Woman wanted to talk to business owner. I said he was not here. She then wanted to know if there was anyone she could talk to concerning our business listing. Told her no and hung up.

One more thing, make a complaint on the national do not call list registry if you are on the do not call list. Be sure to leave the customer service number for ebridge 866-944-3947 and the fake number that showed on your caller ID. 8776840406 Maybe if enough people file complaints, they will get slapped $16000 for each infarction. I really hate these a***oles.

Got two calls today from this number which is a fake number on the caller ID.
People, if you get calls from places like this often-CALL YOUR PHONE COMPANY AND MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THEM NOT ALLOW ANY THIRD PARTY BILLING TO YOUR PHONE BILL WITHOUT YOUR CONSENT/ CONTACT.
This will only be done if you REQUEST it directly through your phone company, and will mean these people cannot charge you for bupkis.
SOmetimes I have fun with them and keep them on the line as long as I possibly can, asking stupid questions, until they finally hang up.
Don't bother asking them about the do not call list. They don't care. You do not have their real phone number to complain about them anyway.

Woman called our business this morning from this #. She had a thick accent and asked for the owner or manager of the business. When I asked who was calling, she said something that I didn't catch because of her accent and her quick speaking. I caught something about our business being "selected" to be the "featured business" for our town (which she didn't pronounce correctly.) I told her we weren't interested, to please put us on their do-not-call list. She was still trying to talk over me when I hung up. I'm quite certain they'll call back. Again and again. But they've been warned not to call back so when they do (and I'm sure it's a "when" and not an "if") I'll have my eardrum-piercing emergency whistle ready.

I am getting no fewer than 6 call attempts a day by these clowns. I find it hillarious and disturbing that on their BBB complaint page they claim they strive to be a legit business. Um, a legit business does NOT issue charges on accounts without client authorization. Neither does a legit business do cold calling phone harrassment. 10 minute recorded messages with a warning that you will be billed AT THE END OF THE MESSAGE... with charges beginning if you hang up prematurely??? really?

They keep calling us at home.

Same thing, calls here and doesn't leave a message. I am on the do not call list by the FTC. They have been placing fines on these companies so after I get done typing this information, I am sending the notes here, the times of the call and dates and forwarding to our attorney general's office. You can do the same with your Attorney General in your state, also report this to the FTC in Washington, DC. It takes a little time but soon they get fined and you won't receive any more unwanted calls.
Also, if you go to the Federal Trade Commission web site, they list phone numbers for you to call and be placed on the do not mail, do not call lists.
Good luck

Hay everyone, when you see these calls com on your CID device, just push the pound (#) key repeatedly, this should tell the auto dialer to remove your number from the data base & tremanite the call.

Annoying Co. says they're E-Bridge. Who needs them??? They called 4 times yesterday and today again. They finally said they would put my name on the removal list but hung-up before I could tell them that we have 10 numbers! They call them all I guess. We need new laws to stop these calls.

Called office, hung up in my ear when I answered w/co name. Apparently Ebridge calling from another number (used to call from 877-480-1245). What was really interesting before when we were getting these calls is that they'd hang up when I'd answer with business name; when I answered "Hello?" they'd give the spiel about advertising our "business"!!! Mornoic scumsucking jerks. Needless to say, calls will be hung up on from now on.
justme 2011-05-23 15:37:20 Unknown
Wow, thanks for that number "Fred"! I called it back and complained. They were actually very nice. Said they would remove us from the list. I guess we will see.
justme 2011-05-23 15:29:59 Unknown
They have called and fished for information about our small business. When I say I will not give out information until I have more information on them, they get VERY rude and impatient. Then I when I say, "Hold on, let me Google your company real quick." They hang up.

They have called me at home a lot. For fun, I decided to string them along a bit. Apparently, they are a company called Ebridge and sell web marketing. The rep (who said her name was Sherry Phillippe) claimed to offer advertising on search engines for a month for free. She said their company was located somewhere in California. I asked what was their number in case I wanted to speak to a real person. She told me that the company's number was 866-944-3947. I tried this later on and got the customer service line for Ebridge. So now you know the real phone number for the company.
When I asked this Sherry Phillippe if she would like to pay me $10,000, she hung up.

Repeated to calls to all of my bosses telephone numbers.
Jeff 2011-05-17 22:59:15 Unknown
Get calls twice a day on my residential line, and this number comes up on my caller id as "toll free number." First time I answered, waited for a response, then they hung out without saying anything. Called back later the same day so I just let it go to my voice mail, as I could see the number on my caller id box. No message was left and needless to say when this number calls, I won't be answering the phone.
So much for registering with the Do Not Call Registry... I thought this was supposed to prevent calls of this nature. Whatever, the easiest solution (if you have caller id) is to simply not answer the phone. They will eventually stop calling when they continually get my answering machine with my generic greeting.
