Yep - this is ADT alright.  I looked out here the last time they called, and based on all the negative comments I went ahead and ignored the voice mail - figuring it was some kind of sales pitch.  They called again last night, and this time I went ahead and called them back.   Turns out they were calling about a past due balance on our business account. . . seems like we never got the bill in the mail, so I'm glad they called! ! They're emailing me a copy so we can get this settled.  

This is in fact an actual ADT number. Got the call and VM. Called back and they wanted to confirm business name and address, phone number and contact person. they wanted to let us know we have a final bill and could i pay over the phone. i let them know that is an accounting dept issue and i'd pass it along.

i'm inclined to believe it's half legit since she acknowledged we canceled our account, i just can't confirm the final payment amount since i can't recall the last bill we received from them.

either way, i'm forwarding the msg to accounting and they can take care of it.

Wow you sound proud declairing Bankruptcy.  You are part of the problem in America!!!  Pay your bills or don't acquire them!

Female caller said that they represent ADT Security and that we need to call them back first thing in the morning. Recieved 19 February aproxamately 20:56 hrs Mountain Standart Time. Since our security account is not with ADT there is no point in calling "her" who could be a him with voice modulator back (hackers love these they are available on Ebay).

Um, ADT - the SECOND you are notified of a bankruptcy filing, you stop all collections actions.  Just because it's just too much work for you to verify the information (in your mind, anyway, it actually takes about 2 minutes) means diddly squat.  You can be sanctioned heavily for violating the bankruptcy stay.  IT IS ABSOLUTELY YOUR JOB TO CALL THE LAWYER ONCE YOU'VE BEEN INFORMED OF A BANKRUPTCY.

Receive 2-4 call EVERY DAY from this ADT phone number. Do NOT ever do business with ADT!! They are scammers!! They will take money from you upfront and debit your account EVERY MONTH, but then send you paper bills saying that the paid bill is unpaid and trying to get MORE money!! REPORT ADT and never do business with ADT!!

ADT my understanding of bankruptcy is that once you are told bankruptcy has been filed and you get the lawyers name and phone# you have to stop calling them or they can sue you.

It was ADT and when I called this # back, I got a person who looked up our account and found that we were past due on our ADT annual bill. So it was legit.

Unfortunately, ADT is calling you directly and not using a debt collector. Only debt collectors are not allowed to call on Sundays. Since you have a contractual relationship with the company legally they can call. Morally, however, it shows what kind of company this really is. If you are thinking of using ADT, please, please, please check around and see what kind of company ADT really is.

Missed this number 3 hours ago on a Sunday. I called back the number and is a recording saying it is ADT. Is so strange they didn't leave a voice mail but I don't understand why they are calling me when I have my bank account in auto monthly payments?

This number called me once in February and I automatically answered the call with my bluetooth, since I can't see caller id while I'm driving. All I got was a recording telling me I'm on hold for an ADT staff. First, why is a computer calling me and putting me on hold? Especially for several minutes? I just hung up after a while since I'm not an ADT customer and nobody in my family is, either.

Well, come April, they're now calling me practically every day this week and leaving blank voicemails. I'm glad I looked at this number here before I bothered to try and tell them to stop calling a non-customer college student with no credit history.

I called the official ADT number: 1-888-238-2727 and this number: 1-877-545-1392 is in fact an official ADT phone number.

Something about ADT Security.  I do not have an account with them.

Working for the Police Department, I know when shady tactics cross over the line and the Better Business needs to get involved.  

We're having ADT investigated for illegal phone practices.  If I know the lawyer taking the case, I suspect you'll hear less and less from ADT in the future.  His team has done wonders taking such cases in front of at least three judges in our state.

Get calls every day from this number asking for "LC Walker" who I am not nor do I know. I called and talked to a representative and told him this. He asked for my name which I refused to give. He told me they won't stop calling until I give them my name.

I work for a Fortune 500 company with a large legal department. ADT will be hearing from them if I get another call.

ADT has become the worst company in the alarm business.  And that is pretty bad, considring that many of these companies are little more than scams.

A few months ago,I tried to update my 10 year old system that we didn't use.  I had to sign a 3 year contract to get what I wanted.  I paid in advance.  ADT then breeched every aspect of the contract, and immeediately sent me a false bill for additional fake charges.  After multiple calls to  customer service, I was promised it was fixed.  They had sent me a bill and called the next day to allege that it was overdue. Then the next month, same thing:  sent incorrect bill and began calling 3 days later to harrass me.  

ADT came on the wrong day to install the new equiplment.  They did not install what I asked for, and the equipment is of poor quality.  Very  expensive but of cheap quality.  When I left home the next week, the alarm went off, but ADT didn't call me.  We called ADT when neigfhbors notified me and corrected the out of date phone numbers, and they still did not correct the call list.  Do I need to go  on and on?  ADT is a total waste of money, primrily a scam, that harrasses and cheats its customers.  Unless you want to spend time on the phone talking to crooks, and searching for a good lawyer, AVOID ADT LIKE THE PLAGUE!

They called me twice tonight to tell me I owe them upwards of $135. However, all of my payments come out via my account so there is no way it could be real. Whoever keeps saying it is legit on here is wrong and probably part of it. No way i'm giving them any of my info. ADT says i'm all payed up.

I have received one call per day for the last 3 months.  I've called them 3 times, and they tell me that they can't do anything about it and they will continue to call me.  I do not have an account with them - and I never will.  What can I do?  I'm being harrassed.

The number is definitely from ADT Security. Generally, their bill-collecting thugs.
They are famous for being little chicken girls and never leaving a message.

This is obviously a phishing attempt.  Just because you use the nickname "adt" on a website, doesn't mean it's an official response from the company, let's use common sense here.  Never give your personal information out to a call like this.  Refer to your paperwork from ADT or their website and call their customer service yourself.

I canceled my acct with adt after I kept getting alrm set offs due to my pets. I told them that the system would do me no good if it couldnt be fixed. The only fix would have cost me more money than the advertised special.That was not what I signed up for and they didnt want to come and retrieve their system(even though the money I payed up front covered the system)Please tell me how to make these calls stop.They told me that if I payed them $1100.00 dollars that they would stop bothering me. Me and my wife are both on disability and told them this.They call me repeatedly on my cell phone and home phone all hours,PLEASE HELP!

Got same call from those ADT scammers. Will have some fun with them next call. Eventually these idiots will wake up. Have P.D. connections, will try for a trace.

Isn't ADT aware that they cannot, repeat, CANNOT make an attempt to collect a debt on a Sunday in New York State.  They called me this past Sunday from their now famous 877-545-1392 number.  I'm a christian and the Sunday is considered a sabbath day and as per NY law I don't have to pay the debt because they called me on a sunday in attempt to collect the debt.  Next time they call I will be notifying the FCC, FTC, NYS Atty general and my lawyer !!!
