn't live here, but they continue to call.

They did not leave a message identifying themselves, nor does their answering message contain any identification information

The message they leave is "must return this call at 877-230-8414" but when I do answer they have the same message? And the message sounds incomplete? The caller ID is different than the message number?

The Fair Debt Credit Practices Act prohibits collection agencies from calling after 9 PM and on holidays or at work.  Tape record their calls and then notify them you are pursuing it with the Federal Trade Commission.  If you have the proof, you can make them pay for their illegal procedures.  It's something like $1,000 per infraction the last I knew.

also got a call from 877-230-8414.  recorded message stating it was an urgent business matter and to return the call to another number (not the same as this one) and had business hours.  I did not call it back because I do not know whom the call is for.  I've received several calls for a man that does not live here so who knows who this one is for!  If they were to state a name i'm more willing to find out what its about!

they keep calling and there is no one here by that name.  The last time they called, reverse look-up said it was Wells Fargo.  I did not get that this time.  I have reported them to the state attorney general because I'm on the do not call list.  I have never done nor do I plan to do business with them.

These people are calling my relatives and leaving messages with them to have me call this number.  They need to stop immediately.

This number was left on a child abuse hotline from an automated caller. The actual number that called was (716)929-8537. It appears like shotgun skiptraceing at it's worst. Makes the entire collection industry look bad. But then again they have the ability to self-police and choose not to which speaks volumes for the industry it's self.

I just got a call today from 1-877-230-8414. Cant figure who or what account it could possibly be??? Just left my lawyer a deposit for my Chap 7 petition. And I gave him all my ccounts that I am aware of. The recorded message could be more diplomatic. With less attitude.

Keep calling asking for Brandon Humphries. I have never heard of this person so I don't know how they got my number. They said i would be removed from the call list. We shall see.

I am repeatedly getting a call with a voice recording. Upon picking up the phone the recording informs me that I must call back and speak to Michael. I work quite a bit and do not want to spend my spare time dealing with nuisance calls.

I have had multiple calls from this person on multiple days.  Yesterday for the first time they left a message saying they were trying to locate a "friend" of mine.  They gave his name and address, and it's my next door neighbor, who I only know to say hello to! They asked him to call 877-230-8414 x 8273.  I agree with earlier posters that these collection agencies are crossing the lines of acceptable behavior by bothering people who have no involvement with the person they are trying to collect from.  I'm going to block this number today, but I'm also going to file with the BBB because this is not only unethical, I'm betting it's also illegal.

just got ready to post all this watch out they tell you they are going to court and its all lies report them to your attorney general... under the FTC they are not allowed to tell you they are going to court when indeed they are not LIARS...THEY ARE INDEED!!!!!!!!!!!!

We just recently got this phone number due to purchasing our home and we keep getting this annoying call from the same number....We answer and they hang up...Please get this to stop....

Just got a new cell phone # and LITERALLY, I KID U NOT, within 2 MINUTES my first call came in and it was from this "company"!!!

Called my house many times... saying they are from litigation company and when yoyu returned the call its just a voicemail.Very rude caller.

leave voice mail weekly.  been going on for months.  absolutely obnoxious.

recived call on my mothers phone (on DNC reg.).from 877-230-8414. i have no contract with these people, and to my knowledge have no outstanding debt's (that these characters would be handling). the call was pleasant, but slightly threatening. regarding an asset liability search. wanted to see if this was something i wanted to engage in "willingly".. (yeah, right :rolls eyes:)

regardless, these characters have no legal leg to stand on to follow up on their threats. glad i looked it up, will just ignore them along with all the other fraudulent debt collections creeps. sometimes i wonder why we even have a landline.

Thank you for this information. Mercantile Adjustments was calling me a few weeks ago. I called them back and a very helpful lady asked me my number and promised that I was taken off the list. Today they start calling again from this number.
