A small part of what your trying to say may be true. Consumers certainly can effect positive change to their own credit interest *on their own*. However, leaving out the most important part might leave folks confused.
They are telemarketing criminals most likely violating their own State Corporation Laws, and credit card processing fraud. (credit card laundering).
Robo-dialers and Cardholder Services continue to violate TCPA, TSR and the RICO Act-
Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act U.S.C. Title 18, Chapter 96 § 1962:

Sections 891-894 (relating to extortionate credit transactions), section 1028 (relating to fraud and related activity in connection with identification documents), section 1029 (relating to fraud and related activity in connection with access devices),?
Section 1 of Pub. L. 91-452 provided in part that: "The Congress finds that (1) organized crime in the United States is a highly sophisticated, diversified, and widespread activity that annually drains billions of dollars from America's economy by unlawful conduct and the illegal use of force, fraud, and corruption;

I also fell for these lower interest rate offers and I did as many of you which was cancel my card so the charge would decline. I have recently been sued for 3xs my $895 fee for doing so amd they won. I am at a complete loss because u don't know who u can trust amd all I did was try to protect myself and they were a legitimate program. Since I have had to pay the recourse 3xs they are lowering my rates with this wellness program but now the cost was ridiculous.

The people were very aggressive in that the call was to help me lower my current interest rates, not hurt me and I could not be held responsible for any charges to my credit card if I didn't authorize the charges and that I was protected by the law. They never would tell me how much the service cost, I never gave them any personal information. I quickly pull up the internet ask for their number, googled that number and while talking to them on the phone I was reading about them at the same time.  I ask to be removed from there list and told them about there record of suspicious and possibly fraudulent behavior and they hung up on me.

Jason I Joined and on 12/22/08 my Credit Union card was charged 995.00 Today 3/12/09 I called  the 877-696-1474 and spoke to the customer service rep. the program has been good to me. I only had one card 13.96% went to 10.80%. I am going to pay that card off tomarrow. I did not save the 2,500. promised. When I asked the rep how I get my refund he said call your credit card company and tell them that the Merchant processor is closed give them the 12/22/08 date and your conformation #8904201 And tell them to request the refund. Why am I not getting the refund from DIAGROUP LLC2? can you help me with this? My bank advised me to call the Attorney Generals Office. I would rather not do that as your group did help me some what. please respond.

I work for an organization with a number similar to Newport's toll free number and I've received several calls from elderly people who are quite upset about Newport's business tactics. I found this website via Google because one elderly woman caller cried and begged me to help her find the correct number for Newport Equity. I had no idea Newport Equity was running such a scam. I hope they are being reported to the state Attorney General's office in states where they're operating. This is terrible!

Late Aug 2008, they told my wife "no charge till we save you $2500." Then they charged her card immediately, 999 bucks! We hadn't even received paperwork, let alone submitted it. She thought we hadn't committed to anything yet. When we got the paperwork in early Sept 2008, I found that Googling "resolutions center" turns up ripoffreport.com as the top hit!! Decided we didn't want to do this. She called, they said it was too late, she already agreed on the phone to the services... (we didn't know the card was charged yet, but I suspected it had.. and was correct...) They said that "negotiations" was not able to save us money, and we'd get our refund by the end of October. It is now the end of November and still no refund. I emailed them today and the email bounced back. They seem to publish a bogus address.

They are listed at

http://www.orlando.bbb.org/codbrep.html?wlcl=y&id=195753173

as NOT BBB accredited (although they told my wife they were!)

And as of today, 101 complaints (should be 102 soon) against them in the last year.

If they take your money like this, you should IMMEDIATELY complain at

http://www.orlando.bbb.org/

Don't wait like I did. I think this may help speed up your refund, if you are so lucky to get one. (it appears they eventually do give it back... sometimes.) The BBB will contact these weasels on your behalf, so having that extra pressure on them probably helps. Their BBB page lists many complaints as "resolved."

