I get numerous calls from telemarketers. The best result was buying a "Panasonic" phone a while back with "Call Block" features. Works extremely well. The only downside is that I can only "block" 30 numbers at a time. Solution for newer calls, is to drop off the earliest number and enter the new one.

Have had these clowns call me almost everyday for a month...always hang up on me when I answer...decided to have some fun with them as I had a very slow afternoon planned. I called them back, about 50 times, left them completely ridiculous messages...felt good...tho it probably won't make a difference but....who cares at this point

ok. First of. you are acting immature. If this forum happened to talk badly about your business and someone found the number of you or your manager and told everyone to call him, i think you would also be a ashamed. Man up

I own this lovely gift shop on the main street of Penticton, B.C. I have two different telephone lines into this shop. On an average I get two to three telephone calls PER DAY from firms that will not identify themselves and just hang up, or from Call Centers. These calls take me away from my customers, or down off ladders where I am fixing displays etc. I do not ask for, nor do I appreciate in any way these calls and repeatedly ask these companies to take me off their list. Neither of my telephones have call display, and even if they did, I could not allow them to ring and ring disturbing customers in my store. I am fed up with these calls and am now keeping a list of the date the call was made, what number it came in on, the exact time of the call and the calling number. I am then sending a detailed complaint to the correct department of the Canadian Government and I will continue to bother than government department until I get some satisfaction ! Some of the numbers on my list are: 866-695-1846, 888-556-7088, 949-864-2037 - too numerous to mention.
liz 2013-04-12 15:58:07 Unknown
you do NOT have the right to call my number EVERY DAY...as my phone records would show.
I have left messages to be removed- as I have no need for a payment system of any kind...and yo ignore it
you can still be charged with harassment...as the back-up I have compiled will show you calling every day.
If you were professional- and just doing " cold calls"....then- I would be able to get to talk to someone- inform them I have no need of your service...and- my number would be removed.
I have told over 20 business I know to stay clear of you- as you DON'T care about how people feel- nor- do things in a manner that would be considered ethical.

I have had our companies getting reaped calls from this company. Finally in flustration, I was able to get David (who is the CEO) on the phone. (416) 744-3322 Head office number. I explained to him that his company with all the robo calls is disrupting our company.
He told me that he would have this stopped.
Now here is the kicker. I did also get a call from their customer service manager with the return phone number and her local: Candice - local 224 at this number 877-666-0909 which is their listed 800 number from the web.
So now IF someone had signed on with this company and had called their Customer Service Department for assistance.....(I have been on hold for over 2 hours and still no one has answered their line. This has been 3 tries and still no one answers)
SO MY BEST BET IS. BUYER BEWARE!! They are a loser company that only wants you upfront and then your on your own.

Inkas Payments called me today. Beware of this company. "Rebecca" wanted to know my business information regarding my discount fees for credit and debit card purchases charged by my service provider. I told her that I do not share that information with unsolicited callers. She assured me that her company is not a service provider; they just want to "help" merchants. That is a lie. They are service providers, and the call was a come on. Watch your backs

w***e! liar! fraud! I have more respect for crack addicts begging in the street! at least they will look you in the eye!
Why then? 2012-12-06 02:42:55 Unknown
Why then do you have to sign on with them for 60 monthes? How do I know? Because they just got me my lower ratee. They are just abroker they tell me. They are not allowed to charge me anything they say. Yet, I have to "sign" on with them for 60 monthes. I wish they had of told me that in the beginning, I would have saved us all time by telling them to pound sand right in the beginning.

Wow you must have felt good about that.
That's almost as bad as them even calling..
I wish people knew who works these jobs. A lot of them are students working while taking courses.
I hate telemarketing calls but making fun of them the way you did is pretty pathetic.

Hmm, I gave my time to this person, I heard him out I got his comparison told him I would look at it, when he called back I told him we werent interested and this telemarketer got rude to me!!! Told me that he would be calling my boss because he is sure that I didnt talk to him and I would be in so much trouble once he has talked to him!!!! and sure enough he called today asking for my boss, not sure what he is wanting to accomplish but I think that it is way over the line when you politely decline what a TELEMARKETER is offering and they try and call your boss on you? My boss will be behind me 100% and always is but what if he did this to someone else and they were let go because this telemarketer doesnt take no for an answer.
smile 2012-07-21 00:14:36 Unknown
hello,
your processor has no point in telling you that you deserve lower rates, since they make money of you. Probably if you call they will tell you that your rates are totally fine..or give you a partial reduction ( which means yes they will decrease your base rate, but your non-qualified rates WILL go up), you will end up paying the same or even more.
Of course no one is telling you that you cant call your processor..
What Inkas offers is a free rate analysis with no obligations.. they will shop the market for you..show you how much you could be saving..if you don't want to know more.. that's your choice, and they respect it.
yes if you call back you will hit their voice mail, but thats kinda understandable, they are on the phones all day long. As far as i know, they return every call.
sincerely,
i know 2012-07-20 23:58:33 Unknown
Inkas is not your processor or your bank, it is an independant rate brokerage firm that specializes in reducing rates.
Inkas provides a free rate analysis, with no obligation. What they do basically is
1. Show you how low the rates can be for your business
2.How low your current processor can go
3. And the rates other processors have.
basically they shop around for you, to help you save money..all this for free with no obligations.
they dont ask for any confidential information, and even suggest you to remove the merchant number (only info that might seem confidential, but really is not)
-businesses that are willing to try it out, actually do save money.

