This number has been calling my home number for 10 months looking for a family member that I have no dealings with. I've requested they remove my number from whatever list it is on and was told they would. Two hours later I received a call again from the same number. I requested to speak to a manager since I could barely understand the foreign woman talking to me. I was transferred to some gut named Victor Gomez who told me they would remove the number but no one at their company had ever spoke to anyone at my number. I told him b***s***!!! I asked to for his manager. His managers name is Asia. Yea, I think that's where they were calling from. I called her back and she told me she would remove the number. I told her I would file some type of charges against her company if I received another call. We will see. They actually called from 800-684-9689

I GET AT LEAST ONE CALL EVERY DAY FROM 877-278-0018. THIS
HAS GONE ON FOR NEARLY A MONTH. VERY IRRITATING. IF I
SEE NUMBER ON CALLER ID, I DON'T ANSWER. OTHERWISE,
I ANSWER AND AM TOLD A REP NEEDS TO SPEAK WITH ME.
FIRST TIME THIS HAPPENED I STAYED ON LINE FOR 4-5 MINUTES
AND HUNG UP. MY ADVICE...DON'T ANSWER IF YOU SEE THE NUMBER
COMING IN ON YOUR CALLER ID...HOWEVER, IF YOU DO ANSWER,
HANG UP IMMEDIATELY (AND TELL YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS TO
DO THE SAME). AND, FINALLY, REPORT IT TO YOUR LOCAL TELEPHONE COMPANY...MAY NOT HELP, BUT IT WON'T HURT.

I explained to him that my son has cancer & is in very poor health & I take care of all his bills but the rep would tell me nothing. I will not give out my son's number which he does not have anyway to protect him from any more heartache. The rep was very rude.He would not give me any info pertainig to the call

The phone usually rings only three times. If I manage to answer it there is no one there. I have started not answering the phone unless I can see on the caller I.D. who is calling and if I don't recognize the number I won't answer. People can leave a message for a return call, these people do not leave a message.
Marie 2012-12-07 20:20:08 Unknown
..get a call at least once a day....simply disconnect the telephone terminating the call.
Will NEVER NEVER NEVER start a conversation with the SOB who initiates these calls.

My home phone gets 10 calls a week from this number and the caller always hangs up before they even say a word. Today, I finally tracked down the call and returned their call to find out they are a company called EOCCA which I was told by the person answering stands for nothing. I asked what kind of company this is and what EOCCA stands for. He replied, "It don't stand for nothing, ma'am." And he hung up.
I've had this same # for 20 years and the person they said they were trying to reach, I've never even heard of. They would not say why they were trying to reach him.

They are clearly doing this again as it's Nov of 2012 and my home phone gets 10 calls a week from this number and the people hang up before they even say a word. Received message (from Carrie Smith) asking me to call back if I knew so-n-so. My dead ex-husband who I haven't talked to in 20 years.

They just called my mom looking for her ex husband who just died over 1000 miles away. THey haven't been married in 20 years, haven't spoken in almost as long, and he was married at the time of his death with two grown children. Keep it classy debt collection.

Recieved a call from a carrie smith wanting a address or phone number for my oldest son, have no idea what thay want
unclescrooge 2012-08-24 01:46:58 Unknown
"Carrie Smith" called my house looking for an old girlfriend's sister. I knew them both over too long ago to remember. I hung up.
If they call again I am telling them to get lost because they have the wrong number. Any debt that old, no one has any business trying to collect because it's been written off by the original lender and any possible paperwork to prove the validity of the debt would likely long been disposed of.
Secondly...I'm been happily married for 23 years. I've had no contact with that whack job white separatist family in 25 years.
And even IF I knew any of that whacko family's phone numbers, the last thing I would do is help these alleged law violators harass someone.
Let them do their own work.

Received phone call for someone else and informing me I have to call their automated number to have my number removed. Where is governmental regulation on this?
Cindi 2012-06-27 21:26:17 Unknown
What a bunch of rude jack***es. Not only will they not ID themselfs they have the nerve to ask you personal information without even taking a breath or letting you speak. What is happening in our world that people think that is is exceptable?
Joanne 2012-05-21 19:48:06 Unknown
They have called my phone a couple times and when i ask who they are they give me some initials, EALS, I ask what it's about, they tell me they can't verify until they know who they are speaking too and ask for my personal information. I said, "Why the heck will I give you any information about me when you called me and won't me." She then stated it was federal and state law and that she had all of my information sitting infront of me & that she even knew where I lived. I said, "Good then show up at my house and see what happens." She actually hung up on me. They just called again and I told them I don't know any Joanne and she said they'd keep calling back until they reached her at this number. So I'm going to report them.

This company continues to call my elderly parents home leaving messages that I need to call them. Haven't lived with my parents in 20 years. Have no idea what they want. don't owe any debts.
Always states it is carrie smith calling at 877-278-0018 and that I need to call her immediately.
Paule 2012-04-27 22:53:23 Unknown
PLEASE STOP THESE UNWANTED CALLS. THIS CALLER DOES NOT REVEAL ITS PHONE NUMBER AND ACTS LIKE ONE MORE SOLICITOR.

I receive calls from this number multiple times a day, I am getting sick & tired of these people calling my number for someone who does not live in this house.

The company is EOS CCA. They are a large collection agency. They are calling my number for someone I do not know. They have been informed of this, but continue to call. I have received calls from them at midnight and 1am. They have violated the Fair Debt Collection laws by calling at prohibited hours and providing information about the debtor to me. I know who she is, and how old the debt account is.
If you have received calls from them either erroneously, or if they have violated the law in attempting to collect a debt for you, please do the following after carefully documenting dates & times of calls and who you spoke with.
1. File a complaint with the Better Business Bureau regarding their business practices and how you have been wronged.
2. File a complaint with the FCC regarding any harassment via phone, failure to stop calling, pre-recorded messages etc.
3. File a complaint with the FTC regarding Fair Debt Collection laws.
4. File complaints with the Attorneys General of your state and the state in which they are headquartered (MA).
5. Send them a certified letter, signature required with return receipt demanding they stop calling. Last resort may be to contact law enforcement regarding harassment and/or a lawyer.
In my case, all of the above applies as I've been threatened and insulted for a debt that isn't even mine as they clearly think I am the person they are looking for even though our names are not even remotely similar.
