Yes it was suddenlink calling to see if scheduled maintenance had shown up on time. Actually maintenance was here and worked for about 3 more hours trying to solve problem. We'll see.
But I agree. Since Suddenlink is legitimate, why hide behind the caller ID of Toll Free Number. I don't answer those.... too many scams use the same tactic.
Had I not been in the garage when the phone rang,( I don't have a caller ID phone there) I answered (to a damn recording). Had I been at another phone, I would have seen the number and ignored it.
Why do legitimate business choose to hide their identity.

I got a call from this # and ignored it the first day (it called 4 times in a row) because I didn't recognize it.
Come to find out it was SuddenLink try to confirm and appointment to set up my cable. Didn't realize it was them until the next day when I had to have them come back to fix something and still not recognizing the # answered it this time and then checked back on my phone only to discover it was the same # that called the day before. LOL
When the guy did come to set it up the yesterday he did mention they could get hold of me to confirm the when he'd be here! Lol

If this number is SudenLink, then their company sucks. If the coompany is relly ligemate and doing good business then they should have no problem giving a proper identification when they call rather than hiding behind an unknown number. They could leave a nice voice mail and a return phone number that would be answered in a timely fasion.

Thank yo for the info about it being Suddenlink. I just upgraded my service to them and when they called the Caller ID said unknown so I didn't answer lol. then I tried the tv call ID and it gave me the number. I like that :)
