PHONE NUMBERS CAN BE CLONED AND AUTO MESSAGES RECORDED. CALL BACK ON THE NUMBER YOU TRUST BEFORE GIVING THEM ANY INFORMATION.
Caller (automatic message) claimed to be express scripts/medco said our recent order could not be processed as the credit information was refused. They wanted new credit information. They did not get it. Probably is express scripts but I will call them to be sure.

Name appears as Unavailable in caller id. It is Express Scripts/Medco calling about rx status. According to the customer rep I spoke to, Express Scripts customer service center is located in Manila, Philippines.

PS I just called the number I reported (1-877-474-1126) and WAS MEDCO. All I can think of is that I must have mis-dialed it. Sorry to confuse anyone.

This was left as a number to call Medco but IT WAS NOT MEDCO. BEWARE! Instead I got an offer for a "free" $100 gift card that could be used at any store like WalMart, etc. He asked for my name, then how to spell it. I noticed a crackly connection and he said "Good evening" when it was morning here. Had a foreign accent. He asked for my mailing address. Verified my phone #. Asked if I had another phone #. Asked if I had an email address. Then THE tip-off: I only had to pay a dollar to get the gift card and what credit card # did I want to use. I said I believe I reached the wrong #. He said, no, no, no I'd get "the directory" as soon as I got I my gift card confirmation # but just had to pay the handling fee. I said I am not giving you a credit card # and hung up. Got the REAL Medco # 201-891-3302. They didn't know anything about the first number I called. I want to report this to the proper authorities and will see if I can find out how to.

Medco/Express Scripts. Ordered 3 month supply of meds, they were calling to tell me about my order.

I confirm this number is for Medco / Express Scripts. I reported the issue and the representative told me she was reporting it to have it changed. So glad all of you posted this online so we stay clear of scams

It was Medco/Express Scripts with an automatic voice warning me about payment due in 72 hr.s. Caller ID just said "800 Service". I called the Medco cust. svc. # on the back of my insurance card. They (more automatic voice lady) sent me to the 877-474-1126 number. That one didn't identify itself either, but after endless menus I finally got to a real live human being named Darlene. She was very helpful. It really was Medco/Express Scripts. We got everything straightened out. I also told her to pass on to their IT people (or somebody) that they only show up on caller I.D. as 800 Service, not Medco or Express Script. She said she would try to get that concern to someone who could fix it.

when I call this number back they do not identify themselves and immediately ask for credit card info and birthday. I have a feeling this is NOT medco but a scammer. Do not give them your information!
Lynn 2013-02-10 05:59:58 Unknown
It's Medco and they will call every hour until you answer the call
Rio 2013-02-02 16:35:33 Unknown
Don't know why they don't identify themselves, but, yeah, it's Medco.

When I answered the call, no response was given. I hung up and called back, since I had the phone number on my cell. The automatic voice immediately mentioned some payment required, but did not provide who I had called. It then asked from my birthdate. I hung up. My plan is to call Medco and confirm this is truely their number and complain, if it is.

I got one of these calls at 6:01 PM while I was busy at a church function and did not know what the number was, so I ignored it. The automated voice was asking my voice mail questions that I could not respond to, so I missed what they were trying to ask.
Ellen said "Perhaps they need to reconsider their approach to customer service." I concur. Do not call me at night or at 6:00 PM and don't send a "robot" for me to respond to. I guess I now know I will not be getting my medication on time now. i will take my burliness locally and get it today.
I am forced by my health insurance to use Medco, but I do not mind paying more to someone who can provide better service.

Thanks for the info about Medco. We do us Medco, but have never had a strange phone call like this one. Perhaps they need to reconsider their approach to customer service.
ellen 2012-09-26 14:26:42 Unknown
The message was an automated one, very vague, about some order they couldn't process without more info. And no specific person with whom to talk. I haven't placed any orders in the last 6 months. So I knew the 'message' was invalid. And very annoying.
