Recieved a call from a private number and the women stated her name was Kim Young and she calling from a private investiagator office. And that she had a file baring my social security number and name the person asked to take a message and ask for there phone number 866.824.9885. These guys think that they are smart because they call every 3months from private numbers or unknown numbers trying to get information and end up with none. I file complaint with the bureau of complaint and the government because alot of times people from government agencies sale your information and gain money. My phone number is listed under no call list.

First I was contacted by a private number and asked if I wanted to be served at home or work. For what? The caller said that the documents were sealed and told me to call 1-877-449-0153. I called immediately and talked to Mr. Frank Milazzo who said he was a mediator hired by Goldstein & Weinberg in Houston, TX to settle the outstanding debt on behalf of EZ Corp. When I asked where the Goldstein & Weinberg office was located Frank paused and said Houston. The court docket number Frank gave me is actually a MLS number for a realtor. He told me that he was trying to avoid seeing me charged with theft of services. Mr. Frank MiIazzo even gave me a court docket number even though the paper have not been filed with the courts. That seems odd to me how you are able to pull a number out of thin air without entering the court house!!! I have not received anything in writing concerning this matter.I have googled all of the information that I was given and all I have seen so far is RED FLAGS!!! BEWARE... I have been scammed before and now I am extra cautious when believing debt collectors over the phone.

They are a scam no judge is going to issue a warrant for anyones arrest because of a payday loan, especially before they even take you to small claims court. do not send them money, This is what you can do, Tell them you want all the documents dealing with the issue, they refused for me and said they can only fax or email,  this is a big red flag right there, if they say the same to you tell them to go to hell.

no real bussiness is going to hang up on you when they confronted on things, and by law they need to give you something in writing and you time to reply back before they can pursue anything.

He demanded I contact 877-449-0153 to put a stop order or I would be visited at work or home between 11am and 5pm and that I must make myself available and show two forms of government issued ID, he also left the same message with my manager at work. This people are really stupid by attempting to impersonate law enforcement or a county official. First of all law enforcement will not arrest you if you have an outstanding debt. Second, usually a constable will serve you with papers if you're being sued and will only ask you to sign that you received the court documents. They won't ask for two forms of ID and a witness. A Constable is  only doing his job and has nothing to gain if you pay the debt or not. They do not attempt to intimidate you and will not call you from a restricted number but will leave you a number to call back if they miss you. Also I googled Bexar County Division 1 Carriers and it doesn't exist. This is a country of due process under the law, don't be fooled by collectors in disguise. The caller didn't advise me what I was being called about or who the complaintant was.

Do not be caught off guard when you receive a call from a debt collector impersonating law enforce ment. you are entitled to a free copy of your credit report once a year, get your report online. you can even dispute any incorrect information on your report, online. Become familiar with the laws in your state concerning debt collectors, WHAT THEY CAN AND CANNOT DO, and the statue of limitations. Check you city and county website for online public records concerning you. Be informed.

These ignorant f****rs took me to court for a dumb a** pay day loan I forgot about. I tried to call the place to pay it and they refered me to these a** holes. Its a small a** loan that they make you pay 4x its worth. F*** GOLDSTEIN WEINBURG they never gave me a f****ng chance to take care of the 800$

I recently  received a call from them and decided to come and google the number. I do have a pay day loan out there that I never paid, this must be it. a man calling him self a process server came to my mom house asking for me, fool didnt know I dont live there. I'ma call these ppl now and be back wit my results.

I received a call from a Private number and they left a message saying that a process server was coming to my house between 11a - 5p the next day and they gave me a number to call. When i called the number they told me i took out a payday loan in 2008 when i didn't.  I have encountered these types of people before and they are relentless in trying to get your money!!! Don't believe anything they tell you. The police will not come and arrest you if you don't pay them!! They are Scammers!!!! Goldstein and Weinberg are not acccredited by the BBB!!

I Received a call today from investigator Brown implying that I will be getting a visit tomorrow at my job or home, in between 11AM and 5PM to be served???..and that I would have to provide two forms of ID..Seriously?? has anyone actually gotten a visit from these people?? got a voicemail from this number claiming they were from a courier from the district court and that I would be served at either my place of residence or place of employment tomorrow.  For me to call the claimant and ask them to place a "stop order".  Called the number that I was given in the voicemail and it was to a Goldberg and_______Associates.  Said I had the wrong number and hung up.  Immediately got a call from an 'unknown number'
I guess I will see if I will get served tomorrow

I called them back just now and the guy asked for my name and phone number. He then told me they are looking for a Tammy. Told him knowone by that name is here and he said he would take my name off the list and sorry for call. We will see if they do it or not.

I got a call from a Mr. Arnold at ext. 1011 he seemed very sincere and emailed me proof of the payday loan I owed from Ace and offered me a good settlement. Unfortuantely I told Mr. Arnold I cant pay till I get my taxes he said no problem. I gave my debit info AFTER i received his email abd verified that I did owe this.

They sound legit and I do owe this bill

they said they were calling on behalf of kaufman county courier services.  Kaufman county does not have a courier service.

Usually means they are a scam and do not have any proof of debt.  The rely on the ignorance of the people they are contacting - those who will pay them to avoid a non--existent court case.

It is a scam.  Unless you KNOW you owe someone money, then don't even answer the phone if they call back.  Also, note the links down the right side of this website, especially the ones about the pay day loan scams.  BTW:  process servers don't call first...they don't want you to run, so anyone calling to tell you they are going to serve you with papers is a fake, and should they also tell you you're gonna be arrested, be aware that even if you DO owe money, the cops don't arrest you.  http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/credit/cre18.shtm will let you know what they can and can't do, and anyone who doesn't follow the law, well, you can sue THEM.

Im In Los Angeles County and a process server came tomy house at 8 am and was pissed that he woke up my elderly mother. Luckily I was at work and the process server gave my mother the phone number for Goldstein & Weinberg & Associates I called this ph# 877-449-0153 and spoke to a Adam Clabeaux who contacted the county clerk office in Los Angeles and their client Intergrity Management Group, he sent me out a email regarding my pay day loan account that I knew I owed from 2008 and all of it was legitimate. Mr. Claubeax was courteous enough to allow me a payment plan since I am unemployed. I will NEVER EVER take out a payday loan again!!!!!!!!!!!

I called the Offices of Goldstein & Weinberg after I was served by Harris County for a pay day loan I took out 3 years ago. I spoke to a Mr. Arnold at ext. 1011 he helped me and I didnt have to go to court I settled with them and gotmy paid in full letter.... This company does not play games.... Im glad I didnt have to go to court..... My job at NASA would have been in jeopardy..... Thank you Mr. Arnold

This number called and told my little brother that my mom was going to go to jail in the next 2 hours if she didn't call them.  The Mr. Rice handling this case then proceeded to tell him all the personal information on the case.  When he was confronted with this he continuously hung up on me when I would ask him what was going on saying that I was being rude while he was yelling at me.  Then he told me that they weren't going to settle my mother?s case and she was going to have to go to court.  If this is a legitimate business they are a bunch of bullies.  I wish I could report Mr. Rice to someone because when I asked to talk to his supervisor he was suddenly out of the office.
