Maybe if you knew how to read AT ALL you would have realized that this is a PAID liability and that the collection company (Repo Company) is in the wrong.  Also you should know that threatening or misleading people that they are being investigated for a crime is ILLEGAL.  So I think YOU are the ill informed one here.

I had a repo company try to get my car, they door knocked told me to hand it over.  I told them to beat sand and get off my property.  Three weeks later a guy in plain clothers with a badge around his neck came to the door.  Said he had a Writ for my vehicle and handed it to him.  He demanded I open the gargae door,  I refused and he put me on the ground and handcuffed me.  Then two other cops showed up.  They took me to jail for hiding my vehicle.  In Texas they can do this once they file the writ.  Judge made me surrender the car and pay a $1,500 fine.  I was charged with a misdemeanor and I spent 5 days in jail.  Harris county DA dropped the charges for not obeying officer or some crap.  

At the end I wish I had turned the car in.  I have moved on since then.  This was not from this company just a personal experience I wanted to share.  You can go to jail if they file a writ.

I AM suing GMAC ALLY as we speak. They hired SB Investigations who called my sister scared the hell out of her. They pose as law enforcement investigating fraud cases. First, only a federal or state prosecutor can investigate people for fraud. I did a criminal back ground check to see If I had been investigated or charged with fraud nothing. Second I had voluntarily returned my vehicle to the dealership several months prior. They didn't to have to hire anyone to repossess so WHY was SB Investigations investigating anything? I'll get GM to hand over a truck and a few million as well!

SB Investigations is a company called Skipbusters. They are part of a larger company called American Recovery Service and Patrick K Willis Company. Patrick K Willis bought Eddie Murphys mansion in El Dorado Hills, Ca. The CEO is Peter Willingham The main managers for Skipbusters are David Copeland, Joey Yo http://www.facebook.com/joey.yo and Steven Shelk his wife Sara Harrigan works for the other side American Recovery Service.

The numbers they leave you are to what is called a spoof, trap or blind line the extention is usually the last 4 didgets of your internal account 6 didget number. These services are provided by companies such as http://www.bellescamp.com/. When you call in to these blind line's, you r called id block is defeated even if you *67 the before you call. Other things they can do with these blind numbers are input exactly what they want to show up on your called id. If they have your mothers phone number they can use that to make you pick up. None of this is illegal. They can also put your own number into the caller id to get into your voicemail. That is illegal, but they do it anyway and get away with it.

Everyone at Skipbusters uses an alias, to protect their identity and they hide behind the blind line to escape the threat of any type of legal action. The average billing for a repo to one of their clients is arround 350 to 400 for the investigation and 350 to 400 for the repo. The investigator makes about 75 dollars commission per car, of which the contracted repo driver and his company usually makes only about 275 to 300 dollars per car.

Please please, please do not be afraid of SB investigations, they will use every tactic in the book to scare you, your friends and family to get to your car. To them you are not human and they do not care about what problems you have, you are just a number. Call the lein holder on your vehicle and negotiate you may find that they are more amicable to your plight than SB investigations.

I recently had a very similar incident with the SB Investigations Fraudulent Division.  I spoke with Mike Ellis on the same day I walked out to find my car...gone.  I was not concealing the vehicle but I was indeed out of town.  I had less than three payments left and had been in constant contact with my finance company.  Who by the way confirmed that due to my impeccable payment history and the fact that I continued to pay through my loss of income (due to medical leave), they would work with me.  So believe when I say the call from Mr. Mike and the absence of my vehicle I was devastated and outraged!  Needless to say: 1. 911 operator gave me a number to Digital Recognition as the tow service 2. Digital Recognition had no clue what I was talking about when I called for the location of my vehicle 3.  the number Mike Ellis called from was the Department of Transportation and the chic who answered had no clue as to who he was.  As we all sit here with our horror stories one thing is sure some of this has to have some legality to it because the occurrences are so many.  The question is the methods in which they use are illegal.    This is for Mr. Ellis and his cohorts, I will not stop pursuing this matter.  O' yeah I got my car back and its finally PAID in full.

Wow, first and foremost, what conversation were you reading.  They both clearly stated that the car had been "PAID" in full (and for some time).  This investigation company called them and alerted them to an obvious error on the part of the finance company (thank goodness for that, unh).  Finance companies are the ones who hire the investigators.  My advice is to you, because you obvious work for one of the two types of companies here, why don't you guys update your records!  Please don't be so "QUICK" to point the finger back.  My best wishes to you.

I got a call from this Investigator Taylor while I was at work and she completely disrupted my entire day and the day after! The number she used was 954-444-5841
She threatened me with a warrant for my future arrest for autotheft saying I was concealing the vehicle, which was a complete lie because the car company has my home address.
Then she proceeds to call saying that the address I gave them was incorrect. She is the worst kind of bully who pretends to be your friend acting like she has your best interest at heart. I fell for her lies hook; line and sinker, like a fool - resulting in a disruption of my work day due to the panic and distress her phone call caused me and the lack of sleep that night. I was such a mess the following morning, waking up in such a panic, that I called in sick to work that day. This woman is a disgrace to humankind AND I HOPE SHE REAPS THE KARMA OF HER ACTIONS!

I returned the call and after a two-minute wait, I was directed to a voicemail system. I left my name and callback number before I had searched the net for this "organization." The website lists an international number.

I would like to see what this person has to tell me. I do not have any outstanding debts. I pay what I have on time. If I have any further communication, I will post the results.

I agree, stuff happens. But if you cannot afford something simply give it back and let that be that. You must put together a priority list and start with least important things.

You know what?  Is it really amyone's fault that a person loses their job and can't pay their bills.  People are losing their jobs after having them for 20 years for goodness sakes.  You are so wrong with acting like you are Miss Perfect paying your bills on time, what you never had money problems?  Let me tell you something.  I lost my job a year ago and guess what, my vehicle too is being repoed.  I have had my vehicle for 3 years and only have two years to go and only owe like 8 grand on it.  Before I lost my job, yeah sometimes the payments were late, but I always paid.  That was the only thing I paid, because I knew without it, I wouldn't get to work.  So, then I lose my job, I was on unemployment and that is gone, so now I can't pay.  It's not that I don't want to believe me.  So for you lady, you have some nerve telling people that they are wrong for not paying their bills or do not purchase anything, because sometimes as the old saying goes, stuff happens and there is not a darn thing you can do about it.
