They have been calling me for months, and sometimes on different numbers too. I never pick up but each time they leave the same message. They are trying to contact someone else, not me. I finally got annoyed enough to call them and when I did I spoke to a representative who was confused why the person they were trying to contact gave them my number but he said he'd take my number off the list. Not even a few days after I was "taken off the call list", they started calling me again.

When I closed my Fido account I had about $150 owing. I never paid- not because I couldn't afford to but because Fido are scumbags who screwed me at every opportunity and I didn't feel like paying them another cent. These jerks started calling not long after but eventually gave up. I found it hilarious today when they tried again over a year later for such a small amount. Don't worry about these a**holes. Enjoy the fact that they are wasting their resources chasing pitiful amounts from customers who will never pay because they are disgruntled about terrible service.

They are GLOBAL collecting for, I believe, Rogers, and since we have previously requested no contact, when we return the call they claim our number is not in their system, REALLY they had just called us a minute before! I firmly believe this is never going to stop as we have even threatened a cease and desist from our Atty. BUT for a mere $10 I can change my number, Magic Jack renews in a week.... end of problem :D

As noted by others I have been getting regular telephone calls originating from this number. Sometimes they call and ask me to hold, but after a minute I hang up. After the first time, now I just hand up. This is some type of scam, if it was not then the person or company calling would certainly tell you who they are.

I have no idea how they got my cellular number, but know that they have it they are getting quite annoying, or maybe better put pissed off.

I also see that some have learned that it is Fido. Why would they try to get in touch with customers in this manner.  It does not seem ligament.

They called my work cell phone. I don't give that number out outside of work and family. I think they must be some kind of scummy outfit...

Stop calling my phone.  I have waited to speak to someone to tell them to stop calling for up to 10 minutes on hold and i hang up.  STOP!!

I kept getting calls as well, but they were for someone else, I just called them and said i'd gotten numerous calls for the same person from different companies and he was obviously the previous owner of my phone number. Took me 1 minute.

Just got a new phone with Koodoo and within 1.5 weeks these people started calling. I called back and was told they (Global Credit) were looking for someone completely unknown to me who had supposedly listed me as a reference. After promising to take me off the list, they called back several hours later from another number [(866) 431-0660]. And to think I dropped the land line to get away from this type of harassment! I have registered with the CRC's "no call" program but that requires 31 days to take effect. I'll see what, if anything, happens then!

I got a new phone on Fido, gave my old one to my wife, no plan, loaded up with $100.00 on Fido.
Ever since she's getting calls from 877-330-1816 and 877-337-3836
I will contact Fido, since it's a real nuisance.

They called yesterday (it was a recording) and said that that they've been trying to get in contact with me for a while with no response and that its an urgent matter and that its not a telemarketer but the person they want no longer has the phone number they are calling (which is mine) They didn't leave a company name

Well, I did block 1-877-337-3836 since I got call more than 5 times and did not leave a message. Now she called from 1-877-330-1816 and asked me to call them back. I am not calling back since she did not state what the reason, name of person, or what company she is from. I am blocking this number 1-877-330-1816.

This number has been calling me for months.. I never answer it and finally today I decided to call them. Someone answered and they would not tell me who they were. I asked them to stop calling me, they said they would take me off their list.. so im guessing they are some telemarketing or something. I am not sure but these guys need to stop I am reporting them. they are mad suspicious we need to find out who they are.

Just try to find a way to block them, or its better to ignore all toll free callers on your phone.

If you have 'call manager' from Rogers -or a similar call treatment system from your phone provider (e.g. Primus has this)  call in to Rogers and ask that they 'forward' that 1-800 number to some other number.  Pick any number you want- at least now the 1-800 people will not reach you but instead reach some other person or company.  Maybe forward them to 1-250-930-4268 which is a 'not in service' number.  That way they will hopefully take your number off their list when they realize it is not in service - even though your real number *IS* in service.

they wouldn't connect me, then asked my number, then told me who it was for, they don't live here, he wanted more information, i said i don't have any i can give.

I called and it was an answering service for other companies. When I asked who they were he said "we make calls for several companies" and he wanted my phone number so he could check. I owe no money to anyone so I'm still not sure who called me.

I have Solo Mobile.  I have set up 2 different ring tones.  One with my contacts ID and one that indicates I don't know this number.  I choose not to answer the 800 series ph. calls.  It's my money and they will not be allowed to spend it for me.  I am NOT in debt nor  have I walked away from any outstanding bills.  I know its frustrating, but I am the one in charge.  I turn my phone off.

They called my home but the recorded message said "Pleazse press 1" - I hung up.

These scumbags have been calling me for several months.  It is probably for a Rogers bill I walked away from due to the fact I feel I don't owe the money.  They got all their property back and I feel I paid too much considering the inconvenience they put me through.  The number Rogers had was my pay as you go phone.  So not only did Rogers not man up and admit they were wrong and apologize to me, but they breached my privacy by giving my phone number to these idiots.  I am NEVER going to answer the phone so give up.  I programmed my phone to be silent when you twits call me.  You would think these people would realize they are calling a mobile phone??  They NEVER sent a letter which is a breach of Ontario law.  They just started phoning me.

This person named Ryan keeps phoning in asking for some woman that doesn't even work here. This is a business phone number not a personal or home phone number. Did not identify what company he was with.
