We are screening calls because it's part of our job. Relax, calm down. It's okay it's part of the process. Our CEO's have worked hard to get where they are and are entitled to have their calls screened. They are busy and we shall continue to do as told by our respectful superiors. Please don't take this matter so seriously it's not good for your health to get so riled up. In most cases, yes they are in a meeting or conference call.

I think the real problem here is shady and sketchy sales people or companies, such as yourself.

Chris Peoples called, said he had called last year and was unable to meet with us and did I remember him?  He said pretty much what is said on the other posts that he was with the conference of mayors and that he wanted to meet with me and discuss how my business could be helped by state and local government contracts.  He proceeded to ask me many questions about the business which I declined to give as I didn't even know who he was.  But I did make an appointment with him for the Friday morning following the call on Wednesday at 9:00.  He did not show up.
I will always BEWARE of calls like this.  I'm glad that I didn't give him any information; he does not seem like a trustworthy person.

We are not spamming this site, I own and operate my own manufacturing company in its fourth generation. We have been around for almost 100 years!  We met with these so called scammers (truthfully I only invited them in, only to get them on camera to report them to my attorney general, and any news station locally)  However after meeting with them, allot of things were cleared up.  The program is legit, however the way the caller approaches setting the appointment. is a bit shaky partly because they are so vague.   I won't get into the details but I encourage anyone who wants specifics to look me up.

I just don't believe the gull of some of you secretaries, owners and receptionist.  You guys lie all the time, saying the owner is in a meeting, he is doing this doing that, even in the case of this posting, you admitted to lying to the caller.  WTF, yet you cry or think everyone who calls asking for the owner is lying, I wonder why?  Think maybe because you lie all the time, is the reason why you think every caller is lying to you.  Secondly what I really can't understand is why so many owners act as if they are scared of sales people, when the truth of the matter is the world runs off commerce, if things were not sold or bought the world would not move further more if your company doesn't sell, items, itself(reputation) or name it doesn't make money.  So the salesman is scared of the salesman.  Ridiculous!

This guy called me and said he was from New Mexico Economic Recovery Department.  Caller ID said his number was 202-249-7364.

Lynnore called from 202-249-7364 and said she was referred by one of the owner's business collegues. Said she was from "Direct Economic Growth" I think.  She needed to bring him up to speed with the services they offered etc. And gave a call back number as 877-375-5916. Seemed sketchy and sneaky!

Still calling. These jerks won't give up. Called after hours claiming to be with State of Michigan Economic Department. Said it was an emergency. All he wanted was to set up a meeting after my boss told him to mail the information. Claiming to be with the State of Michigan is fraud. I am forwarding the call report to the Michigan AG. I am through playing games with these crooks.

I received a call (for our CEO) from Leslie Young.  When I asked for the name of the company he told me the call was of a personal nature and to "just tell him his file is on my desk, he'll know what this is about" -- and would not give me the business name.  I googled the number, found this site.  Called the number back, got "partner america" -- waited on line to speak to Leslie's supervisor (hmm?) and told him call was inappropriate and to take us off the call list.  Won't be passing this along to the boss.

Call from a Jason Arndt (spelled his name) said he was the Director of the Department for Economic Growth and Development for New York.  Said he was in the City next week and was hoping to catch up with my boss during that time.  Said he tried to get together with him last year, but got tied up in Washington and had to cancel.  He said that the number would connect us back to Tammy who would transfer us to his cell.

This is scam company, call your local A.G. if you get a call from them, they c will calim to be from a state govt. agency, just called me andd said they were calling Massachusetts Commerce Department, other times they will falsley say they are calling from "so-and-so's" office, usually some local politician(sometimes out of office, sometimes, dead)

Barb Newton from 877-375-5916 said my boss is expecting her call.  Not valid.  Why do callers have to be so tricky when it comes to contacting people. I'm so sick of these sneaky people!

Got a call today from Tamika Hightower. Said she is one of the directors of Economic Growth & Development with the State of Florida. Asked for owner. When I said I was his partner, she started asking all kinds of questions about our business. My radar was up, so I told her I would have to call her back as I was about to go into a meeting. She said to call 877-375-5916.  I called back & she said she was with the U.S. Conference of Mayors & she had an "open file" on her desk about my company & someone wanted to meet with us to learn more about our business in order to guide us to various resources that could help us. Radar was way up. She was not believable. I terminated the call.

(left in Voice Mail) Caller was Moe Carter who claimed to direct business development in NY. He claim to have been given a referal for our company. Will not call him back.

Knowing that the Partners in America and Council of Mayors is involved will keep my door closed to these clowns.  We had allowed one of the representatives of Council of Mayors into our conference to elaborate on benefits. He could not adequately elaborate on the benefit of what he was offering or define his role. Beware! I feel he was probing. Very strange.

Received a call from Chris People who said that he was from Terry Schuler's office at Partner of America saying that it was very important that I call my boss at home when I told him my boss was off today. He wanted to let him know that he would be in our area tomorrow. When I asked him if my boss would know who he was he said yes. Glad I looked this number up first.

I checked into this.  It seems that the US Conference of Mayors initiated the Partner America Program.  You can look it up on www.usmayors.org

My boss just got a call from this number. "MO CARTER"

wanting to speak with my boss about "direct growth/boost of economy" for small businesses in our town".  He wanted to meet with my boss because "he was in town this week and wanted to get his view on the economy" - I didn't call back.  Thanks for posting this info!

The scammers at this number are now spamming this site in a stupid attempt to hide the complaints against their FILTHY SPAM operation.

My boss just got a call from this number.  She said her Name wa Nicole Wallace with NO company.

Mr C***s called about Ecomic recoery act in Illinois.  he called last month and said he was from Iowa and our file had ben forwarded to his desk, etc....

Can't somebody take these people and put them out of our misery???

Got a call saying this was someone from the Iowa Commerce Commission. Contact was Ira Price.
I did not call back figured it to be a scam.

I got a call from this number - claimed to be Brandon with the SBAT of Pennsylvania - though his mumble made it difficult to understand. He left a number and when I called back they answered "Partner America"

I just got my 50th call from this number 877-375-5916 ext. 111 (Charles Koss) saying he was with the US Conference of Mayors needed our help. I think it's sketchy!! They call everyday to my work at least 2 times a day with different names.

Just got a message from Joe Koons as well.  Claimed to be from Michigan Economic Recovery and was just reviewing my file and wanted me to call back.  Seems, as my kids say, sketchy at best.
