Same as reported above. Except I told him he had reached a state government office and we had over 100 computers. I also told him all the incoming calls were recorded--he immediately hung up!!!

claimed to be 'Tech Support' for Windows Software.Claimed they did a survey in the area and that my area was 'loaded' with viruses and that I should turn on my computer so he can 'help' me with the 'problem'. After stringing him along he eventually hung up . No way was I going to let this bozo get on my PC remotely...
Beware .. He kept asking why I thought he was scamming me. He's obviously looking for ways to improve upon his lies. Idiot.

The old "pay us to remove viruses from your PC" scam. Caller spoke heavily-accented English, perhaps Indian?
