These jerks just woke me on a Sunday morning (aren't they not allowed to call on Sunday).  I missed the call by the time I got to my phone.  Called the # back and got Taisa at Capital One.  She asked how she could help me.  I said YOU CALLED ME, what do YOU want?  She looked up my cell # and said I wasn't in the database, so she didn't know why I was called. (and thus couldn't stop further calls).  This is not the first time this has happened either!  I've never had any business with Capital One.   (and I certain wont' now that they harass me with calls!!)

These credit card companies are getting scared because some Americans are finally waking up and not charging beyond their means. It's a good thing. Maybe our economy will get a bit better because everyone isn't charging crap they don't need and we can recoop some of the market back. Thank God for caller ID. I just let my machine pick up and they hang up usually right away.

Just another annoying toll free caller

Apparently they have decided to annoy us weekly. I've changed our answering machine message because of calls like these. See below:

Number calls everyday, never call it back

I get calls from this number at all hours.  Is there any way to block calls???  I will never pick it up.

How do i permanently block this number calling me ? sOMETIMES I GET 3-10 CALLS A DAY  this is rediculous!thEY CALL ALL THE WAY UP TO 9:30PM SOMEDAYS ?

I am not sure that this is Capital One or GC Services (collection agency).  My SSN was stolen recently and I have been tracking fake checking and credit cards popping up.  One of the fakes was to Capital One.  I think these people are calling to find out the credit card numbers that Capital One mistakenly mailed to me instead of the crooks.  DO NOT give them any damn information - check your credit report and call Capital One directly.  If they don't know what you are talking about, then its fraud and you better watch out.

I had the same problem as KT. These people are idiots. I also do not have a Capital One card. I will never do business with Capital One.

I just got a call from this number. I found this site and although I do have a Capital One credit card I paid it off completely in Sept.

866-567-1751, 910-743-2274, 866-520-4551, 877-249-4007 are numbers that have called me in the past week,  All my research generally shows each of the numbers leads back to GC Services.

One other interesting item I've uncovered is they are only calling cell phones. Could this really be a method of accumulating known subscribed cell phone numbers to sell to 'phone spammers' just like email spammers? Something to think about.

Next thing is a Do Not Call Listing for cell phones - I see it coming.

That number calls me all the time. But f*** them, whenever I answer it is automated and the same thing. If i call back, they want my credit card information but I don't have a capital one card.

Keep getting calls from 877-249-4007 asking for first last name.  Female speaking broken English, I ask "..which one do you want?"  She adds middle initial.  Again I answer, there are two of us with that name, which one do you want?  She repeats the name 2 more times and I answer again asking which one do you want?  (My son is named  first initial last, II instead of Jr.)  I finally ask which company is calling, and she declines to identify.  I ask which date of birth, but she says that is private information.  I again ask which one do you want?  She repeats the name again and I repeat my answer.  She is totally confused and stupid.  My last comment to her was "...don't call back until you know who you really want.." and hung up.  My son is a teaching assistant for handicapped kids and a college student finishing his teaching degree at the same time.  There is a 3 paycheck lapse between the end of summer school and the beginning of the school year, and he is 2 payments behind.  He'll be caught up by mid October, but if they can't figure out what 'II' means after a name, I'm not providing the training!  At least I can waste their time.

Call from GC Service.  Collection agent for Capital one.  Have told them they have the wrong person.  These are the numbers they have called from 866-568-8468/866-565-2514/888-236-3643 and 877-249-4007.  How many times do we have to tell them wrong person, wrong phone number.

This phone number is for GC Services, which is a collection agency for Capital One.

GC Services.  Wanted callers 16 digit Capital One credit card account number so as to pull up information for some reason. (I called the number after being called from it many times, just to find out who answered.)