As f says, there is no national DNC list for businesses. I posted this in another thread, but as a former cold-caller for Inkas, let me say this:
If you say 'Please put me on your Do Not Call list' we are supposed to check a box on the computer that is meant to prevent our dialer from calling you again. If you have done this and Inkas still calls you, then one of two things may be true: 1) it may be that us phone monkeys were lied to regarding the efficacy of checking the DNC box or 2) it may be that the phone monkey has failed to check the box, because there is *no* accountability whatsoever to make sure that we put you on the DNC list (although it is policy to do so).
Do please recognise that the person to whom you are speaking is only doing their job. It is unlikely that the person at whom you scream or blow a whistle has personally called you before, and so you are punishing the wrong person (either a previous cold-caller or the management, depending on the veracity of either (1) or (2) above). It is policy *not* to take you off the list for being rude or abusive; doing so is thus both pointless and makes the day of someone working a crappy job even crappier.
As others have said, ignoring Inkas' calls or hanging up when you hear the company name will do *nothing* whatsoever to stop us from calling you. The system is automatic. You should either talk to the cold caller or call the head office in order to stop the calls.
Regarding the legitimacy of Inkas' operation, I'm not sufficiently informed to comment on the quality of service. It isn't a 'scam' per se, inasmuch as the company will hook you up with a processor that will, initially (yes, I know), offer you a better rate. We didn't want your private bank information, all we really needed was a break down of your rates on your *processing* statement, with any sensitive information redacted.
I can tell you this though: Inkas claims to be a 'rate brokerage firm' that will shop your business around to various processors. In fact, we would always recommend that you go with Elavon. The Inkas name has been associated with armoured vehicles and financial security. As far as I can tell, the debit/credit machine side of the business is very recent and exists essentially as a front for Elavon so that they can get your business through a third party which claims (with technical accuracy) not to be selling you anything.

Further more, what does it say about your company when I get 3 hang ups in a row, I call back get the name of the company & google it and this is the 1st site that comes up...
Obviously if you provided a wonderful service then your company profile would come up in the search engines & rave reviews about how business owners were able to raise their profits by all the savings they got through your company etc etc.
If you tick off potential clients to a point of writing warnings to others then you should rethink your tactics.
You should also rinse your mouth out with soap & water, because you are foul mouthed:)
me 2012-07-17 14:31:53 Unknown
Regardless of whether or not your company is legit, the business practices that they follow are unethical.
I have had many rude conversations simply because I do not want to do business with them.
It seems to be practice or policy to harass people who are not interested. This is no way to do business and it completely wastes time and ties up phone lines for other business to get through.
I get about 8 calls a day from auto dialers and I would not do business with companies that contact me that way.

Found his home tel on a directory and left him a message. He called bacl leaving vm with his cell. I called him today and started off by saying " Is this david K, we have you on record as owner of Inkas Payments Corp (20000007Ont Inc) at 64 Signet Dr M9L 2Y4, is that correct". He confirmed both and sounded very scared. I instructed (not requested) for him to immediatley arrange for our tel no to not be called by his company. He agreed with a very scared "yes, sir". Hope the rest of you find solace in reading this.

Inkas doesn't offer a processing service. Either you're an idiot or you're lying.
real human 2012-06-30 13:42:26 Unknown
It's not a scam at all. Obviously they are not with your processor. They are a RATE BROKERAGE FIRM. When was the last time your beloved Global Payments (who has a record of ripping people off) ever called you and offered a rate analysis. Also take into account how long this business had been around and its A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. Another thing you might want to think about is who is on the other side of the phone call. You get several calls like that a week perhaps but they make upwards of 400 calls a day and 90% are just as close mined and not willingly to listen as you are. Oh and your precious merchant statement has NO confidential info. It's just a bunch of number you probably don't fully understand.

Just further reason why you should not deal with this company (ligit or not ) if these are the kinds of employees they have! Go back and learn some etiquette, and business relations.
