Two calls on my cell phone on Easter Sunday...Really?

These jerks never leave a message and I never pick up the phone for them.    If they're legitimate, why won't they leave a voicemail?  Hit *60 to block them and follow the prompts.

Got night calling again, no doubt to block them again!

b*****ds called me at 8pm last nite Sun 3/30/14.  caller id said "Toll Free Call".....I did not answer (duh), they did not lv msg.

I pretty much recieved the same call just now, four years after this was posted.  Same accent.  I have a hard time believing it was "Nielsen Rating Company"   I politely declined the call.  He became much more pushy, but I didn't give an inch.  I don't believe legitimate companies would allow their callers to be so pushy and rude.  Probably had I answered his questions, it would have eventually become a call where they were trying to sell me something.

OK.  This is the fourth time in as many days.  Tonight it was 8:30 when they called and left no message.  I also got a call from 1234567890.  What in the blue blades is going on? Can we not have a phone in our homes any more?

We get these calls all hours of the day and night, including weekends!!   Sunday afternoon they called several times,  and of course there is never a message.  We are on the do not call list, but  why bother,  these idiots have nothing better to do than call all day and night.   My wife works in a law firm,  so we have the upper hand in this harassment.  We will seek legal action and have gotten everything we need in order to do so.

I just hope you don't get me on one of my bad. Days.

This was a questionnaire about movies. Weird thing was he asked to speak to a child??$$!

I just got a call but my CallerID said toll free call so I didn't bother pick up.

lol, The FFCC won't do anything. Hilarious. They can't threat your life and nothing will be done.

There is a number on there that you can call to verify if it was really them.  1-800-237-8611  I talked with an employee, who said his name was Andrew Employee# 0F3.  I politely told them to take my phone number off.  The new rules states that in order for them to robocall you they have to have written consent.  No longer just because they have EBR.  One of their Neilson family companies is Rewardtv.  Now I know how they got me number.  

They do require you to send a letter to them stating you do not want them or any of their affiliates calling your number anymore.
You do have to have their address.  Which most of these jerks will not give you.  They will just hang up on you.  So that said I take numbers of telemarketers and and forward their calls to one of the other telemarketers, sometimes one other their others numbers they call with.  I make them call themselves and so they waste their own time.

This #  came up as Neilson Ratings on my caller ID.  The thought of becoming a Neilson family sounds intriguing, so I answered.  The man on the other end of the line said he was conducting a survey on movies and asked if he could speak to someone else in my household.  I thought that was a very odd question given I'm one of the two adults in the house so I questioned him by asking for him to again explain what he was calling for. He repeated himself....it was for a movie survey and he said he could talk to anyone else in my house. Again, I was bewildered that he didn't want to talk to me so I asked him "so you want to talk to anyone in my house EXCEPT me" and he said yes, anyone else would do.  Okay...I'm an adult (and I sound like one on the phone)....does that mean he wanted to talk to one of my minor kids?  Or  was that his way of saying he wanted to the opinion of a man, not a woman.  VERY VERY ODD !  So I pulled the phone away from my ear, starred down at it and said "you're weird" and hung up.

Called and no one would answer.  Am on the no call list.

I got a call from this number on January 12th around 6:40 PM.  The caller name just reads 800 Service.  They did not leave a voice mail.

Received the same call as the others about a movie survey. Just answered all the questions with no/none and hung up.

Fraudsters. I did not answer their questions, so they immediately signed me up to 7148808080 that called me EVERY 5 minutes.

The caller from this number said they were doing some kind of movie survey, which I delcined.

Called, left no message.

They called 4 PM on a Sunday.  I didn't recognize the number and caller ID just said "Toll Free Call" so I let it go to the answering machine.  They didn't leave a message, so I'm blocking them.

Sometimes I toy with the thought of picking up and saying "Detective Delaney, Fraud Division" .. just to see what happens.

It won't do any good. These are ID thieves looking for any scrap of info they can get from you. You were smart to not give your name, but remember, they have probably logged your caller ID which may contain your name. When requesting your number be removed from their system and never called again by their organization, many of these scammers will ask you questions such as "can I get your name?" The only thing they need to know is that they have been asked not to call your number and further calls from them will be considered criminal trespass. The best solution I've found is to use a call blocking system. It has saved me many hours of dealing with these criminals. My system kills blocked numbers and stops my phone from ringing, so until I look at the log, I don't even know they called. It's quite refreshing to have a robot silently kill these calls. The reason I'm on this web site is that I go through my logged blocked calls now and then and see if I can contact the organization . If I can, they are probably a bit more legitimate, so I call them and request that they never call my number again. In this case (call from 877-437-9481), it is very uncertain as to who owns the number, so I simply consider them to be identity thieves.

Missed two calls from 877-437-9481, one around 4pm and the other around 6pm. Caller ID showed: "TOLL FREE CALL". No messages left either time.
