A local Elementary School in Columbia SC received over 50 back to back calls from this number tying up their phone lines for hours. Their claim was they were looking for someone in the school that had an account that was delinquent. These calls continued for days, and the represenantive was disrespectful and unprofessional on the phone. Both He and She spoke with Indian dialects, but identified themselves with American names.

Thank God for Google Voice & Google Number. Luckily I have a google account setup and that's the only number I have. Unfortunately spammers and scammers get a hold of my number. This particular number showed up and they left me a message. Here's the transcribed message:

Good Morning, this is Officer Austin White and this message is for Jose Harry. Jose you need to call me back on my number. It is (877) 246-4937. I repeat (877) 246-4937. You need to call me back on my number on extreme urgent bases, because there is a very serious case that has been filed against your name. Call me back or else you will be stuck in a very serious legal situation. Good Bye.

The funny thing is, the person they're asking for isn't even me. THIS CALL IS SOOOOO BOGUS!!!

This people f****n bug they called me asking for my husband and a couple of days asking for someone els I told them to stop calling that he had the wrong phone# and they called me all day and hanging up so I did the same thing to them ever since then haven't got a call. If they call u block ur # and call them back all day to

my grandma gets these calls never had a loan from a payday or loan service in her life. i just let them go to voicemail. the caller says she will be in big trouble if she doesn't return the call. B.S.

My husband has been getting the same calls you mentioned. When they leave a voicemail its the same guy every time, different name. My husband called him out. Well today they called, and they got ME! See I am one who has had her ID stolen. I am not new to this. I threatened to call local pd, fbi, bbb and he promptly said we will not call you or your husband again. I said I know you wont. I promised him it was in his best interest NOT to. He agreed and ended the call. Total scammers!!!

A male caller called a Health Care Center in Versailles, Ohio requesting to speak with an employee. Has called serveral times. The male caller advised his name is Joseph Warner. Has an Accent. Has called her at home as well. Advised if she doean't send him money she will be arrested and sent to jail. I called this number back spoke with a Mr. Warner. he was very rude and hung up on me. When I called the number back it states it's not a working number. Since the lady had reported it to the Darke County Sheriff's Office a day earlier it was turned over to them.

I keep getting a harassing phone call from a payday loan place saying I owe them thousands of dollars and this is affecting my job.  I told him to stop calling me but he refuses.  He said his name is Brad Nelson and everytime he calls he gives a different name. This is becoming a big problem and I need him to stop calling.

I received a message from a man with a heavy accent stating I had "accusations " against and I needed to call back Immediately. I have went round and round with an American collection agency who kept saying they we sending a process server to me because I was being charged with fraud for a payday loan I supposedly took out and didn't pay. I reported them so I guess they sold my info to an India collection company.  I now have reported them WILL THIS NEVER END!?!

One of our hospital staff members received a page from 877-246-4937, when the employee called the number the individual tried to extract personal information claiming to be with Homeland Security. Our employee declined to give any personal information and was threatened repeatedly with a law suit. The individual would not provide any information about their company, or name.

I too have received several calls from this jerk stating some of the same things he all has said you all.  My husband is in law enforcement and we are turning it over to investigations as he has called me so many times.  I would encourage all of you to do this.

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

This jerk has called me so many times I  am in the process of calling in law enforcemnt as this is phone harrasment,  he has doen the same thing to me many times, at least two times a month I get a call from this jerk and he is yelling and threats me  I think we all need to call Our local law enforcemnt and turn this in.   .

1/10/13. heavy thick indian accent from a Scott Olson, Bureau of Crime. Similar pitch to above. A Crime against my social security number, call back immediately or have lawyer call, or "good luck". He repeated his phone number incorrectly to us, first he said 877-346-4937 then 877-246-4937. I didn't call him back. Stupid waste of time. this is WHY i don't answer our home phone.

