I'm getting 2 calls a day from this number not sure if it still is 1 and 1 as they never leave messages.

08774612631 has rung over 20 times - 10 in one day - from 26 June to 5 July 2013 - silent calls but we woinder if it is 1&1 - we have 1&1 domain but don't owe money which others have reported - involved POLICE and FRAUD as we think it is a scam to get you to call the number back - in UK this is paid for call NOT TOLL FREE - stressful as we have to wait to screen call before answering now and have elderly relatives who are in and out of hospital so worry it is them trying to call from premium hospital phone!! Spent a lot of time registering with silent call barring company but as it is outside UK won't work. Our phone co won't barr the call. IT IS CRIMINAL AND A NUISANCE

This number calls me up to 6 times per day. I am subscribed to 1and1 and if this is really 1and1 im going to cancel.

I receive 3/4 calls per day from this number and have only just found out that its part of 1&1

Hate'em, we bought service from them but just can't understand WHY they would call 10-15 times in a day!!! Hate'em.

I receive about 5 calls from them a day and they won't stop! I never pick up. I've never even heard of them until I called back the number and it said their name. searched and found this page. I use maiahost for hosting my site, and I have NEVER heard from them. they're great! I don't even know where these people got my number from! I just blocked it. hopefully I never have to hear from them again.

Getting harassing calls from this number

Well, I swore I wouldn't share this...but....After relentless calls from many different
telemarketers, I came up with a plan.  When they call, I answer as if I am a recording :
"The number you have reached, xxx-xxx-xxxx, has been disconnected , or is
no longer in service".  Or, " The number you have.....has been changed.  The new
number is private listing."

One company called back FOUR times in a row.  I played the "recording" each time.
I started this last week, and the calls are definitely slowing down!

Been calling my house every day for the better part of 3 weeks, at least 3 times per day.  ID shows up as Company Voice.  First time I answered no one on the other end of phone, after a few seconds went dead.  I have never answered again, but am seriously getting tired of this number! 877 461 2631

I'm a UK 1 & 1 customer and started getting calls from this US number on my mobile at the start of January and was receiving them just about daily during weekdays. I've ignored each call since I don't know anyone in the US. The calls eased off in February, but now they've just started trying contacting me again. Got as many as 6 calls in one afternoon (seems they call between 12 and 5pm UK time), and I'm absolutely fed up with them. Had to assign the number to a silent ringtone as some way of eliminating the interruptions. Disgraceful behaviour.

15 calls yesterday, 20 calls today. I've gone into my 1&1 settings and changed my phone number to a mobile I no longer use in the hope that they stop using my correct number.

This number has called my phone 9 times in the past two days, they never leave a message.  I never answer phone calls I'm not expecting. I am a 1 and 1 customer and find that they own the number very troubling.

Just got a "heavy breather and hang-up" call from this number (according to caller ID). I'm surprised to read here that this is a 1&1 number. In this case, my guess is that the caller might have some respiratory issues because past phone contacts with 1&1 (tech and billing) have consistently been very good. Stressed out telemarketer maybe?
Been a 1&1 customer with up to two websites for many years and have never been brow-beaten with tel marketing. Uptime has been superb even on budget packages.
What stinks, imho, is their insistence on short, quarterly billing cycles on hosting with their fancy pdf invoices. I'd much rather pay a year or two in advance and be done with it. Domain transfers can be "interesting" too.
My guess is that 1&1's old, huge and staunch German HQ is a bit of a stressing lead anchor on US operations.

Had the same call type. I told them I wouldn't agree to anything with automatic payment taken at the end of free trial. I was surprised to see that it was an international call from a US domestic number.

The one time i did catch them when they called they wanted to know if i was happy with the service.  And they wanted me to try one of there new plans for free....by free i mean one month free and if you dont unsubscribe before the end they charge you for it.

I'm receiving a call from this number 2 or 3 times a week, they do not leave a msg. I dont answer because I do not recognize the number.

They have been calling for the last week-no messages, just the call at different times- VERY annoying!!!

I am a 1 & 1 customer, and from your comments, it sounds like they might just be trying to sell me some of their other services.

I ordered some domains through them over a year ago.. I didn't answer the call, they can bite me.  I'll never buy another 1and1 service after going through the ringer with the domains.  I'm half afraid to transfer them for fear that they'll somehow eff it up.  eff em.  1and1 is the worst company ever for support, even worse than Yahoo.  Much worse.  No respect for their customers at all.  This is a reputation that will be extremely difficult to rectify.

Calls leaving no answer

Simple solution.

If you are a 1and1 customer and don't want calls from them, go into your 1and1 customer profile and change your phone number to some non-existent number like 999 999 9999.

hmmmm, I just got a call from this number and decided to research it.  I am a 1and1 customer and have been relatively happy with the service, except for the annoyingly difficult task of getting any answers via email.  A different person answers every time; as if calls are being routed to an out-sourcing company.  Recently, I got charged wrongly for one of my domains.  It took several emails back and forth to get a credit and I still have no idea what happened and why there was a domain on my account that I had never ordered.  If the credit does not appear in my paypal account in a timely manner, I'll be considering moving my domains as well although that's such a hastle that I'd rather not have to do that.  The number called was this one, 877-461-2631.  As far as I know, that's the first time I've gotten a call like that from them.  I didn't answer the call and no voice mail was left.
