Harassing calls asking for my credit card numbers

"They" have been calling my cell phone for 2 weeks. Every morning at the same time, even on Saturdays. I have been nice, I have been ugly, I have left messages for 2 supervisors. They continue to call. I've been told "don't answer the phone". They call back in an hour if I ignore it. I'm not even the person they are looking for. They claim to be looking for Rickey. When I say "wrong number", they ask ME questions. I just want the calls to STOP !!!

They call my number on an average of 5 times per day.  They never leave a message so I figure its not that important.  If it is Advanta, I have never had an Advanta Credit card.

MAYBE DAMAGED IN POSTAL TRANSIT ?   OTHER VENTORS PAYMENTS WERE SENT AT SAME TIME FROM POST OFFICE LOCATION DID ARRIVE  ON TIME.

Don't waste your time calling this number back...they don't know anything.  Call instead 800-705-7255 and you'll speak to someone WHO DOES KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON WITH YOUR ACCOUNT.

I had a credit card with ADVANTA for several years and faithfully paid my bills...which I pay through online banking.  I do not owe them anything and when I call back to see why I've received three calls between 8:25AM and 9:11AM I'm told that they can't see my records and that the department I need to speak to is closed and to call back next week.  In the mean time I continue to get these calls.

My sister-inlaw, mother and husband received a call from this number asking for my address. This is so annoying. Why are they calling them and should I be concern they are indicating is a legal matter.

Indeed it was Advanta Bank. However, it wasn't Advanta Bank because Advanta Bank went belly-up. The FDIC is responsible for this nonsense. They have hired a third-party collection company. I received a call from a very RUDE Asian woman who is harassing me for what reason I do not know. I explained that the payment wqas due on the 10th of the month. She indicated that it is now due on the 7th of the month. I explained that a Credit Card Company or Third Party Collection entity cannot just arbitrarily change the Due Date without prior notification and agreement from the account holder.

When I pressed her as to additional information as to what she should know, it seems that I engaged in game of STUMP the IDIOT. Thus, if it were a legitimate call, she should have been able to answer the questions. She refused. I hung up. Have checked my Account and the Due Date did not change, and the payment for this month was paid on the 8th of the month. She is calling me why? SCAM ...SCAM...SCAM. She went on to tell me how I seemed to know a lot about this and instead of answering my inquiries, she wanted my bank information. NOT GOING TO HAPPEN BABY!!!

Advanta.  Advanta has the WORST accounting system in the world, AND they are in receivership being closed by the feds.  My experience is that they will change the address for where the payments are going on a frequent basis and then can't properly record payments received.
The phone number is an auto-dialer and for some reason they dial and there is no one that gets the call to actually speak to the person that has just been dialed (since it is operated by the federal government at this point in time, the person who was supposed to be there to man the phone probably hasn't shown up to work - but they are being paid with taxpayer funds anyway) and no one was smart enough to have a system to make sure that they have staff before turning the auto-dialer on.  
Best solution is to list the number and block it on your lines.

How do you send a Cease and Desist number? They keep calling me over and over like 6 times per day. It's so annoying.

Two weeks ago started getting calls from 877 630 5819 twice a day, every day including the weekends.  I don't know why since I do not have an Advanta card and never have.  Picked up once and no answer.  Picked up another time (pretending to be someone else) and they hung up on me and wouldn't leave a message.  What can be done?

BI***!BI***!BI***! I called to remove my mother's ph from their computer, and I almost wanted to give the lady a high five, in her face with a chair!!!!!

The called today. Said Toll Free Caller. Couldn't have been that important if they didn't leave a message.

Send them a "Cease and Desist" letter. They will then have to stop calling you.

Advanta calling to collect money,

This is Advanta for sure they are calling about Visa payments.  Thier interest rate is at 34.99%.  Was 7.9% when account was closed.  Never late, never missed a payment until the ridiculus rate change for no reason.  Now the number is just one to be ignored forever.  34.99% really??

Not only did Advanta go bankrupt but in the process dropped my limit from 10,000 to 2,500 which was my balance owed and made it appear that my card was maxed out and my credit score started plummeting!

WONT LEAVE A MESSAGE AND WHEN I GOOGLE THIS NUMBER IS NO ONE WE KNOW!

They did the exact same thing to me.  So when it showed up I had 0 available credit on my credit report all my cards started dropping my limit to what was owed.  I went from what my banker called "walk on water credit rating" to under 600 credit rating in less than 9 months.  These banks screwed up, got a pass/bailout, then turn around and burn us consumers who have made the bankers rich!

I don't even have a credit card or other account with these people and am receiving calls all day every day except Sunday. I called back the first few times but never able to actually talk to a human. Why do we as a nation continue to pamper, support, rescue rich banks that are agressive and cruel, who's ultimate goal is to become richer as we the little guys continue to drown? C'mon big government you saved thier butts, now help us!!

877 630 5819 called me over 30 times last week and hung up each time i answer the phone. i believe it is advanta credit card collector , i am sick and unable to pay my bills ,i have been paying off one card at a time but i will never pay these b*****ds one dime,  ive told them not to call  and that i dont do buisness over the phone but they continue to harrass me. i understand i am able to sue collectors for harrassment,i am going to get a phone that records my calls on a printout and sue these pricks they are really affecting my health

They just called now, at 6pm on a SATURDAY.  I called back twice and got a robot.  Very very very rude.  I hope someone knows how to trace this number and disconnect their robot after properly obtaining a court order

Don't know who this number belongs to but they have been calling every day for awhile now.  They never leave a message and I'm not calling them back.

I get a call from this number daily with a computer on the other end saying to hold and I will be connected shortly.  I actually held today to give them a piece of mind (my theory is if you need to talk to me, then have a real person!!! call me), but was told no one was available and they would try back later.  AAAGGGHHH!  When looking online, someone said this was a collection agency, but I have no accounts in collection, so I have no idea why they keep calling. Let 'em keep dialing, I won't be answering.
