They keep calling, if DirecTV wants to give me a discount they should just give it. This is harassment!

The thing about Directv is when they offer you promos of any kind, if you cancel your service before that promotional offer is over, they charge you the cost of the promotional offer. For example, if they promise you 6 months at $10 off, if you cancel your Directv service, they will then charge you $60 plus other fees for cancelling. They look at their promotionals as a contract with you to keep you as their customer....and they will hold you to the promotional time.

I called this number back after reading here that some people got discounts from Direct TV and sure enough thats who it was. She said that they had noticed that my contract is up in January and also that I wasnt currently receiving any discounts or promos so they are going to give me $10 off per month for 6 months, Show Time, Stars and the Sports pack free for 6 months also. I asked if it was going to extend my contract and she said "no we just want to offer this to you since you are nearing the end of your contract this way when it comes time for you to renew or shop around you will remember that with DTV we try to ensure that you are getting every discount availible to you." Then she also said that she could upgrade all of my receivers and give me the NFL ticket free for this year if I wanted to extend my contract for 1 year.

It's Direct TV. They asked how my recent service request was handled, I told them great, and they are taking $5 off my next bill for providing feedback. No sales pitch or anything.

They never leave a message. I do not answer the phone without knowing who's calling. I've now put this number on my reject list.

This number keeps calling on my cell phone and never leaves a message. I just called it back and it's a toll-free number for DirecTV. More than likely they want to upgrade an existing TV subscription.
