This number called and left a voice mail message to call them about something, couldn't really understand the person sounded East Indian.  The person gave no information about what they wanted.

I got a similiar call, contacted MultiPlan via email and got this response from them......

"Good Morning, Thank you for contacting Multiplan/PHCS.  Multiplan/PHCS has partnered with a company by the name of Aegis to help us verify that the information we currently have on file for our providers is up to date and accurate.  Aegis makes outbound calls to providers to confirm that their addresses and Tax ID Numbers we have in our database are correct. This is not a scam and it is safe to give your information to Aegis. If you have any questions, please contact service via email or at 800-546-3887 option 3.  "

Indian Woman, Multiplan, ref number, asked for tx id, checking for patient plan etc.  NOw checking this on line. May still be legit. Got calls for two months from a number that had bad references on the net, turned out to be Toyota's collection agency - legit. Despite many people saying it was a scam etc. So will check Aegis now.  Oh yes - also a health care provider.

Looks like this thing is still going.  I am in healthcare as well and our office is getting messages from an Indian sounding woman with the same deal.  Give her our fax number of billing department, but the number she gives was definitely overseas.  So obnoxious!

Got a call from this number asking for my fax number to send me some information about a patient whose name was not clear. Had indian accent and left a reference number but when I called back I was transferred to pricing department to leave my infromation and number!!

Just adding my "me too" so others will more likely find this site before giving the caller any information.  I too am in healthcare, got several vmail messages from a guy at "Multiplan" with a thick Indian-sounding accent, using a reference number, wanting the "ID number" for my "patient billing" office. Yeesh!

I own a medical practice and I have received voice mail messages on my unpublished CELL phone from this number several times. (I never answer calls from numbers I don't recognize.)  This is a scam.  Do not give them any information.  Their caller ID number is always jiberish and they always leave a long hard-to-understand message with a "reference" number you are supposed to use when calling back with information about your billing department. (??)  Right.

I just received a call from this number, and let it go to voicemail.  A woman named Jenny with a thick Indian identifying herself as "from Mulitplan" accent asked me to call with my name and the tax number of my billing department.  She spoke so fast, I didn't get all of the message, but there was more information she was asking for.  She left an 877 callback number.  I am also in the healthcare field.  Interesting.

Our office gets calls from this number and some man leaves a message that is very difficult to understand and he talks very fast rattling off numbers and things that don't make any sense. It sounds like he is from India because of his accent.  Sometimes it makes "screeching" sounds and they ask for information regarding an order number that we know nothing about.  It seems as if whoever is calling from this number is trying to gain information of some type and not for legitimate purposes.  My guess is they are calling through an internet connection of poor quality and they never say what if any company they are from.  Our system screens out their calls as a "nuisance call" and it never gets answered but goes to voice mail where they sometimes will leave an unintelligible message asking for someone to call him back at their "877" number.  I would definitely not give them any information or even let them in the door.  So, from us they get nothing except they get to waste their time, energy and resources.

received telephone call yesterday and today.  Yesterday I ignored, as wanted to send me 'information' via fax and sounded like I was to place an overseas call and supply my fax number.  With another call today I investigated on google and found your sight.  Is this guy trying to get money?  He had a thick Indian accent. I didn't check the caller I.D.

Very broken accent, probably India or he was talking with sand in his mouth.  Gave a reference number and the 877 number to call in rerference to patient information.  Only got a recording on call back.  Definitely fraud.

Just received same message. Male with a very thick Indian (I think) accent. I work in health care, so really uncool.

got a call from this number stating a reference number and my immediate input needed, regarding something with patients. not cool.
