My wife received a phone call from an 8773945057 number saying they are sma litigation and they have a subpoena for my wife.  The next day her Personnel Office informed her that there was a ra very rude man threatening them to give them my wife's contact information because they need to serve her with subpoena.  We have checked this company and found your postings so we are aware this could be a hoax or a scam.  How could this type of harassing phone calls be stopped?

I have been called at my job several times by these people threating to serve me with papers and getting smart with the people that work with me and answer the phone at the front desk. I called them when I got home and they got smart with me telling me they have all my personal information. They wouldn't give me the debt Information they claim they had on me but only said know me and my husband and my address where i live.
They told me to "shut up " and listen every time I would ask their name and what company they worked for.I asked them for a Debt Validation Letter and they wouldn't give me any information just kept yelling and being rude to me. These people are really rude and nasty!

Luckily, my husband & I did not panick.  I received a message using my maiden name, so we were already skeptical.  I called and asked the name of the business.  The woman was so RUDE.  She would not answer my question.  I told her that I would not answer any questions until I knew the name of the business.  She hung up on me.  I called back and she said, "Oh, it's you again.  I am a paralegal, not stupid.  And we know where you live."  So, I called the fraud dept. of our local P.D.!  Scammers!

I just received 2 missed calls from unknown numbers leaving a voice mail message saying that I have a case to settle that was submitted to clerk's office regarding a person Marinella dela Cruz and that I have to call this 877-723-4123. I was really scared and curious so I called back. The person who answered would say "corporate office" and asked me my case number. So, when I asked what is my case all about. . . they would hung up on me. I called coupled times, the same thing happened they would hung up. Each time I asked them the name of their company, they would have different office. One said it's called "Al Active Litigation Office Morgan", on said it's a "Clerk Office". And, everytime I get their name, they would hung up on me. When I told one of them that I was hung up by someone, he told me we had a bad connection. One person said not to worry it was a wrong number.

Or an extortion scam.

Got this type of call also...saying they would serve M Meyers at a home address for some corp debt of
CMP Enterprises Inc....of which, it is a corporation and to sue an individual is very difficult if an inc exists.
So...we shall so see.

I have received two calls directing me to call this number.  They answered corporate offices and were not forthcoming with information.  The man who answered the phone became very harassing and threatening and said I was being called because I was a reference.  He then put me on hold and did not come back on the line.  I reported this to AT&T.

this is like the 3rd time i have had this type of scam call, they are calling my ex-wife and her parents saying stuff like they will give them $200 for info on me.  i called and they refused to give me the reason they are suing me and they are very unprofessional and finally hung up on me.  not sure how these companies get our info but this stuff is getting out of hand.  dont fall prey to these idiots

That they were going to serve me papers at my work for a judgment they had on me. Caller wouldn't give his name and hung up when I asked questions.

Left a garbled message on husband's cell phone for me.  Had a file number for me to reference when I returned call.  I called back and was told that it is SMA Active Litigation office out of California.  They answer "Corporate Office".  I could find nothing on the internet that indicates that this company exists.  Probably a dishonest debt collector attempting to collect unvalidated debt.
