I received a text from them,and it really messed me up.Not only did they try to scam,but they almost (F****D UP!!my granddaughter first Christmas.

I GOT A TEX FROM THE #951-310-6178 ...it said i won a 1000 dollar gift voucher for use at walmart. you can access it now www.wmart-vouchers.com ( sane money live better) ...but it looks like a scam as well

That becouse you guys dont read your terms of agreement for websites such as google yahhoo etc. they share all ur information.

I have not used my cell phone for anything that could have been sold.  I received the message about the Walmart $200. gift certificate-immediately deleted it after googling the telephone number on the message.  They are really slick-would like to see this sort of thing stopped.

i used my parents house phone to call them thinking they might need the verification numbers off of my texts then they didnt ask me for any of them and just asked for my number so i hung up then got on here to check it out.... thank god think they can charge a land line thought?

just got the exact same text message for a free $200 walmart gift card. Immediately called my phone service (verizon) and blockd their ability to charge me for the service. Thank you Verizon!!!

Recideved a txt from 47879 on 12/7 that had the same txt message as everybody else's (though they did get my name right). I did not reply to it with a txt or phone call. I googled (I love Google) the phone number in the txt and this site was the #1 result, which was great since this answered all my questions. I submitted a complaint with FTC, and I hope that they will be able to do something about this. The only sites with my number have never given me a problem (no txts or calls from them or anyone that I did not ask for). Because I like my privacy, I did not trust this txt. As other's have stated, the txt just seemed "fishy"; there was just something off about it.

Hey everyone, like all of u I got a txt message saying the same thing. When I called, an indidan answered saying "hello" and when I didn't say anything they asked if I was calling about the $200 giftcard. I asked why they had texted me and about 4 of them hung up on me. I wanted to find out how they got my number so I keept calling and asking why their company was just giving money, another 5 hung up on me lol. Out of all the times I called, which was probably about 15, I got to talk to 2 people that had answer the phone previously. They were mad at me. Eventually one of the guys said that I did a survey online and it was an apreciation gift from his company. Then he said " do you not want your $200 gift card?" I said no, and hung up. Then I got this page while searching for answers. This is happening everyday. Who knows how many people get these txt messages. The problem with the do not call list is that they will only block solicitors. I work for a marketing research firm (sorry). Basically I ask people to answer questions for surveys over the phone, we have access to any number in the US. Even the ones on the do not call list. I'm pretty sure these guys are not considered solicitors because they are trying to sell you anything. You're just supposed to pay for shipping. But we all know that's a lie.

This is obviously a scam; I have never visited this site, and my phone number is not given out to anyone other than 6 people. I am very versed in identity theft and digital security.  

I called the number demanding my "free gift voucher" in order to gather more information.  The accents sound like they are based in the Indian part of the world.

I was not able to get any real names.  The only names I was given are Steven Jacobs, and Steven Willis, and Salisa Anderson.

After repeatedly calling them and wasting their time, I was able to get that FOBS Services was the hiring company to send out this text message spam.

Filed an FTC complaint.  Sadly, this could have been an issue of your mobile providers selling your info as well as any other place.

I received the exact same message as Justin but when I suspected something I told "her" I had someone in my office and I would call her back.  She said she will call me back and get this, not to call anyone else.  She is calling back in 10 minutes and she will get an ear full!  I may be old but I'm not stupid!  I am going to get a Company name if I can.  Shouldn't someone be able to get in touch with the police dept. or someone?

Call from a land line and got hung up on.  What is the deal?

i read this and called for the hell of it with my skype ;) and he sayed his name was bobin brown and i gave all fake credit card info and asked where he was geologically located and he sayed phenix arizona. i seen someone else say they taked to a something brown... I think the light bulb just went on.. everyone wants to f*** me out of my really hard earned $. and in the background all i could here was more of them dam camel jockey fuc*s talking on other phone like they where in a phone bank of some nature.. he sayed he would give me 200$ for shipping and handiling for 10$ needless to say i harassed him and felt a little bit better about myself after that;) i may not make a lot of money, i work my a** off, and it feels good to earn an honest buck.

Such crap... we aren't even safe on our cell phones. UURRRRggghhh
