I got a call from Brandy Thomas and she got smooth told off she was a locator, as a student in Criminal Justice took this call to my professor had him call and act like my husband. He shut them down so fast had them shook when he asked about their credentials he was placed on hold several times to get the answer . They call me like once a week which is a improvement from the everyday calls and calls to my job..

Ok...I took out a payday loan with Westgate Company in February.  I couldn't make the payments due to something financial happening to me.  I've tried calling that company to work something out and they refuse.  The original loan amount was $400 and they're telling me now that it's gone up to over $700.  

I am getting threatening phone calls from "Global" and a Scott Thomas who says he is a "locator" for Global.  He says that he is having me served and it's my "FINAL" notice.  He is very upset and ugly.  They have called my place of work almost a dozen times including my co workers and HR head.  He always says it's my final notice and good luck.  Can I be arrested for not paying this?  They give me all sorts of things I've comitted such as fraud, etc.  They've called me from 888-901-4719 and 855-213-5589 and give me a claim number.  

They end the call saying I will be served documents to appear in court....what is going to happen???  They say if I don't pay the amount or enter into an agreement, I will be served.

I got almost the same exact call, only this time it was from a Richard Anderson and the number was 888.266.8036. Places like this are always having to change their numbers over time. Just like the other calls, this guy leaves a message, saying he is "acting on behalf" of the processing and summons department of my county sheriff's department and then threatens that I need to call him back, etc. or I will be served at home or at my place of work. I say, yeah, right...go for it. These are just scammers using terrible scare tactics. I don't know of anyone I owe money to, but certainly if I did, I would be aware of it via postal mail long before someone served papers on me. This scam went on last year to me with a different call back number. I checked with my local sheriff's department since the guy had claimed to be associated with them, and they had no idea who the guy was. Strangely, they didn't' seem to care a whole lot that some scammer was phoning threats and pretending to be with the sheriff's department, but oh well.  Anyway, these people are the lowest life form.

I got a call today from 843-282-7831 he said his name was Jason Cook. He has papers to serve me wanted to know my address. I refused to give him this info. I said what is this in referrence to? He said, I would haveto call 843-888-372-1064. Gave me a reference number.
They started making threats that I was gonna get arrested. (I always thought you got served papers by a constable or magistrate or a deputy)
They said my orignal bill is $550.00 they would cut me a deal charge me $350. they made it sound like I have a credit card now. We dont have funds and we wanted to investigate further.
He Tony Baker got rather upset. Said we have been warned. That we would be responsible for all court cost and attorney fees.

my call was from a process server.. named jason cook... also referred me to global.... illegal threats, collection agency denying that they are one..If you wont provide written communication then You dont have contact with me. Good bye and good riddance I say

I received the same phone call from Nicole White a few weeks ago.  Again, very angry, kept calling.  She's still asking for addresses but now she's blocking her number - private number / private name.  It's definitely a scam.   If she calls back, I'll report her for harassment.

I received two calls yesterday and one today -only spoke with "Nicole White" who claims to be a process server one time - the other two times she left very threatening messages about needing an address to serve me with papers.  I have received two different call back numbers but the same claim #.  No idea what this is about....this woman is extremely unprofessional and ANGRY!

Received several calls from an unknown number they left a message and I returned the call they were calling about a debt from 2008 that was not on my credit report. How they got this number I don't know
I told then the amount was wrong and send me something in writing with a street address. I can't find this company anywhere. Bbb and I googled them with no luck. I found this site to find I'm not alone. Others have been contacted by this fake firm. They have another number 877-255-1817. That was the number I called. I will be extra careful about who I talk to.

