Got text today from 877-706-6424. Text indicated visiting their site. I did visit Home Depot's site for a survey about 1 week ago with the chance of winning a voucher from the store.

I called the #. They knew I was calling about the text and $200. They wanted to give me the $200 but wanted $5 for shipping and needed a credit card. I asked if I could pay the $5 locally and she said yes. When I inquired where she repeated the request for credit card information for shipping.

When I told her I do not give this information out over the phone, the conversation ended with her saying thank you and hung up.

I received a text from 478-79
It said "Hi Patricia" Thx 4 visiting our site. Call 877-706-6426 to Claim Your Free $200 Gift Voucher to Walmart.

My name is NOT Patricia. I called, using a random work phone, and was questioning how they got my #, etc. The minute I said "I feel like this isn't legitimate"...she hung up!

I got the same txt msg, went to my cell co.'s web site and blocked all calls/messages from that number.

Received text at 3:40 p.m. on 8/22/10. $20 Wal-mart card & $50 gas card. Gift Code: RRV200.  I am also on the Do Not Call List.

I just recveived the same text. I filed a complaint with the FCC and contacted my cell provide to make sure I will nto get charged for this text. I also am registered on the Do Not Call list. I thinks its absurd how people get scammed!!! My suggestion would be to not comply with them by calling, texting a reply, or texting "stop" back.....!

Got the same message, but mine was sign Sent from the DNC If is trying to sound like a political message but offering the gift card and a gas card now Which is against US voting laws as well. But I am sure this is NOT from the Democratic National Commitee. Other than that it is structured just like the others. Whoever these scammers are, just added a federal felony to their list, Contact the Secretary of State office if you recieve one of these and let them follow it up. This will allow the Federal Goverment to pursue them overseas

Received the same text message.  Did not text stop back as who knows what they will do with that.  I did call the number provided though.  Spoke with someone who was evasive and could not answer my questions and in fact hung up on me, twice! Called back to speak with supervisor.  Supervisor was all in the selling game as well.  Was still evasive.  Only info given to me was they were located out of Phoenix Arizona and that they represented "Home rewards plus" whatever that means.  Asked for a physical address, would not give it to me.  Informed them I would be filing a complaint and he asked if I was interested in the $200.  haha. He then hung up on me.  So much for a supervisor.  Definitely a SCAM! I am a manager of a call center and know what a legitimate company will and won't do and what is legal and not.

I text stop to the number provided and received a confirmation text that the subscription would be cancelled. When I called the phone number back to find which website I supposedly went to the people working were very evasive and wouldn't answer my questions and actually hung up on me twice.
