I too received a piece of mail from them today but unfortunately we do have a lien from the government on our property for back taxes but the name that was on the paper was not the correct name of the owner of the residence so I don't know what to make of this company and I've called and they did not call back

I got one of these mail pieces today and I know what it is. It is a company trying to offer you their service in putting together an Offer In Compromise under IRC section 7122 for you, that you pay them to do. The only way an OIC will work with the IRS is if you have some disposable income left over after your living expenses to pay them on a monthly basis or if they accept the offer, as this company suggests, that you can pay 10% of the total "debt", it sounds maybe like a good deal. However, if one has a Notice of Federal Tax Lien filed in their local county clerk's office, one can wait for the 10-year statute of limitations to expire. You see, the tax law says that if the IRS cannot collect on a tax "debt" after 10-years from the date of assessment, they have to zero it out. It is like debiting Bad Debt Expense and crediting Tax Debts Receivable. That journal entry wipes it out. You no longer owe it, provided you really ever owed it in the first place. Go to http://www.losthorizons.com/CtCforFree.pdf for the fascinating truth about taxation in America. You'll be astounded.

Got a letter that looked really scary that had this phone number on it. TOTAL SCAM! It says I have a tax lien on my home, but I don't own my home. Also, the return address is phony, says it's TAX INFORMATION-DO NOT TAMPER. The letter references sections 6321,6322 and 6323. Of what? The letter doesn't say.
Oh, and they are generously allowing me to pay 10 cents on a dollar of the "tax lien." Yeah, right.
These kind of snakes really make me sick. I'm sure someone who doesn't read this type of letter very very carefully would try hard to pay up that 10%. They would be paying scumbags.
I hope the people who wrote this piece of crap get scabies, mange and impetaigo all on the same day.

Was this a scam or was it legit? I know someone who received the same letter and they are pretty suspicious of this being that they haven't had any tax liens. Please let me know. Thanks!!!