My mother received a message on her answering maching from a scarry sounding guy demanding that my ex husband of 9 years call this number becuase he has charges and a claim against him. So I call the number before I call him and a lady answers. I tell her she left the message with the wrong number and that I can give him the message. She got smart and wanted to know if I knew that he was having charges brought against him. I really didn't and asked her if she could give me more info. She said no. Well the deep voiced scarry man was in the background making more calls so watch out!! When my ex call them back they said he had a $300 PayDay load from 1998 that was outstanding and they would settle it now for $500 over the phone. Yea Right! He called BS and send the paperwork! We were married that year I know there were no Payday Loans.

I just received the exact same call, but it was from a man. He said my name wrong, but he was very nice and actually scared me. He asked for my address so he could send me my documents for a loan they were mediating and I said I would not give out my address unless he had further information regarding what the loan was for etc because I have NO outstanding debts. He gave me the 1-877-238-9184 number and I called and spoke with a lady there. She was also very good at trying to make me believe I had an oustanding loan. She even gave me my references off of a loan application from 2007. I was quite upset about this and told her it was impossible. She said they were going to charge me for check deception and fraud and I owed First America Cash Advance $610. I said no I don't I've never had a loan with that company. She said it must have been an on-line cash advance. I said absolutely not. And she then got argumentative with me and I hung up on her.

Approx 20 minutes later, someone called my WORK office claiming to be the Manager asking if their was a misunderstanding and I told her I had just spoke with the BBB and that there certainly was a misunderstanding. I indicated to her I would not be accepting her phone calls at work and hung up on her.

I swear I will not deal with their constant phone calls at my job!

Received a call from this number notifying me using an incorrect name that I had been offically served.  No clue what she is talking about .

Call from 1-877-238-9184 Called both my sister and my inlaws to try to find me saying that they needed to serve me with papers for court. They some how found my phone number and continusely called me for 20 minutes after I talked to them when they were being very Rude, ande obnoxious cursing the F word at me multiple times telling me I was an ignorant person. They kept trying to get me to give them my street address when I wouldn't they became even more aggressive, rude and using curse words. I contacted the BBB and was told that it is a scam that these people buy your information to get ahold of you just so they can try to get your personal banking information to steal from you. The BBB instructed me to contact my local police department if they continued to contact me.

Call from 877-238-9184 Melissa Gordon stating charges have been filed, I have been notified, need to verify my employment and home address so I can be served. Very rude, calling family members too, scaring them into thinking were in some sort of legal trouble with the law. I also noticed that all of these posts are current, as in this month! Tried reverse phone search, no information available. Tried to look up their company, can't find anything. What are they trying to hide?

This "company" called my sister and brother in law.I returned the phone call because I know that I have student loans so I assumed that it was tied to this. So, I set up a payment plan. I did pay them about 120.00 to the balance. I asked for a bill. The lady told me they would send me one. I called them yesterday and asked for another bill The lady started acting very aggressive and rude. She said that they can't send me any kind of statement until the balance was was paid in full. I asked her what kind of loan were we talking about. She said that I had taken a loan out online via Urgent Money Services. I have never heard of that company nor would I take a loan out online without a person in front of me explaining the loan. It was almost $2500.
I found that kind of odd because I have worked with debt collectors and they always offer to send me a letter or a bill to verify everything because of scams. I finally told the lady I would be contacting my lawyer about this debt. She became very angry and continued to call my house and make verbal threats. I finally contacted my phone company to have her number and all private numbers blocked. I called the BBB, FTC, FCC and my police. I gave all information to them so if this company continues to contact me I can contact them and say they are bothering me again.
I cancelled my credit card and flagged my bank for any charges from Global Mediation. And I called the credit bureaus to flag anything that looks funny.

