It's Van Ru Credit.  They ain't nobody...don't let them scare you.  The worst they can do is take you to a court and the only thing that will happen is a judge will force you to make payment arrangements..nothing serious will happen to you.  Van Ru won't do this because it's costs them a lot of money....so just hang up on them.

Got a call from this number at 9 pm.  Fella asked for a Diane and when I told him he had the wrong number and I didn't know a Diane, he started cross examining me as though I was a common criminal.  Asked how long I had this phone number (5 years), why I thought Diane would have given my number as a contact number, and was I sure I didn't know her.  I finally told him never to call me again and he hung up on me.

I answered a bunch of calls from these people and it was about my son. He paid the bills. He even called the school supposedly sent this firm out to us. They told him he was paid up. No problem. After I got that info, I told the nxt caller that if I receive another call I will sue. I told them I contacted the Attorney General and they hung up fast. I have not had a call from them now in a month.

Person by the name of Gavin (?) called and asked to speak with me.  Asked my husband for my social security number.  My husband refused to give it to them.  I called the number and asked to speak to Gavin, the lady asked for social security number and birthdate.  I would not give the information to her.  I blocked the numnber.

Same thing happened to me.  called regarding a debt I do not owe and then told me "I was a waste of a human life for not paying my bills" and hung up before i could respond.  I dont owe a debt, I pulled my credit report and show nothing.

The person that called me knew my name and last 4 digits of my social. He kept tring to make me agree to pay a debt I don't owe and when I wouldn't agree he put a woman on the phone that was his "manager" and she started tring to guilt trip me into a settlment for this "debt" they were claiming I owed. When I would not agree she becasme agressive and then another man got on the phone and was rude and even started to raise his voice to me. And after everything he hung up on me.

Do Not Agree To Anything they say and never tell them any information no matter how small it seems.

caller starts by trying to get me to identify my personal information (SSN#) without letting me know who he is and why he is calling.. I politely told him, they had the wrong number and hung up.

Keep calling for a "Monica so-and-so".  It's a recorded message.  They leave a number to call back, and inform them if they have the wrong number.  I call, and speak to a lady who asks if I know this Monica so-and-so.  I tell her no, and she says she will remove my number then.  However, they still keep calling...No real problem, just annoying.

We receive phone calls from this number daily beyween 8-8:30 AM.  No one is there when I answer and they never leave a message.  We have only had this number for about 6 months and have be inundated with collections calls from the previous number owner so I am certain it is some sort of collections company.

A man called my house last night at 9 p.m. - stated that his office had burned - and that he was confirming my name and the last four of my social number...still believe it is a scam.  Seriously, if someone wants to reach me - do it by mail only...not by a "con".  I told him I did not know him or the (phony) company and was hanging up.
Folks - seriously, do not acknowledge or confirm or deny anyone who calls your home for your personal information or your spouses information.  Identity theft is a major issue in today's world.

Called asking for my wife.  Said they could talk to me if I gave her social #.  I said no.  They then gave me an address that I did not recognize and a birthday I did not recognize.   Said they would take us off of the list.

Have received at leat 3-4 calls in past week from this number claiming they are Van Ruh (sp?) credit corp, calling to collect.  I don't have any outstanding credit problem, if fact I have a great credit score, so I know it's a scam.

I believe this is a collection agency. They asked for a past employee and then wanted to know if I had a forwarding number for them.... who actually gives that info out?  Really?  

However, that being said, he was actually very polite.

Called me tonight and knew the last four of my social. Apparently they are a debt collection agency; said it was a matter through an online school I had attended for a semester. Found it strange since I am currently a full-time student and that loan is in deferment. I honestly don't know how legit they are.
