I live in Canada,I just got a scratch card in the mail today.I scratched the card and it said I won 10,000.One chance apparently in a million.I Looked the card over ,it gave an address that is in our province.I couldnt  find teh address and where,But there is  a phone number to call to claim my prize.Guess what the number? 1-877-297-8514.Needless to say I won't be calling that number

this number keeps calling and then hanging up

I have received 15 calls across six days on my cell phone from 877-297-8514. I haven't spoken to anyone since I was not available each time they called, sometimes several times in as many minutes. When I call them back to tell them I am on the "do not call" list and that it is a federal offense to call cell phones on that list, I get a busy signal.

I recently ordered some stuff online and tonight got a call from this same number...877-297-8514. It was hard to understand the man and he was trying to sell me something at a cheaper cost. He used the name Sean Connor @ Vedanda Solutions 877-297-8514 ext 934. Something didn't seem right about the guy or call. I didn't even have to say anything about his call and already offered me the call back number to try and get me to give him a call back and my credit card number. His original price for 2 bottles was $90 a piece. I declined the offer and he then dropped the price to $90 for both. After still declining the price he dropped the price again to $79.99 for both.

I wouldn't give anyone my information that calls me but this site was very useful. If you receive a call from this number and person don't trust him.

Just got a call from a man of Eastern India dialect, telling me I purchased some nutrition Acai berry pills as a trial ( I did but from an online company) and told me if i give them my CC# they can save 1/3 the asking price if i purchase 3 months worth, he was very pushy (telemarketer) and asked him to send me the information via email. I was hoping for a business letterhead but it was drafted up in a way that made me very Leary of doing any business with them, especially since i asked if they were affiliated with the company i ordered from off the internet, He said 'NO' but that he and other companies get this information from the internet. i did not give him my CC#

I got a call today similar to Christy(8/14/2010), someone named Steve called to offer me a better deal than what I ordered myself online.  He was  very persistent, but after my hesitation he give me a phone number(877-297-8514) extension # 644, and said he worked for VEDENZA SOLUTIONS??  I have always heard to NEVER, give any personal or financial information over the phone from a call that you did not make yourself.  I think that is sound advice, I am glad that I stuck to my guns

Got a call from this man that said i made a order of something ago, I could not realy understand what he was saying...the number was showing private but when i said i wont give my visa # through the phone he gave me this number for me to call back and confirm he was not a scam.....i looked up the number he gave me 1 877 297 9514 and found this site........never give anyone your visa on the phone or internet

I recenty ordered something online and a few hours later a man calld me from that number he said that his name is Steve Cambo and he could offer the same thing but at a cheaper price. He wanted to get my credit card number, he said that he would ship the stuff out right away and wanted me to cancel my order from the other company. I asked him how he got my name and number all he said was he got it online. It's a good thing I didint give him my credit card number!

Unfortunately since MOST PEOPLE never file complaints with DONOTCALL.GOV for telemarketers and Scam calls like this - the governement CAN'T do anything at all

IF YOU ARE ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST - REPORT THEM - ITS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.

JUST GO TO DONOTCALL.GOV AND CLICK ON FILE A COMPLAINT - ITS EASY!

if not on Do Not Call list go to wwwl fcc.gov and report them as well.  

Also notify your state attorney general

Now that the govt. is taking care of our health issues perhaps they could do something that ALL Americans would appreciate and that is getting tough on phone calls such as this.  The FCC could put heavy fines on these companies so severe that would respect our wishes on privacy.

this # just called me and said this is Jacob Harris from London Ontario Police Department. The man tried to scam me out of $3000. i used 411 to find out that the  # was from Montreal not London. Never believe anything from this #, major scam!

Yeah I just got a call and the man who i could barely understand said I have a 25 free visa gift card for my area code which is my cell phone. I dont get how these companies get our cell phone number, these calls are getting out  of control. Then he asked for my info and i said im not interested and hung up

A man called today twice, said he was from France and my daughter named Ann needed to talk with me right away. I told him he had the wrong number. (I don't have a daughter.)
He called a second time and put a women on the phone who began rambling on and on.
I told her she had the wrong number.

this man called and was trying to tell me i can get a 30 free trial to somthing and then i handed the phone to my husband and my husband stated we are no interested and hung up then not even a minute later the same man called back again and ask why we hung up on him my husband repeted we dont want it dont call again then hung up then the man called right back again and ask agin why he hung up my husband stated we dont want it and he dont want him calling back my husband repeted that 4 times and said you are a tellamarketer and i dont want you calling back the guy stated he was not a tellamarketer so my husband stated i will find out where you are at and i will call the police dont call back well i hope the harrasment stops this is rediculious having calling like this i am  dissabled and dont need this kind of harrasment thank you oh and i did report this to my local police department and we will see where this goes
