I got the EXACT same message from a Michael Wood today-but the number was 866-967-0146

Has anyone ever recieved a call frm a "mrs. carol" frm 877-599-8927? Is this a legal firm or debt collection agency?

They told me they were going to serve me cause they have process servers everywhere. They had my debt for like 2  weeks and had never contacted me before. Good luck on that case! Anyway it is illegal to say there is a lawsuit if there is not. They are in so much violation of the law, they should just crawl in a hole cause they will get caught and they will go down.

They told me that they would serve me at work, jokers don't even know where I work. They are total liars, and in violation of MANY MANY LAWS, check out the Fair Debt Collection laws. They have to identify themselves at debt collectors which they don't, told me they were litigators. They have to send everything in writing within 5 days and they NEVER have, they would not provide and address which they have to. etc etc. They cannot lie about there being a court case or any of that, when they said Ms Littlejohn was coming to my place of employment I laughed out loud, they were like in Az or someplace. They can't hassle you at work either. If they serve me, I will serve those suckers back and they will end up owing me, check it out, the Judge can end up award you money if they use a lot of unlawful debt practices. When I get done with them I mean to see them AND check n go in big trouble.

More details-I had tried to make arrangements to pay off a debt with Check n Go, they had someone call and try to intimidate me. Then I set up payments with them with CCCS of Nebraska, they send the 2nd check back to me and told me they had sold it to a debt collector, I called them and they said they sold it to someone else and gave me the number, I called them and they told me someone would respond in a week. This tough sounding guy called about my court case, when I told him I did not have a court case, he said yes you do, identified themselves as Allstate. I told him I wanted to work with them to pay it off, he started getting smart and I finally told him I would turn them into the Attorney General so he hung up, I called back and got a Bobbie Littlejohn, she said her name was, made arrangements to pay by pre paid credit card, as credit cards over  the phone is their only method of payment. When I got off the phone, wondered about the wisdom of it, called back, couldn't get Miss Littlejohn back, they told me her name was Fisher now. The gal talking to me said I seemed unhappy so deleted my payment set up, which is not what I told her to do, called back several times and left messages finally got Ms Littlejohn/Fisher back and reset it, looks like they tried to take payment sooner than was set as card got blocked. They repeatedly refused to give me their address, a non 800 # or any info. I talked to FTC that advised not to pay by cc and that they must send everything to me in writing, I left them a vm to that effect, they have never contacted me again which is lucky for them because the next stop is the Attorney General, which I will do anyway eventually. FTC told me to tell them I would see them in court and not to be afraid of that.

I had problems with them due to a debt to check n go, very unprofessional and illegal. Turned them into FTC.

Our daughter received a call about our diabled son. The caller stated to her that she had to contact our son before a warrent was issued and that the sheriff would be looking for him and would arrest him for check fraud and that he would be taken to jail. They gave her a case # with the 877 number. Today my husband called to find out what was going on. They did not ask for identification or anything. They simply gave all the information connected to the case to him as if it were public knowledge. This too had something to do with a Check n Go. I thought there was a privacy law in our country! Maybe we have lost that privilage as well! The woman my husband talked to was a Ms. Curitin(?). We will be contacting the Attorney General on this.

Got a call from 877-599-8927 from a Deanna Woods. Said there was a court summons in my name that needed to be delivered to me as a company had files a complaint against me for a bad check with intent to commit fraud. She stated that " a court summons was faxed over to her office this morning and that she was ordered to serve me to my place residence, place of employment, or even through family members and even via phone." Wanted to know if I was aware of my case and if I have any questions to immediately contact the plaintiff's legal department at 1-877-599-8927 ext: 370. Gave me a case number also. She also said they would be actively looking for me to serve me the documents. "You have been officially notified and good luck." Funny thing is when I called this number back, I was placed on hold for 10 minutes hung up on them and they called back. I asked that the information be sent to my attorney's office and she told me that they could not send court summons via fax. So I told her to mail it then and they refused.. I asked for their mailing address and they as well refused. Checked our local district clerks site and found NOTHING with my name. Wow think I am going to let our Attorney General know about this and how they are threatening people and refusing to give information when requested.

I gentleman by the name of Michael Woods left a message on my cell phone to call that 1-877-599-8927 number. He stated that a court summons was faxed over to ther office this morning and that he was ordered to serve me to my place residence, place of employment, or even through family members. Wanted to know if I was aware of my case and if I have any question to immediately contact the plantiff's legal department at 1-877-599-8927. Gave me a case number also. He said they would be actively looking for me to serve me the documents. "You have been officially notified"

This was a number I was directed to call after receiving a call from an unavailable source with an Ashley Banks telling me that a process server from the Sheriff's dept. would be coming out because of check fraud. So, I called the number given to me at 877-599-8927. It was from a check n go debt from two years ago and I had to make payment arrangements in order to stop the proceedings. Funny thing is, I got their address but can find nothing about them online. I sure hope they only take what they are supposed to from our card. They said they would send me an email stating that the payment was in full with the amount once it was taken out. I still think it is a little weird and am nervous about it.

Called about a debt of a check n go place. Said would send process server fromsheirffs department if necessary.

They were looking for my bother for legal issues
