These people have called my work, and not only that they have contacted my boss. I'm not dealing with this anymore. They tried this crap last year around the same time. So they are very persistant. They sent me a settlement statement so i could check the address and phone number, and the address comes up as a restraunt in New York. And there's no information with BBB about this company.

Someone from this number has  called me over 70 times last month (Nov)! They called on Thanksgiving DAY!! T hey are scammers, and there's no telling how much money they have from people who gave out Bank and or credit card info . When you ask what USC stands for they wont or can?t say! Imagine how many SENIORS that they have frightened into giving USC money. Here is a possible script: CALL THEM AND SAY THE FOLLOWING: "Hello I need to speak to the fraud department please" I am calling from the Spot and Stop fraud Citizens Coalition "I need to report a stolen customer list. The list includes customer names and phone numbers." "We have identified several of your employees have been using this list to call and harass the customers? We are in the process of collecting information for a Possible Class Action Lawsuit" YOU SHOULD HEAR SILENCE FROM THEM!!!! Lets get together and put a stop to these people! I will be going on other scam buster sites posting this. YOU SHOULD TOO! LETS FIGHT BANK

I get calls from this number and they claim to be a company called AMG.  They tell me this is from a Cash Net loan that was paid over a year ago.  They haven't mailed or emailed me anything, they just give me the same legal begal stuff about serving me at work.

Today they called me at work and I told them I filed a complaint with the Attorney General and the Internet Crime Complaint Center.  Check this notice from FBI

"Mr.  Reed"  called my work cell phone with the same crap: threatening  lawsuits, process servers, and "sealed affidavits". Unfortunately for him I work for County government and I called the Fraud Division and they're handling it now.  Whatever he was calling about has no connection to anything pertaining to me or my husband and I am not letting it go.  I will also file a complaint with Fair Credit and would urge everyone else to do the same.

got a "process server" call...(twice...each call became a little more threatening) didn't answer, let it go to voice mail...each time the caller ID said "private number" or "unavailable"  The man said he had lawsuit against my roommate (but had the wrong last name) and that they would be serving papers on "such-and-such" a date at "such and such" a time...to be available and have proper social security identification to complete the "service".  He gave the telephone number of the "complainant" was 8775052335.  Did some research and found several posts from different websites about the number, or at least the approach.  Even went so far as to look up the name he used and surprise!  There actually IS someone with the name he mentioned - on our street, no less!  Maybe, hopefully, we've saved THAT poor soul from this (these) predator(s).

It was a call to collect a debt. I thought they said AMG and associates but I have not been able to find any law office with that name. I now think it might be AFG but the number does not match. Some of the things they said seem off but some seemed legit and scary. Could it be the same company

rec'd two calls (caller ID was blocked - "unavailable number" and "private number" both times) and this clown left a message (for the right first name, but incorrect last name) that he was a process server and would (first call) be calling back about a lawsuit that had been filed against my roommate.  Second call said for my roommate to be available on that date and time along with the proper social security identification to complete the service.  But this time, he left the number of the "claimant" as 8775052335.  Of course, after some checking, it became painfully obvious (I feel so sorry for those folks who called back and paid money to these thieves) that it was a scam.

Can't they be stopped?
