Sonya (Sonja) Thompson? left me a message saying she's an "encoyer",,,what is that? Brothers!I Is she trying to imply that she's a lawyer? Impersonating a lawyer..hmm..
Said it was a courtesy call and they are going to deliver a certified letter to my home or work place,,Only one I know that can deliver a certified letter is the United States Postal Service. If they try to do that they are impersonating a postal employee, That's federal chargers against them.  They claim they have pertinent information about me but want me to verify that.. that in itself is fraudulent activity. Need I say more? I am sure the National Attorney General's office will be glad to handle that. Not going to the state going to the top.

I got a call and asked to 877-299-1591 and they gave me a reference number of UBP817047. Said they had a claim to deliver to my workplace or home.   I called the number and someone by the name of Mr Hunt answered and said he was the claims office.  He then wanted my personal information. I told him I didn't have any idea who he was and I was not giving any information over the phone.  He said this in reference to a claim.  I said if you feel you have a claim you can mail it to me via US mail and then he said he had to terminate the call.  What fools do they think we are wanting me to give personal information over the phone to someone I have no idea who they are regardless if they say they have a claim or not.

Yeah, I got the same call... will see if they call back.

THAT IS SO TRUE BECAUSE MY FRIEND WORKS FOR THE POST OFFICE AND I ASKED HER. ONLY THE POSTAL CAN DELIVERY CERTIFIED MAIL!

I JUST GOT A CALL FROM THEM AS WELL WITH THE 877 NUMBER AND THEN THEY GAVE ME A REFERENCE NUMBER. I ALWAYS SAY IF THEY HAVE SOMETHING IN WRITING, THEN SEND IT TO ME AND THEN MAYBE WE CAN TALK ABOUT MY SO CALLED DEBT. IF THEY CAN'T PROOF THAT I OWE ANYTHING I AM NOT PAYING ANYTHING. THEY HAVE BEEN COMING TO MY RESIDENCE OR EMPLOYMENT FOR YEARS AND LIKE SOMEONE ELSE SAID IF THEY DO COME IT WILL BE TRESPASSING. HOW DO YOU EXPECT PEOPLE TO JUST GIVE MONEY AWAY TO ANYONE NOW A DAYS, GET REAL PEOPLE!

I now got two messages from a Mark Rogers who says he is with a courier service and my name and SSN# match and that he is going to be delivering certified mail to my place of residence or employment.  First off wh would a courier have my SSN#, never hear of that before HUGE red flag went up. Secondly I have never been contacted by any kind of collection agency prior to this about any "debt" owed.  I would really like to know if this is a scam for sure but don't know where to look.  I did however file a complaint with the FTC, as I have got a call from a Sonja about 2 months ago claiming she was with some lawyers office that isn't even listed ANYWHERE and when calling her back to ask for mail via USPS to correspond via writing it was NOT a "normal" business message all it said was "please leave your name and number" like any regular cell phone recorded message.  I think these two scammers are workin together, very very scary and frustrating. Did anybody actually have them show up?

These people are trying to scam you into calling a number about a fictitious "case," and threatening with legal action, etc. Don't buy it! The FTC is onto their scam and if you mention that, they will begin calling you from a blocked number.

I got a call from Sonya too today. I know its a scam so I am going to ignore it.

These people have scared me with an amount that I know is absurd. I never receive this money and now they have all my information. Feeling scammed and contacting an attorney if they insist I took this money without paying it back. Don't I repeat don't give your social to them. Still waiting for their visit... not.

getting the same messages as everyone else on here....constantly calling my work or cell with a 'restricted' number.  today is was from Emily Davis --- coming to see me at my work or residence.  WHEN can these people be stopped from harrassing everyone!

Pretending to be a courier with certified letters to delivery is equally fraudulent. Private companies do not delivery certified mail only the U.S.Postal Service has that authority. This company along with others like it are debt collectors using illegal tactics to scare people into paying them.

You have the right instinct to demand validation of the supposed debt.  Try to get them to give you their address - that way you can send them (certified mail) a letter demanding they only communicate with you via US mail.

Leave them a message they will call back. This is a legal matter. They will take it to court if you don't settle out of court. They sent me proof. They are contacting family members because you listed them as a reference on application somewhere. So just take care of it. They took 2000 less then what was originally owed/

We have got a call from a similar place out of Texas. They called our other family members. It sounded fishy. So we requested that they mail us info and proof. After that they quit calling. Now this 877-299-1591 is calling. Everytime we call it's a answering machine.

Update.. I contacted these guys back. They are a collection for a attorneys office
They collect for defaulted loans and check fraud. U should call because they will settle out of court
I are takin half of what was owed originally. Contact them or u will be embarrassed in court

Did these guys actually show up on any of you. They call me often and now told me they would be out at 12-5 to deliver to my residence or employer. Well if they show up to my employer, security will call the cops and they will be arrested for trespass.

202 is another company , they have my account i agreed to pay one company, 877 number... i paid it it was check i had out standing with Bank of america

They work for some firm out of tx i think for checks and fraud something not sure i got same call  , my wages  are  about to be garnish....

THEY  ARE ARBATRAION OR SOMETHING ..  BY LAW WHO EVER IS COLLECTING ON DEBT OR HAVE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION,  YOUR LAST FOUR OF SOC SEC NUMBER IS SUPPOSE TO BE VERIFIED THAT  WAT YOUR PERSONAL  BUSINESS IS NOT BEING PUT OUT THERE TO  ANYONE BUT YOURSELF, SO  PROVIDING THE LAST FOUR IS A GOOD THING, ITS A SCAM TO BORROW MONEY AND WRITE CHECKS TO DIFFERENT STORES WHEN  YOU  KNOW THE MONEY NOT THERE

I got  the same call its an agency , or some type place that does arbatration or something, for varies  creditor

I received the same call as the first post.  I received a 2nd call the next day.  I have reported these people, but I'm constantly told there's nothing they can do because they keep changing their numbers.  Very frustrating and scary.

I have recieved this type of call twice. What a scam. I bet they need to verify my SS#! They are getting good, creeps.

I received the exact same call as above. This is the 2nd time with a different #. How do they find #'s? I am sick and tired of it. The last time, after I researched the 202 area code, I called the lady back and let her have a piece of my mind. They never called back. Now I am getting calls from the 877#. This is crazy.

I received a call from a Sonya and she stated she works for a currier and to inform me they are delivering something to my address or place of employment. She gave me a refrence number AAF9403773 and stated to call and they will fill me in on the information. The number she stated to call to is 1-877-299-1591 and when I called they answer the phone claims and can I have you refrence number. They stated they are UMB processer company and would not say anything else and when asking questions they stated they need to verify personal information before can proceed with call and I kept asking questions and they released the call. Please have them stop harrassing people!!