The same number called my fiancee multiple times threatening that our neighbor was to sue us for over 700$ and used his name. They also threatened him with jail time and wanted his SSN however when i called and reported i was his legal aide he hung up on us.They said they were with VA State investigation and that he had received a Cash Advance when he never had. I replied that we would counter sue the company and he began speaking in a thick middle eastern accent and pretended not to speak English.

These a***ipes are out of control - they called and left a message yesterday - trying be very intimidating, and had a real thick middle eastern accent.  So I called today, and told them never to call me again and attempted to give them my attorney's phone # and they would not take it and demanded that my attorney call them - I stated nope, you must call them and stop calling me.  He then actually gave the name of the place I work and stated that he is going to call them and let my job know that I owe some type of loan b***s***.  I then lost it - called him every name I could think of, including his momma and then hung up.  Then 45 minutes later I received a called from a local # here in Colorado (720 area code) I did not recognize the #, it went to voice mail and a man with the SAME freaking accent stated he was from Adam's County Police dept and gave a badge # and stated a warrant was out for my arrest and I need to pay 711.00 or they will come to my home and arrest me - lol.  I then called my attorney and he ran a reverse on the 720 # and sure enough it was the Adams country sheriff # (freaking weird huh).  He also researched the 877-246-4937 # and advised that it was a scam.  I then called the 720 local # and the Adam's sheriffs dept answered - I described the issue and he said he had several complaints as well about the same situation.    So somehow, they are able to generate calls from locations that they are not at???  B*****ds!  I would love 5 minutes with one of this jerks.  So now I have been calling the 877-246-4937 # and asking for Mr. D****Head and they have been getting pissed.

I just recieved a call at work from 877 246 4937. I am a security Guard and a plant and the first thing this man said was who he wanted to talk to I asked if it was an emergency and he said yes that said person's brother was in the hosptial and I asked him are you serious about the matter? He swore to me he was even though I could hear that he was in a Call Center I worked in one it's not hard to figure out. Well he started screaming at me and asked if I could leave a message due to policy I don't take messages I just transfer calls if needed then he proceeded to call me a Liar and screaming at me still asking for a manager I said sir I am security there is no one else you can talk to. I asked him to talk to a supervisor I nicely put I know you have one because I have worked in a call center he transfered the call I told the supervisor this ios a place of business we do not take personal calls on the plant floor he tells me I am going to get a arrested and that I was an assecory to said person crime and that was it enjoy jail. I called the number back got the name of the business and now looking it up to find out it was a SCAM! I hope they realize that threatening people through the phone or any form of electronics is against Federal Law. He will enjoy Jail.

Called my job threatenting me about a loan. Never got anything from these foreign people.  Kept calling back to back.  I told them do not call my job anymore. I recevied a threatening call from 877-246-4937 on my voicemail stating it was a time sensitive matter.  Within 5 minutes I received a message from work that they had called there.  I called them and they said I owed money on an outstanding cash call loan.  I don't.  I threatened to have my attorney call.  They hung up on me.

I also got the same threatning call and i do not either or nor have I ever got a cash advance I looked into it at one point but never went into it.. this is ridicoulous..

This number continues to call an Elementary School looking for someone.

I also received several calls from this number yesterday.  They left a very threatening message for my husband to call them back as soon as he gets this message, not to ignore the message and that if he didn't hear from him or is attorney of record then all he could do is wish him good luck as the situation unfolds on him.   I called the number back a guy by the name of (Mark Anderson) with a strong Indian accent answered, he wanted to know what number I was calling from.  I told him that he had just called he has the number then he wanted to speak with my husband, when I told him my husband was unavailable he started asking me questions as to who I was, where is my husband, does he still work at @###@?  I told him it was none of his business and asked him what company he is from, he got very rude and said he was from Clark Legal Associates investigation department and that my husband owed a cash advance company and a warrant would be issued for his arrest if he didn't hear from him.  I told him my husband doesn't owe any cash advances.  (I know this for a fact because I'm the one who pays the bills) I SHOULD KNOW WHERE MY MONEY IS!!
