If you paid via credit card or bank card. call the bank and let them work on it. we did and we got our money back. Good luck, and they told us the same garbage as they told you. :(

These people called my parents yesterday stating that I would be arrested on Monday if I didn't pay $8000.  Being a single father with a career that would also be severely affected by this, they paid a portion yesterday.  I'm just hoping we can recover it all.  They used The Crawford and Doyle Law Firm as the name.  My father got suspicious when reading over the paperwork again and realized not only was it not in proper legal terminiology, it was not even in proper English!  I sure hope these people are stopped and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law!!

they are also useing 1-855-811-5318 the machine is a ficticious electronic answering machine. if its a law firm it would say so on the machine.
also the email we got was from such and such on a GMAIL acct.

I am so sorry i saw this to late.  all of the abouve happened to us to. but listed under crawford n doyle law.  same address as this mediater but the town and zip was dif. i did reverse zip. phone and address and found this page. I have to get a REAL lawyer now cause they scammed 7 grand out of us.  this was an old old dept that has been discarged. they didnt wanna hear it.

I have had the same thing happen to me. they called my mom an grandma. they refused any proper documents. I have filed with Georgia consumer  about them

When you call them back- they don't answer by telling you the name of the buisiness.  They just say "good afternoon- how can I help you."  They told me I had to work with them because I was facing felony charges.  I called them back and they told me they were on the other line with the prosecuting attorney.  The more I think about it- the more outrageous it is.  Being transferred to the "head lawyer."  the scary thing is the amout of personal info they had- fortunately it is old info- but where are they getting it???

Yes, I had the exact same thing from Cartwright Attorney's office except I told them I paid off this bill 6 years ago and had proof, but he said it was not and I was going to lose my state nursing license. So I went through my paperwork, called and checked on my license, and decided it was a fraud. So I got on my caller ID, called the number and a guy answered, didnt say who he worked for, so I asked and he would not tell me. So I said I would just call the police and give them this number. He asked who I was and then said oh yes, and transfered me to a "attorney" which was very rude and just plain mean, but she said she was my attorney and I couldnt have the offical paperwork sent to my own attorney unless I was in front of a judge first, but she was my mediator trying to keep me from going to court. WOW........

Wife had the same call verbatim.

Two family members and myself received  phone calls yesterday from this "Law Firm". They also stated that I owed money on a debt paid in full 3 years ago. They also claimed that my State Professional License would be revoked, criminal charges filed against me, assets seized and so forth. The scary thing is the amount of personal information that they had about me. The "Attorney" I spoke with last night, Catherine ("just call me Cathy"), said she was a mediation lawyer assigned to my case and she was working pro-bono, HA!! When I asked for their personal information she would not give it to me. I also asked that she fax these alleged charges and papers to my Attorney, her mailing address, etc and she refused. I have lost a day of work so I could cover all my bases to prove I am innocent! This stuff is crazy, it has to stop!!

Message was left on my parent machine that criminal charges was being brought up agains me and my license could be revoked immediatley. The left a number and a case number. I return the call after hours and the name of the law firm was Cartwright law firm.

Message left on phone of elderly woman that she was writing bad checks and to call immediately to stop legal action