We had great credit, and our interested rates where no higher than 8%, plus it can red flag your account plus the law says if no service given , refund must be given, we had no even sent in the one  piece of signed paperwork, and there was no contract to explaining all that was said over the phone, which a person forgets what is said over conversation on the phone!!!! Plus we recieved two different verisons of what would happen after interest was lowered for 2-6 months, then would go back up, what next more options, meaning more MONEY!!!!!!!Resolutions has our 1,400.00 with no service given and will NOT return IT!!!!!!!!!! Wrong!!!!!

HAVE ANY OF YOU ACTUALLY ATTEMPTED LOWERING YOUR INTEREST RATES?
The economy is not helping. Think about it, BANKS are going BANKRUPT more than ever now. Try and lower your interest rates. Unless you ruin your credit by doing a balance transfer, your really shouldn't worry about the Lower Interest Rate Program we provide.

This company didn't scam me at all. They lowered my interest rates but weren't able to show the savings, so they refunded the $1499 and I still kept the interest rates they reduced them to.

Frances, you were on a TAPED recording, stating you were approving the charge.

If this were a fraudulent charge, WOULD WE REALLY ASK YOU FOR A CHARGE? You gave out ALL OF YOUR INFORMATION! Name, account number, expiration date, and most of all your CVC!

As stated in your verification tape!

"Please keep in mind this is a non refundable, non cancelable service, however, in the event that we are NOT able to show you your minimum savings, you will be refunded $997 which is the cost of the enrollment fee within 30 days.

"Please keep in mind that it is your responsibility to complete your paperwork and mail it back to us; in order for us to complete your financial profile."

You recieved a confirmation number at the end of the recording. Did you get that? Did you get your negotiation appointment?

Your telephone number is provided from an outside source. Advertisers. When the automated message you receive gets to the end press TWO not ONE! Again there is more than one company that uses the EXACT same automated message. Seperate companies DO NOT use the same dnc list.

If you signed up for a home loan, or anything having to do with interest rates, will put you on the list.

I work for Resolutions Center Corportion. I have for years now. I am not the type of person to work for an illegitimate company. I have a wife and kids. I wouldn't risk my income for anything illegitimate. What we do is lower the interest rates on your credit cards. You must owe at least $3,000 at an interest rate on PURCHASES 13% or above, along with the account not being closed, past due, or over the spending limit. YES, we do verify the account by requesting for your credit card account number. For those who don't know, the only way you may charge on a credit card is with the correct way your name is spelt on the card, the account number, the expiration date, as well as the cvc(consumer verification code) which is the last three digits following the signature panel on the back of a card. If you were to run across a non legitimate company who scammed you in the first place that placed a charge on the account, or what about some of you scammers YOURSELFS, who scam restraunts saying you never made that charge at Red Lobster you took your wife out to and didn't want to pay for it, what would you do? You would call your credit card company and tell them there is a false charge, they would credit the account and investigate, right? Now let me ask you a question, when you go out to dinner, do you give the waiter or waitress your credit card? Yes of course right? Do you follow her to the machine? NO? Exactly, she has more of a chance stealing your credit card information than we would. Makes sense right? Not to mention, there is a law called the consumer protection act. This law states you are protected against loss, theft, fraud, and any unauthorized use or services not rendered. Therefore you are protected through your credit card company and by federal law.

Yes there is a fee. This fee is based upon your standings. Have you been past due or over the spending limit in the past 6 months?

Now you do have to qualify owing at least $3,000 on one or more cards with the interest rate of at least 13%. This is where you provide your credit card number and expiration date ONLY! Then you see we get back on the line and verify your debt with you. Such as your current balance as of today, last payment, and next minimum payment due.

Once qualified, you are transferred to a floor supervisor who then explains everything to you, as well as answers any questions you do have in complete detail. Here's where the fee comes into play.

Your are provided with a debt profile and financial analysis.
This is sent within a week or so.

Yes the fee depends on how your accounts are. This is no out of pocket to you.

