These people are debt collectors.  They called my house because I have the same last name as the person they are trying to locate,  They could care less how often they bother people!

Left message for my daughter under her married name who has never lived at this address or in this state. Told to contact a Louise M.  I could not understand last name.

If this number is a collection agency, whatever bank hired them should seriously audit their work. I received a call and said the usual "hello" 2 times without response, but when on to say "hello" 5 times before I was disconnected on the callers end. I think their agents are slackers who just call numbers that typically don't pick up, and they finder why they can't collect a dime.
Attention banks that pay these people to collect your debts- get a clue folks, they are milking you, and you should audit their work and investigate  the reasons the dont deliver.

That's illegal. It's a felony to use the US post office mailbox without proper postage. They should not have opened your mailbox. Call the police or the post office and tell them they're tampering with your mail. Lol, d-bags. :D

Use consumer protection act from (1977) Part 95-106 cease all communications. Get there company name and mailing address and send them this form Express signature mail. Don't answer any of there questions and don't tell them your name no matter how many times they ask. Always get signatures and dates. Second form will be send to the credit bureaus requesting proof of debt from these collection agencies. the bureaus have 30 day to reply with proof. Now here's the important part. You do not owe these people money in the first place. You have no signed contract with them so no proof can be given by them, at the end of the 30 days you send the bureaus a second letter asking for the removal of these bogus statements. now your score is back up where it was.Good luck and pass this on to all.

they called on my unlisted private number asking for someone who doesnt exist by the name they asked for, only the last name was correct...no one in my entire family has or ever had the first name...

My mom gets a call from Amex, who canceled the card on a 78-year-old woman in good standing, because I used the card in my name for her since she was recovering from surgery at the time. Now they want to debt collect. Okay, fine, but they canceled the account when she'd paid on time, every month, for over 15 years. They even admitted payment wasn't the problem but suddenly she has a 14k debt to fill, when she was doing fine in bringing it down off both cards (3 if you count the one Macy's opened without her knowledge). Now these collectors call all the time in a robotic voice.  I have them on the answering machine to prove it. They will call back-to-back with no time between.

This has to be illegal with them calling multiple times a day with no one real on the line.

Got a call from one Joe Dukes at this company (GC Services). It was a valid debt for about $300. He was firm but pleasant. No harsh words, threats, etc. I couldn't pay the day he called but I did pay a couple of weeks later. I called back and asked for him specifically because he was very professional.

Mr. Stanopolis is the guys name. Sounds like the most obnoxious creep in the history of debt collectors, I am sure he is a bone collector on the side. He leaves his extention as 3071

Yup same guy called us. Freaky sounding fella, like he was on a ventilator or possible Darth Vadar resurrected? At any rate, the incoming call has 000-000-0000 as it's origin-why on Earth do they do that? Do not return this call.

How do you report them when they harass and call daily?

A Mr. Spanopolis (sp?) left three messages on my elderly father's answering machine seeking a relative who has never lived at his house. I called asking the nature of the business and the call, but the woman who answered the phone would say only they were in Florida, and she mumbled the name of the business really fast - might have been JC or GC Services - then she said the number would be removed and hung up. I assume this was a debt collection agency.

The caller I.D. shows 914-740-8060 and 914-861-4480, yet the caller leaves a message in a heavy southern drawl to call 877-710-8001 "About a serious and urgent matter". I live in the Metropolitan NEW YORK area, I have a 914 exchange phone number, trust me, these people are not from NY.
It is quite obvious they are using spoofing technology, but that is O.K., you can keep calling my junk phone number all day long!!!

These yay-hoos have called my father last month, and now me today, looking for my first husband, from whom I have been divorced for almost 17 years. I have moved four times, to three different states since I divorced. Remarried for 14 years. Isn't there anyone else who's had contact with this guy in the last 17 years? Because I haven't. The day I saw him in my rear view mirror was the last day I've ever talked to him.

GC Services called my brother looking for me, saying I would know what it is about. They left this number and extension 3064. When I called it, they told me the call was probably an error and to disregard it.

2days in a row I have received a call from this number,ext7413 from Hunter Taylor in Jacksonville Fl. They give the name of someone I have no idea who it is,and they say the person needs to call right away,an emergency. This is left on my answering machine. Thinking of calling to find out why they have my number and who this person is they are looking for and why if they are in Fl.they think this person is in my state and at my house

I keep getting calls from a Mr. Nihls. Told me that he was going to sue me for breach of contract, never received any documentation as such. He is very obnoxious.

AMEX collectors. They're scum and will to any length to harass and collect whatever they can. DON'T ANSWER and report

these people aren't even aware of the debt collection laws. they claim to have mailed out the debt information, but it is never received.  funny thing is that i receive all other mail from every other company.
