Got a message:
Vantage / This message is from Vantage Credit Union.  Your credit card was suspended for an security issue.  Please call us urgently at 877-7053-619.

Claim to be Franklin Bank, saying my card security (these criminals don't have good grammar) is about to expire and urge me to call this number.

Received a text message from "5000" stating "NOTICE.  This is an automated message from Franklin Bank.  Your card security is about to expire to resolve this issue please call us at 877-705-3619"  I do not have an account with Franklin Bank and not sure how they obtained my cell phone number, which is area code 214 (Dallas, Texas), although I live in the San Antonio, Texas area.

I also received this as a text message on Wednesday, so did my husband (we share a family plan.) Although I figured it was a scam, I did call the number to see what would happen, before reporting them to my cell phone carrier.  I got the same exact response as the first person who posted here did, a recording asking for a number.  No identification and of course, no human answered.  Please do the same (report this to your cell carrier), as this IS a scam.  While you may not think you are affected, because you don't have an account with this particular credit union, others do and if you can spare a couple of minutes to report these scumbags to your cell carrier, you may be helping to stop someone from trying to scam/steal from others.  Also, thanks to those who came here and posted about this number.

I received this text message on Wednesday stating the same thing.  I figured it was bogus due to the fact they text me three times, the same message, within a half hour.  I don't even have an account or credit cards with Vantage Credit Union.

i received a text message as well.  I have never been late on a bill, and i dont have acredit card that is about to expire.  
The message says

I called and inputted a bogus cc # and it repeated my number back in an Australian(?) accent.  There's no "Hi, thank you for calling Vantage Credit Union."  It just goes right into asking for your cc #.  I don't have account with Vantage Credit Union, but I was concerned because it is a credit union in my hometown of St. Louis.  I think it's just a plain ol' phishing scam.
