Got a call, said "Fraudster" on the caller ID.  Decided to just see what they could say, so answered it.  Lady on other end, accented English, said she was calling for the "Cape Breton Hospital Health", which is not the correct name of that place.  I told her to stop talking, as it said Fraudster on my phone ID.  She said "what do you mean", sounding most sincere. and I repeated that she was a fake and told her I do not talk to Fraudsters and was hanging up.  And, I did.

Mystique is not a legit charity. It is a for profit company,working on behalf of charities. The charity that they are working for now is the Law Enforcement Torch Run for the Special Olympics. While this may well be a good charity, it does not seem to be listed on the CRA site of registered charities. As such, Mystique is in violation of the Do Not Call Registry if they call you and you listed yourself on the registry. File complaints, and this will stop.

I called this number yesterday and received a recording.  He thanked me for calling the campaign office and was promoting the NHL Alumni Tour.  He promoted an event that took place on February 7th of this year at J.D. McArthur Arena (located in Owen Sound).  Well now it's February 19th and this event is still being promoted!!

Called the doctor's office I work in and asked for the owner.  When I identified that we are a doctor's office - he hung up.  How rude!

I did *69 and called the number back.  Got a recording for a magic show at Mohawk College March 15.  I left a message that I did not think it professional to hang up on people.

I recieved a call from the Police Retirees of Ontario.  He once again indicated that I had donated in the past, which I actually have.  This year is not a good time for me to dontate and I let him know that and that I was sorry.  He then accused me "Don't you care about abused children??".  I said "Of course I do, but I can't donate right now".  He then hung up.

Anyway, I will NEVER donate to them EVER again.

TCO being the name that displays on my bell phone with this number.  Got literature of flyer for rodeo, to take disabled children to, in early April.
Agreed to leave cheque under mat at front door and "so called driver"  would be there to pick up but forgot and "so called driver" had no vehicle visible by wife and no credentials when he asked about missing cheque not under mat.
Got another call from this number again and this man knew nothing of the prior calls or pick up agreements but just wanted payments by CC# or by cheque and receipt would then be issued.
Strange that charity running this area for money would not know that major street of CAMPEAU in Kanata was not spelled "CAMPO"

What is a "forged" caller ID?

If you received a telephone call with a (forged) Caller ID of (877) 431-0685 DO NOT ANSWER IT.  The person calling you is a PROFESSIONAL FRAUD ARTIST AND NOT A REGISTERED CHARITY.

This number calls repeatedly. Often 2-3 times a day. We have a rule at the house that we don not answer this one. I have asked that they not call me anymore, but that does not work. They are looking for money for some charity game. We are not interested. Given that this number is apparently associated with the Police retirees, I am surprised that the police are not more motivated to help eliminate this scam. I think it would be embarassing for them.

No message left.  I don't usually answer these calls, but they keep calling.

Saw this number last nite-Idon't usually answer 866or 877 numbers but no message left on answering machine,so I called number and got a canned message--you have reached the campaign office.At that point I hung up.Do the cops know their name is being used by these guys?A cuople of years ago I tried to get some get some info from phonebusters but never got a responce from them.

Caller keeps calling back and not saying anything. I called the line and got an answering machine for some sort of NHL thingy. I left a rude message telling them to stop calling or I would phone the police.

I let my answering machine pick up so I could screen my call and they left the following message:

If it is supposedly a valid charity calling, I don't believe this would be an acceptable message to leave on somebody's answering machine.
