I get calls from them all the time. I will admit I have debts I owe, but a debt collection company is supposed to stop calling when you ask them to. I would love to pay back all my debts, but I work part-time at a minimum wage job and am in school full-time. I am working to get to a financial situation where I can pay back my debts, but I don't appreciate a company that refuses to respect my right to privacy. The funny thing about the "bot" messages from them, is there seems to be no name or it is garbled like so many have been claiming and there is never a file number, the systems just skips to the next part of the message. I don't know if they really have one of my debts, I just want them to stop calling. I have told them they can sent me what they need to via snail mail, but they haven't done anything.

My family and I keep getting calls from ncw debt collectors saying that I wrote out a fraudulent check.....I have never made out any checks ever in my life but the checks I write out for my rent and those I can prove are indeed legal and are not fraudulent and have been cashed by the renters themselves. my family and I keep informing this company that the information they received is incorrect and that they need to stop harassing my family and I. thank you for any help given in this matter in advance, I truly appreciate it. thank you!!

I've been getting calls from this number daily for my son-in-law who does not live here.  Though having given them the son-in-law's number and told to never call again which they agreed to do, they have continued for over 2 months since that time.  My son-in-law reports having called them to learn that they bought out an old company and is following up on those.  MY son-in-law says the issue has been resolved and has no legal grounds.  It doesn't matter to me.  I just don't want the calls to continue daily to MY number.  One name left on the messages has been John Williams.  In fact, I believe he is the one who promised to never call again if I gave him the son-in-law's phone number, which I did do that day.

Alaska Air Lines lost luggage in Chicago.  This is not a scam, poeple trying to return lost luggage, sometime numbers get mixed up, poor writing.  THIS IS NOT A SCAM

The do noy call list only applies to solicitations (sales) calls they are not selling anything they are trying to collect on an outsanding debt. if you are not the person or do not want phone calls to help you settle on a legitimate debt then the only way they will stop calling, based on federal law is to send them a cease and desist letter.  Simply asking them to stop calling if you are the debtor will not stop the phone calls.

These guys are scammers...I just got a call from one of them and they are now the same as JEC and Northtown Cap...I can tell you that they arent licensed to collect in my state and probably not your either due to flagerant violations of the FDCPA...just ignore the calls if you can or CHANGE YOUR NUMBER...its the easiest way to deal with them

I also have been receiving these calls on almost a weekely basis. I've called my phone company and was told they could not do anything, but was told that if I had my # on the do not call list that I could file a compliant with them and that once a company was filed as a complaint, they are charged a fee for everytime they receive a complaint against this company. So go to www.donotcall.gov and you can register your home and cell #'s with them then once you do so after 31 days of registering you can file a complaint against anyone that continues to call you that you once you have asked them not to call you anymore, with a few exceptions. Just go to the website and it's easy to register and to file a complaint. I filed my complaint today. I hope this takes care of my situation of these harrasing calls.

Yep, got the call (they left voicemail) today, garbled name, important message, blah blah blah.  Found this site and realized I got a call from these jokers a few months ago too.  -  as above, I believe they are debt collectors or scammer debt collectors...

A person named Richard Carlyle called and he gave information to a 3rd party when its supposed to be a disclosed matter. Tried to get information from me, home address, phon number, or anything that they can use. My wife did not give them any info about me, but he had the last four of my social so that was weird. There should be a website and a better business bural logo on there page. This site is all i found. Sure hope they get caught if they are false.

To block the call contact your cell provider.

To make your cell not ring when the pest calls assign this number the ring tone "no ring".  (If your phone doesn't have that ring tone you can download it.)  The calls won't stop, but they'll go straight to voicemail without ringing.

They (877-245-6424) call me sometimes 2 x Daily for at least 6 months and leave a message that I MUST CALL BACK, they give a claim # but mumble my name so I am not sure if they even know my name... Is there any way to block the number on my cell phone....?

My situation is very similar to yours. I have also been harassed by these clowns since early August. I called them back once, telling them to remove my number from their file because I had never heard of the person they were looking for, and that I had had the phone number for nearly 15 years at the same address. The calls have not stopped but, like yours, are escalating in urgency. I'd like to have a single week where I don't have a nasty message for some named "Morgan Conners" on my answering machine! I don't know what else to do other than cancel my phone service.

Do nothing I thought, was who that was, they called my grandmother asking for me about a fraudulent check... I was a BILL COLLECTOR for 2 yrs, there aint s*** they can do! First they wd have take  to court which I doubd they wd do over that BUT if they did u wd just have to pay it then, my husband is an attroney trust what I say!

People in Michigan are also being harassed by NCW, Inc. One of my family members has been harassed by this organization since early August.