Now the fee guarantees you to save AT LEAST GUARANTEED $2,500 in interest and finance charges.

For example:

Mindy Schwink owes $7,813.62 at an interest rate of 16.99%. Pretty high right? In the United States they can go as high as 100%. In Puerto Rico or Jamaica they can go up to 200%. Now you're paying $1,327.53 in interest and finance charges each year! That's ONLY if your staying at $7,800.00. More than likely, your credit line may be higher. Think about what you're spending.

Being as you are backed up by a guaranteed savings, why not?

There's no risk! Identify theft is only if you provide your FULL 9 digit social!

If you do not save your guaranteed savings, YOUR FEE IS REFUNDED BACK TO YOU!

Trust me! It comes right back out of MY CHECK!

I too got this call.  I am in the process of going through with this.  I have to tell you it feels like a scam.  I ahve tried to lower my double-digit CCs myself to no avail, so if this works, its worth the $990 they charged me.  I will let you all know how it pans out.

Similarly to the other reports, I was led to believe that these people work with the stores and businesses that accept credit cards and if the interest is lowered the card holders are more likely to use their cards to charge more services or consumer goods.  Both people that I spoke to gave me "Federal I.D. numbers", leading me to believe that this whole thing was genuine and not some rip-off.  After putting their name in a search engine I found a complaint on RipOffReport and one of the respondents there mentioned this site and their 877 number.  After reading most of the contributions here I believe also that the two "positive" ones may even be people who work for them and I tend to go with the majority and hope to be able to cancel the entire transaction.  Will keep you posted.

Frances,  could you  please tell me if AMEX finally took the charge off your account?  The same thing has just happened to me.  I did not send any of their paper work in and they have put the charge "on hold" until they investigate it.  I have already reported these people to RipOffReport.com and am hoping to resolve the whole mess soon, but would like to know what happened to you as you have not reported further here.  Thank you.

More info.  The interest rate reduction people did keep their appointment to call back only calling from different #787-652-1499.  I did not answer they left a message apparently I canceled my card # in time and their charge was declined.  Kenny Garcia called left a very friendly message letting me know the transaction was declined and they have no problem with that but they are calling because they had an appointment and would like to reschedule to show me how they can save me money on my credit cards.  If I'm not interested no problem.  After reading everything I have I feel it is just another ploy to suck me in.  Waiting to see how many times they call if I do not call back.

original call above came into my cell phone while on my lunch break no time to check out their claims.  When I got home I called my credit card company and they suggested I speak to their fraud dept. were they agreed I should cancel the number given which I did.  They also said that it did not matter who was called interest rate negotiations would not be done with an outside source unless they were paying off the card and then I would be paying the loan back to them.  By the way they specifically said that is not what they do that the cards would remain in use and I would continue to make payments same as before only the interest rate would be reduced. Could it be that the two entries to this site who claimed they were helped by this service actually work for the service and are a plant?

$1,499 current rate interest may be lowered to 6.99% no time limit on refund policy if at least $2,500 is not saved through their intervention.  Asked what they were doing that we could not do ourselves and she explain that contact the Senior Credit Analysist at the banks were we would not have access to someone that high up by calling customer service.  She also explained they work in conjuction with Visa to keep customers using their charge cards instead of paying off and cancelling. An appointment was also made for 7/17/08 8pm to let us know what they were able to arrange for interest for us.  I also have a Mailing Address do not know how true it is:

These guys a crooks. They called and made the same promises to me about lowering my credit card. That very same day they were unable to do so even though I have good standing with my credit card. The next thing I know they charged my credit card $799.00 for services they never were able to perform. I have called them several times and asked them to take the charge off. They say they will, but never do. It has been 70 days now and the charge is still on my card. I talked to them today and they told me that the company DIA is closed and that they Cororated offices just povide services for them and are unable to do anything about my refund.Don't do anything with these people. You can get your credit card interest rate lowered yourself simply by calling your credit card company and asking them to lower it.
