Stop calling me
| John 2013-12-11 00:26:57 Unknown |
I get the call from 877-520-4030 and didnt start getting it until I simply got information from COX about internet service. I thought I answered slow first but the second time they called I caught it on my phones second ring and immediately they hung up. Needless to say I will not be using COX due to the coincidence.

This company changed the phone number of the local cable company to a local that transferred me to them. Things sounded funny, so I hung up. They called back under this phone number, and I once again hung up on the person then contacted cable to find out that these phone numbers are not associated with them.

I received a call from 1-877-520-4030 today from someone claiming to be with Time Warner Cable to inform me that my recent order had not been completed due to computer error and that they needed to go through the entire process again. I had indeed placed an order and set up an instillation date yesterday, but only after trying to reach TWC at a local branch with the number listed being 1-855-800-5935. It was during this call that a RED FLAG went up. The woman who was supposed to be with TWC, but I know now was not, was almost finished with my order when she said to complete I needed to pay for the upgraded services upfront and also needed my DL# and SS#. When I declined to give her those numbers, she then asked me why was I so worried about giving that information over the phone and when I responded that I would never give that information out, she hung up on me. Now I am getting phone calls wanting to complete my order, when it has already been done. Please do not give these people any of your information and report them to your phone company. They are also all over the web with several different web addresses that are fake!!!

Called Time Warner a few days ago, inquired about rates, did not purchase and have been receiving these calls ever since. No messages left when I have not answered. Predatory Jerks!

The only site I Signed up on was mymove.com and Comcast.com. Following this I got a call from this number around 10 times and did not leave a message. One of these two companies are selling their customer information to offshore companies that spam their customers with these calls and ask for private information.
I have gone through hell dealing with such offshore mothers... In short NEVER give them any thing unless you called them through reliable sources.

| Horrible experience with Liz 2013-08-21 02:20:07 Telemarketer |
Liz from Florida (with a hard core Indian accent probably based out of Mumbai) calls me today for a cable promotion.
Me: Well, I am not interested in your cable connection. We don't have a TV at home.
Namesake Liz (Totally ignores what I just said): Your calls will be monitored for quality.......
REALLY???? Is that the reply you expect from a mentally competent person? She just seemed to read out a questionnaire from a paper. Every-time I tried to express my disinterest, she raised her voice with another promotional offer.
Namesake Liz asks for my SSN, I cut her off. Waiting for the next call to have more fun.

My story goes one step further. I actually was routed to a call center after dialing Time Warner Cable's 1-800 number (confirmed on cell phone and multiple online/print listings that I had indeed dialed Time Warner Cable) and spoke with someone who had a very thick Indian accent. They took all of my personal information after I agreed to the service bundle I had wanted, but when reviewing my order it became evident that they didn't even remember what the prices were that they had initially quoted. She provided a confirmation number that did not even contain the correct number of digits and was way out of sequence according to subsequent Time Warner reps. When I asked the Indian rep to speak with a supervisor, they placed me on hold until I was eventually disconnected (after 40 minutes). Time Warner has no record of my conversation with the Indian representative, and insists that an account was never established. The next day I started receiving calls from 887-520-4030.
p.s. Time Warner has been unwilling to admit that such fraudulent communication could occur when I called their 1-800 number, but right now someone is sitting out there with ALL of my personal information and a huge credit limit!

I have 15 documented calls where they call and leave no message. I am assuming it is spam being that my Time Warner account and the number they are calling are not at all connected.

I got this call three days in a row at the same time all of them around 5:30 and 6:00 after I had called Time Warner cable for a quote. It appears on my phone like +8775204030 and 1(877)520 4030 . The man that I spoke was like oriental with a poor English. He said that he was calling from Time Warner Cable in reference to the call I made. I said to him that I am not interested any more in the service and he hung up.

Received a call from them after inquiring about cable services from Time Warner cable. They wanted personal information, including my social sec #, mother's maiden name, etc, and they also wanted me to make up a pin number. Then they wanted credit card information. I got suspicious after being asked to make up a 4 digit pin number (I would think many people use the same pin number for everything), so I told them I did not have any credit cards.

Rec'd call today from 877-520-4030. Sent it to Vmail; they left no message. Got online to see who was calling, discovered this site. My guess is, from reading over the posts, is that this is MAIN call center located overseas (from the USA) who does sales calls for various cable companies. I'd recently called from my cell phone to inquire about Cox Cable rates. The noise in the background of other call center people was extremely annoying and I could not understand the accented person I was speaking to. I only wanted general info but when she asked for address I hung up. Called back, same scenario. Hung up. They must have caller ID'd my cell and so tonight I got the call.
I have NO WAY on this cell to block their number, but I keep it off most of the time, only checking periodically for messages. They've probably called before and didn't leave a message (while my phone was off).
Pretty annoying and speaks poorly of the cable companies contracting w/this overseas company, but then cable companies aren't known for their ethical behavior. Now, if the cable companies AREN'T approving these robotype of calls, then they are being done illegally to obtain personal info from us.
So, beware, of course.

They are driving me crazy!! I set up cable with some company and since then this number keeps calling and not leaving any voicemails. They call multiple times a day and I never pick it up for them. When I returned their call, they gave me two options. Option one was to speak to a representative to order their services. The company is called "Saveology" and they do cable and internet, supposedly. Option 2 was to be put on the Do Not Call list. Trust me, neither of these options worked. I'm waiting for them to call me again so that I can tell them they need to take me off their call list. Just make sure that if they call you that you do not give them any personal information.

I tried to get cable but didnt. This # is obviously someone who is paying for info from utility companies which can be done.. after knowing u inq'd with a well-known utility companies they call you back acting like they are with The services that you requested an attempt to gather your personal information. Yup scammers. Did not answer the initial call after calling the phone number back three times it said please press two if you want room service or press three to be removed from a list. Whats wrong w/ america. They so should give a test to each perdon on their honesty. If they are not up to the test or dont pass it. Ship em out.

Time Warner will call this number if you call and try to find out how much a new cable service will cost. They ask for a number "in case you're disconnected" and then use it to put you on some mailing list. Not that it helps to call them anyway, I was looking for a simple basic cable package and the person on the other end said they only had the 200+ channel digital package that would cost me 70 dollars a month plus I'd have to lease two cable boxes, but she can throw in home phone for only 10 dollars more!
I said forget it so I guess they're getting money off of me by submitting me to a telemarketer.
If I could get any other cable company in this area I would. Cox was never this bad.