To date, my family member has received 17 calls and voice mail messages -- despite the fact that I contacted this company on August 12 and told them that there was no such person at my family member's number. I also told NCW, Inc. that my family member had nothing to do with the person they were calling about, and that they needed to quit calling. NCW, Inc. stated that this was a criminal theft case that was pending, and that someone named Myra Taylor had listed my family member's phone number as a reference on cash advance paperwork. The NCW staff member said he worked in the pre-legal department and that they were investigating a complaint filed by Advance America and were going to send it to county. When I asked them what county NCW was going to send it to, he said they didn't know. Even though this person said he would quit calling, NCW, Inc. is still calling, threatening and harassing my family member.

I also reported this harassment to the local police department, and they refused to file an incident report.
They told me it wasn't their problem, and that no laws had been broken. Whose problem is it then?

My story is the same as many of those already written here. They are calling for the wrong person because I have never heard of the person they are referring to and I don't have any debt. They have been calling my house for nearly 4 months now.

We are receiving calls from this number.  We have told them to take our number off because we do not know Josh Kirk and am not related to him.  Yesterday Oct. 13, the caller got beligerent and said they would send a processer out.  My husband told him to please do so we could see what this is about, because he would not tell us anything about why they were calling.

I just wish we could get them to stop calling.

Rec'd a voicemail from a Mr. Williams from this phone number looking for my sister-in-law... stating she used my phone number on her application. It continued with him stating that she or her attorney needed to call him immediately or he would have no choice but to "close her file". I wish I had seen these posts before I called the number back, but I left a msg stating that she does not live here, and I am not close to her. Look elsewhere. Are these calls going to continue? This whole thing is pretty disturbing.

This bi*** name Angela called two of my associates linked to me online and told them that I committed fraud. Who in the hell are these people, and why don't the cops or FBI go stop them with all these complaints? I was contacted immediately about it, because the person didn't call me. I called to get down to the bottom of their bs and no one answered. We are already dealing with all that Bush brought upon us, I have no patience for a group of people trying to scam money.

they keep leaving messages on my phone for a person that does not live in there. when i called the number back and spoke to a man he kept talking over me and would not let me speak. i will be checking into this further and see what can be done to stop these harrassing calls.

Well, my story is about the same as everyone's else, except they were calling for me claiming to be Investigators hired by NCW.  I offered to pay the remaining balance but not giving my info over the phone.  I was told by woman named Angela Capoly that there was no other way to pay it except for giving them my info over the phone.  I tried explaining that I was not comfortable with this and wanted something in writing from them.  Well, she said she was going to call the other company (but they're not even open yet) and put me on hold.  While on hold my husband & I were having a conversation about this issue and she was sitting there listening to the whole thing and got very rude with me not letting me talk.  She hung up on me so I called back asking for a supervisor.  The operator knew I had just been speaking with this other woman and supposedly transferred me to someone else.  This lady then got extremely rude insisting that I give my bank account info to pay it.  I DON"T THINK SO!!!  She then told me that she was sick of me.  WTF is that all about.  I will definitly be contacting the NY Attorney General as well as the FL Attorney General about these scam artists.  Hope my little rant and rave about them helps anyone else with problems with them.

We just started receiving these phone calls last week from 877 245 6424 -- same MO -- need to talk about an important matter -- garbled name and message -- blah blah blah.  We have no debt and research has shown this is a total scam.  We are reporting to our State AG's office, etc.  DO NOT RETURN THE CALLS as it seems to keep your number in their rotation.  I do not see other "postings" from the west, so perhaps they are "reaching out" from their NY area??

Keep getting calls about an "URGENT MATTER." The message is for a garbled name I can't understand. I get a case number, but refuse to call back. I think they are phishing for phone numbers as well as trying to scare money out of people.

I have been recvg messages to my home # x2 weeks, from a woman identifying herself as "Sr. Investigator" looking for a "James C.".  This evening I called the # to attempt to notify her that she was calling the wrong # and to request that she stop her annoying calls.  She claimed that she could not look up the case that I was referring to without providing her with my phone #.   After much arguing back and forth, I began to realize that I was dealing with a possible scam.  I explained that I was not comfortable providing her with my information--the info that she obviously already had.  I was hung up on.  I did immediately call back requesting to talk to someone other than the "Sr. Investigator".  The man that I spoke to said, again, that he needed my hm # to look up my info.  When I refused, he said, "I see that you are calling from (xxx)xxx-xxxx.  Is this you hm #?" (you have got to be kidding with me!)  When I inquired what kind of business "NCW" was, he stumbled around trying to avoid answering my question...very vague and non-commiting to any good explaination.  He inquired if I was calling from California...again, if you have my caller ID #, you will see that I am not calling from Cali.  After last ditch effort, I did give my hm #, and he said that he would stop the calls.
