This number called me asked for me personally then went into this spill about if I would give my bank Info they could set me up for payments an some special program I was going to be locked into by paying a set amount for the next 9 months I wouldn't give bank info so she wants me to get a prepaid debit card  immidetly an call her back with that info sounded more like a skam than anything how do I know she is who she said she is Nina benyard ext 497 ?????

I just got a call from these people asking for my daughter by name.  When I said she didn't live with me and that she was out of the country, this guy knew what city and country she was in.  Scary!  He said his name was Al Walker from West Asset Management (I had to pry the company name out of him, he was only going to give me his name) and that I should have my daughter call him.  Where do they get their information?  My daughter hasn't lived with me for 9 years and how would he know where she is?!

My husband got a call from 877-416-0007 while I was out. Someone named Rob Farley @ x 469. He would only tell my husband it was a "business matter" - wtf! Number does NOT come up on caller ID (the guy calling gave the above number to call him back) - in fact it disables my caller ID log! Got a similar call few weeks ago and some woman was asking me my name, birthdate and SS# - I refused to tell her anything! Needless to say, I will NOT be calling him back!

Ok, soi decided to stop my loans in 2001 when i found out they were a trap for unsuspecting college freshmen. Anyway, i got lucky(i suppose) my total in Stdent Loans were 4250 at that time. ok, so i decided to save up for college and just work full time for the state. .k. so fast forward to 2004.. i was in what DOE calls "rehabiltation Program to bring account from default. so i did that for a year . Then again in 2007 -2008
and 2008-2009.  Each time with a different company? so all sudden they stop drafting my account.? so i thought i was done with the program. Then i geta call from a bubbly young lady telling me some rich guy in Arkansas (she actually used that term) she mentioned his name once during the conversation,but I forgot it. Basically she said," he died and left his trust to SFLGA and i qualified to be in the "program" she tells me ok i am sending you papers to authorize us to draft your account monthly so that you are no longer in default. o...kay.. i thought thats what i was doing in 2004,2007-2009? when i recieved the paper work i signed and mailed them to their office. okay, waiting...no draft from my bank account? so she dupped me into thinking the papers were for bank draft authorization,but they really were CONSOLIDATION PAPER WORK!!!!when i got a call from west asset in 2011 it took me forever to find out WHAT WAS HAPPENING! THEY WELL ONE LADY) was like "you reconsolidated your loan it hasn't been paid since 2008. I was like what? i said what about all those payments i made in 2004,2007-2009? she said we dont show ANY PAYMENTS on this loan. i almost began to cry LUCKILY I SAVED ALL MY RECIPTS FROM EACH COMPANY THAT SERVICED my loan during the time  i was repaying. So she said, Do you want me to send you where you signed the form?" i said , "yes, please. She mentioned i did it online. i know that wasnt true because i am paranoid about my personal info online. She turned it around and said um no i think it was mailed" All this afteri told her the personal info paranoia. so she sent me the paper work and there were a few extra sheets . My guess is they added in the Consolidation first page after i signed then sent me those papers. theyt had to, i would have never consented to that! so when i ask for my copy they stuck the consolidation paers in front and just used the last page with my "authrization for bak draft" signature and mailed that as proof" i consented to reconsolidation . i promise thise paers were not in there yjhe first tome when i signed. it was just @ papers for my autho for bank draft, do i need to deal with them? ho=w can i be redirrected back to DOE?

West Asset managment is spoofing phone numbers to make the false impression that it is a legitimate call. Looks like the $2.5 million fine that they were hit with in 2011 by the FTC hasn't taught them any lessons. This trash collection agence should soon be out of business as they continue to break the law....

Got a call on my cell phone from a different number (that showed up on a reverse lookup as a TAVERN in Denver!!!!), and the voicemail they left said they were West Asset Management and that I should call them back at this number (877-416-0007). It was hard to understand the message, but they did use my name and said they were a collection agency. I didn't call back.

I reported them to the Nebraska AG's office today. Asked that they be kept away from telephones without adult supervision.

OMG how insane is that. Is there nothing debt collectors won't say to try to manipulate someone into calling them back. My GOD!!!! I would have been so pissed.

Got a call from these people and when I answered they said nothing. When I called them back some woman answered and when I told her what happened she asked me who called me and I told her I did not know who called me because the person did not say anything. I just got this number so I have been getting alot of wrong number calls from debt collectors looking for someone I do not know so I have been answering them so I can get my number removed. They say they are West Asset Management. I just think it is unprofessional to say nothing when someone answers the phone.

Talked to Tiwana from this number, they are a debt collector for student loans.

I had a message on my answering machine from these people saying it was from a doctor. The man used my daughter's name & mentioned something about her needing a blood transfusion. They asked me to call as soon as possible. The message wasn't very clear, but that was most of what the message contained. I called my daughter, who told me she was fine, hadn't been injured or in an accident, & didn't need a blood transfusion. My daughter & I decided that they'd call back if it was an important call from a doctor trying to get in touch with her. I didn't return the call & Googled the phone # to see if it was legit, which it isn't.

When I worked at 'NamesAtCost.com' we often got calls from people who claimed we called them from the 1-877-416-0007, which was not true our number was the 888 version. These people were usually confused about which number called and just dialed 888 instead of 877 because it is easier to remember.
Sometimes people would call up and just start giving me personal information, social security number, etc
I would explain that NamesAtCost.com is a domain registrar and not a collections company. That our number was the 888 version of the number above and they should try back at 877. I am confident that some sort of real debt collection company has the 877 number. From volumes of people that wanted to payback student loans alone it must be a real debt collection co? right? on the other hand scammers can display any NAME and NUMBER they wish on your phone's display / caller ID with current technology quite easily, so who is who in azuza's zoo? I

They called my place of employment and would not tell what it was about.  Message was taken and was not called back.  I am waiting to see if they call back again.  How do I get them to stop calling?

Left a message for my husband, Asking to call Mrs. Spencer by 5 pm.  Said it was a "time sensitive" matter.  Said use extension 456.  Used shortened form of my husband's name, not anything he would use in business.  He has very good credit, so shouldn't be a collection call.  It had to be scammers so we didn't call back.

They called asking for who I can only presume is me but butchered my name so badlly that I simply took the message. The caller said her name was Shannon Reed but wouldn't give info other than that it is a "business call" and to call back.

Yea they have called and left messages on my cell for the same exact sharon davis and the same number. I haven't called them back but looked them up in google and found this posting. Sounds like a scam to me.

They called me asking for my mother. They refused to tell me why they were calling and I figured it was an advertisement thing. When I asked how they found my number the woman said she found it through and online search. Weird. She was kind of rude though.

ALTHOUGH THE NUMBER CAME UP ON CALLER ID UNKNOWN NAME, UNKNOWN NUMBER, I GOT THE NUMBER OFF OF ANSWERING MACHINE TO CALL THEM BACK TO LET THEM KNOW THEY HAD THE WRONG NUMBER..

got a call the other day for someone who don't live here and we don't even know..although they had the same last name as us...i called them back to let them know they had the wrong phone number & no one by that name lives here...they said they would remove our number from their records..

These people call constantly for people who don't live here.
