they are a secondary collection agency, after you are no longer resposible to your primary lender, they sell it to a second party for attempt a collection. I have no idea who would really get the money if you sent any.

You are correct in that a 3 year statue of limitions is set for creditors to take someone to court for collection. After that, these dedit collectors pay pennies on a dollar to the creditors to buy your dedit then come after you. The therory is: if they buy 10 dedits for 15.00 each, pay someone min way to cold call they might get one fool to freak out and make payments! Whala! they make money! I've had idiots calling me since 97 on credit card dedit and haven't paid one red cent! I even had one a$$hole atty take me to small claims court and if I hadn't showed up to dispute thier claim they would of won by default. All I had to do was ask for proof of of my signature (activity on the account) in the last 5 yrs and that the fact the time was past the statue of limition. I could of counter sued but didn't. The judge sided with me.

I recieved two calls from 1877-290-6002....within a two hour span. They would ring my cellphone twice and then hang up. I called  back and  I couldn't catch a name of the person, but I hung up. I did call back an additional time and no one answered and it went to voicemail. They need to stop calling people phones and hanging up. This is a very unprofessional company.

I called 611 on my cell and the phone company blocked them from calling me for 90 days.

Received two calls this far ... one yesterday from 817-789-4189 and then another this morning from 877-290-6002.  I called that later number shortly after I got the call and hung up.  I gave them a verbal kick in the fiber optic tail!  I have since blocked these numbers.  

No one should have to put up with this kind of inconsequential BS, these people must be destroyed so they can no longer pro-create!

did not call back; had found out from previous calls from this company that they were calling to collect a debt from 7 years ago for Fashion Bug.  Told the person that I absolutely did NOT owe anything on that account, had not been to this store in 2003 (?).

the person had stated that there was a debt owed for something over $500; again, I told her I wasn't paying a cent because I didn't owe anything.  she then offered me a "deal" saying that i could just pay $200 and "make this all go away"(?!)  again, i told her that i do NOT OWE ANYTHING, and requested that she send something via mail stating all of this (for my atty and the atty gen's office).

ended up receiving a letter from them using the name of some bank in TX, stating i owe this money and should send payment to a PO Box in CA or they would seek a 'judgment' (?!) against me in court.  my bank does NOT have info on my acct from 7+ yrs ago, and co.s cannot seek money from more than 3 yrs ago.  

'personally, i think they use the 'debt collector' thing to get past the Do Not Call list, which i am on

This peson Deborah, used very vulgar language.....tried to out talk me.....this company is very negative and rude...