That Lisa Matthews called me too. She is very rude and unprofessional!! She even hung up on me!! I've dealt with many debt collectors over the years and they were always nice. One of the things I thought was curious is that they say the debt is from 2007 and they waited until 2011 to contact me. Another suspicious thing was that they said I'd be "served" papers instead of just having a letter with a court date mailed. Also suspicious was that I couldn't pay by money order, only Visa, Mastercard or prepaid money card from Wal-Mart. I told them I wouldn't have any money until August 1 and they said I had until 2:30 the next day, my time, to get a $3.00 Wal-Mart card and call them with the number to show good faith. In the intense heat and humidity,(no ac), I drove the 20 minutes to Wal-Mart just to find out that they won't sell you a money card unless you load at least $20.00 on it at that time. When I called Global to tell them this, the man I was dealing with - Ralph - said well that's not on us, that's on Wal-Mart. I never said it was on him. Also, he had said he would give me a hardship and let me pay $50.00 a month. The next day, he said he never said that and I had to pay $110.00  At first I was crying over all this; I've never been served papers and can't afford court costs. But, the time that I was scheduled to be served came and went and nothing happened. I don't know if that's because they are a scam, as people on the internet have said, or if it's because the address they have for me is old. I think they called back but I didn't answer, not sure though as they are always calling from a blocked number (further suspicion). I'm not going to stress over this anymore but I would like to get a hold of that Lisa Matthews person!!

I received a call on my cell phone from a "process server" supposedly hired by the  Global Mediation Firm, leaving a phone number of 877.238-9184.  When I called back the Global Mediation Firm, they pretended to be a law firm, but no attorneys were available, all having been out to lunch at 2:30 p.m.  This is a SCAM!!!!!!!!!  Do not even bother to respond to these dirt bags.

I  keep getting calls from 877-238-9184...stating that they are going to serve me papers to appear in court on a claim that was filed with him...So I asked...and you are?? He claim to be a locator that was hired to find me!! WOW!  They could not provide me with any information and YES they are very RUDE!! I do not have any outstanding debts so I knew it was a SCAM!! Please beware!!! His name was James Moore--(the locator)!! WHAT A JOKE!!

I got a call from Amanda Davis with the same BS.   This Davis person is probably a fake name for a person who can't get a real job.  The company, Global Mediation, doesn't exist in the format that they claim.  If Davis would ever actually get me in person (highly unlikely), I would tell her to "blow it out the other end"!

Got a call from 877-2381-9184 say I had a claim and charges filed against me. Except they used my step daughters name that I haven't even had contact with in 10 years. The called said their name was Amanda Davis from Global Mediation to return call. I called to tell them that was astep daughter thaat I hadn't seen in 10 years and how did they get my number in connection with her. I asked to speak to this Amanda Davis and they said noe worked there by that name and that the step daughter had called and settled it. They had a claim number and everything. After looking at this site I'm sure it is some kind of scam.

Had an answering machine message from 877-238-9184.  The guy, Mike Kayla (?), sounded rude and left a case number and said, "You've been notified!" and said to call him back.  I have no debts and pay off my credit card every month and have done so for years.  Also, he had my first name wrong.  He said it twice, so I know for sure he has it wrong.  So, yeah, I have no plans on calling them back.  

Sounds like either a scam or that it's a collection agency just fishing around in the phone book.  I've had calls like that before, "Call us back about a debt you owe!  Urgent!"  and then all it is is they're trying to find someone else with my same last name in the area.

Btw, if a collection agency will ONLY take a debit or credit card and not a check or even a post office money order, (they can be in big trouble if they commit mail fraud), I'd be suspicious.

I just got a call from Lisa Matthews also she called my work number and said that she was calling from some agency to serve me papers. She was very rude and also said that she would come to my job if i didnt give her a release form. I told her i wasnt giving her anything and to stop calling my job she said she will come to my job and make a big a** scene. I told her to come on and I will be waiting for her and she hung up. This is a scam they are called Global and they claim to be a mediation firm but they are not a real agency. I have found several other complaints from people about the same thing

Ok! So this lady Ruth Anderson calls my job today for a "claim" that is in her office and that if I do not call her back she was coming down here today to serve me paper! HAHAHAHAHA what a joke. First off she is not even in the state I am in and 2nd it takes at lease 30 days to serve papers.
