I got a call from this number and the guy said i was being sued.. Unless i pay them money... So, i told him go F&#k your self..

I also filed a complaint with the California Attorney General, you should too!

I had the same thing happen to me today.  They told me they were a law firm and that the man I was speaking with was a paralegal.  He was slick, everything he said was legit, however the company is NOT a law firm.  I have a good friend that is a paralegal for a real law firm that collects debts and I spoke with him and he told me everything this man said could be true, however no one will call you to tell you they are going to serve you papers and you can not be sued by a firm outside of your state (I do not live in California).  He also told me that I can now sue this company for falsely identifying themselves as a law firm for up to $1000 for each occurrence based on the Fair Debt Collections Act.  So everyone here you go! Sue the crap out of this company!!!!!  I'm glad I have a lawyer!

I just got a call from WPG saying my husband was getting sued..the lady on the message knew our address too..so i looked up the number and found all yous with similar problems. Should I just ignore it?

This debt collector is using illegal methods. Somebody named Scott Matthews called me on my cellphone and left a message saying that there's a formal complaint filed against me. And that I have to contact them (he said he worked for WPG which i guess stands for Western Performance Group) within the next 12 hours. They lie and deceive people. Beware.

Received call today stating the person was from the Verification Department of PG Associates and they were going to file a grievance against me. They said I or my attorney needed to call them back within 24 hours or they would be forced to pursue legal action against me.  He said they knew my maiden and married name, where I lived, my address and other important personal information.  Must be a very old debt.

Receiving threatening phone calls from a man "Lee" at my place of work.  Leaves messages that he is a processor and is trying to serve papers.  It's for a unsecured debt - at least 11 years old in the State of Texas!  He has information I believe he's pulling from our credit bureau - threatens to hurt our vehicle financed thru Ford Credit.  I'm sending a do not contact letter today.

These people are debt collectors from defaulted on credit cards. Don't loose sleep over it. Don't talk to them. Take care of yourself first, debt second and scum debt collectors last.

I got a call  from this phone  number  . it sound  like  is a chain of scam  they threat me  if I dont give information a bout my man they going to garnish my salary  they  also tell me very specific things of my personal life  like were do I work and what I do for living . sound very scary.  cant sleep  .  feel like some body is watching me all the time. feel very sick .

Peter called my house and told my wife that i will be served with court papers the next day and that someone should be at home to sign for receiving it and he left this number 657-309-5499 for me to called him back.My wife called me at work and told me i called him back and he told me that i was being sued for $3500.00 and i should pay him and he can help me he would stop the court papers so i said i will call you back as soon as i make sure this is a ligit debt and that you and your company are legit he said that if i pay him now he can reduce my debt to $2000.00 and i should pay it all now becuase i can't make payments and he knows my credit report i am guessing he pulled it up i have a credit card with a $2000.00 credit limit he went on to say that i can use that to pay him or my salary will be garnish and lot's of bull s*** i paid him $1500.00.So a 3500.00 debt came down to $1500.00 realyyyy anyway i fell for his scam and paid that son of A !@#$%.Thank god i used my credit card to pay him because he said his secretary would send me a e-mail to confirm my payment never got the e-mail and i decided to google his phoen number and read allll the post about WESTERN PERFORMANCE.Called my bank they tryed to call him he refused to talk to them but my bank stop the transaction and i received my money back .I did report the address and phoen number to the FTC.

This number keeps calling my minor child leaving threatning messages on her cell phone.

I got a call from John Green, saying they were a serving a civil complaint, and if I didn't call them with in 24 hours a warrant would be issued, and my address has been varified and I risk loosing my property.  When I called the number a man answered said his name was Lisa, (very deep voice for a Lisa).  He was very rude and smart a**.  The number he called on my phone was Private, but the recall number he left was 877-309-5499.

I got a call from this number on cell phone, the voicemail message said that they will file a complaint if Iam not cooperate and if am not call them back in 24 hours, how would I call them back I don't know, if there are legitimate they should do it in writing so I may know who they are.

I got a call from this number stating that they were going to file a grievance against me if I didn't call them with in 24 hours.  If I didn't call back they were going to go ahead and file the grievance and I can't do anything about it. The ladys name was Emily.  She said that she works in the veritication department of WTG.  I called three times and the phone would never ring.  I called because I don't know what they are talking about.
