They want to sell you a water softener that is why they have to have a delivery time. They should not be allowed to market this way, especially deceiving to older people.

THIS IS NOT A SCAM.... unfortunately with the do not call lists, advertising has changed over the years.  We could put a billboard in your yard asking you to call to get your water tested and no one would call.  Most people who do have us out to test their water are very satisfied with the results and out of the people who do decide to clean up their water, believe the best thing they could have done was to call the number and schedule a water test.  There is no cost or obligation with the presentation and we would love the opportunity to come out and show you what is in it.  So please call the number and set up an appointment, It could be the best choice you have ever made.  We do not target any group of people, we target new home owners no matter what age, race, religion, or any other group you may think of.

I received a card in the mail to fill out in order to get a free container of Tide. At the bottom of the card it says they are not affiliated with Tide in any way, which raised a red flag immediately. If I am to try out Tide, wouldn't it make sense that it be from someone affiliated with Tide?  Anyways, the return address is to Island Distribution at 1676 Providence Ste#D, Deltona, Fl. I googled Island Distribution and finally found IPMS which is their primary name. Seems like they have several aliases they are going by to put out mailers etc. I'm definitely not interested in something that is marketed in this way.

I just got a white postcard in Knoxville, tn. Much of the same info, but a different company name and different number (PM Delivery Services, 888-855-7522)

Figured it was a scam, but now I know for sure. Thanks.

I received the "yellow card"!  I was researching the company and found this website.  Thank you for the posting! I just purchased a new washer and dryer for my new home.  I'm wondering if it could be connected with the rebate program.  Could they be giving out our information when we sign up for the offered rebates?

i just moved into my house when i got the yellow postcard, so they must be getting their leads from the list of homes that have sold recently and try and scare you that your water needs to be softened. just throw away the card.
Love how they ask you to call back and ask for "dispatch" like you are calling UPS or something to have your package delivered.  I like how they use the same color that UPS uses when a delivery attempt was made. What a hoax A&M Distribution.
A reminder....whenever you get something in the mail that says "Important", i can guarantee you that it isn't.

QUESTION for the group: in the past, I did a market research survey for Alphabuzz. Did anyone else do the survey? Maybe they sold our info??

I received this card in the mail for a home I just purchased and the first thing I did was google the business name that was listed in the return address.  I do not even live in the house yet, so I am guessing that they checked the county records on the public website to get my information.  It really ticks me off to know that I bust my hump 6 days a week, pay my taxes every other week it seems all to have people overwhelm me with their sales crap.  Don't call me, I'll call you!  Also, come on ladies!  You listed your name on your posts?  No wonder these scams get ahold of your name.

They sent me a postcard to have me call them at this number.  Said I was to receive a free bottle of Tide, but first I had to answer some questions about laundry and water softeners.  After I answered and said mine was working fine she said unfortunately I didn't qualify for the free Tide any more.  What a scam!  Waste of my time and cell minutes!  There should be a law against this type of thing!

I received the yellow post card.  I figured it was a scam from the get go - but they keep sending postcards.  I'm going to SCAN the card and send it to my Attorney General in Florida and ask her to do something about this.  Luckily my Husband and I are smart about it.  I worry for the older folks that live around us getting the same thing and not knowing any better.

Its really sad how people can prey on the elderly like this too.

do not call this number, I didn't even waste my time, I found this website when I entered the number and THANK YOU to everyone who posted this helpful info.

I just received a yellow card from A&M Distributors from Tampa with this phone number: 877-732-9257.  I  googled and found several entries...turns out these people are all over Florida.  They call and schedule a "delivery" ...when they arrive, they try to sell you some water filter system, and are apparently quite difficult to get rid of!  Another entry said the water department wanted to test their water.  DON"T call these people....it's a scam.

Me too...yellow card. The return address  is NOT "A&M Distribution".

I googled the return address which on my card was a Tampa address. This is what the address and suite # showed to belong to:

Scam.

Throw the card away.

Yep.  Scam.  As if I'm going to give my business to someone who pulls a bait-n-switch like this!

A yellow card in the mail saying they tried to deliver my package.  They never did any such thing.  THAT'S FRAUD!  They have used the United States Postal Service to communicate that they tried to deliver something, which is untrue.  They lead me to believe that a delivery has been attempted, but the only delivery carrier was the USPS.  In my book, this is a Federal crime!

I called the number to find out who they were.  If I had not asked, they would not have told me.  I was informed about the complimentary box of Tide detergent and I asked, "Was this something I ordered?"  "Oh, no sir, this is a complimentary gift.  I asked if they used UPS or some other carrier to deliver it and he said "No, we're not a carrier."  (notice, he wouldn't say, "No, we have never been to your house.")

It turns out it's a lure to talk about their water treatment crap.

I'm calling the Better Business Bureau and I urge you all to do the same.

I called (877) 732-9257 because I received a note in the mail stating that they have been trying to deliver a package.  The lady at the other end was very nice and confirmed me using my name, address and REF#.

She put me on hold for a few seconds and then told me the "package" was a free 64 oz. Tide Detergent and they would send it out after answering a few questions.....which ended up being about how many times a week I do laundry, how many people are in the household, if we use a water softener, etc.  I entertained her up to this point because I thought it was a pretty ridiculous way to market/scam people but then she tried setting up an appointment to have the Tide delivered.  This is where it got akward because you don't need to setup an appointment for this.  She started throwing times out and the tone of her voice changed because this is clearly the point where most people hang up on her.

It's a scam to get someone out to your house to probably show you some new type of household cleaner.  These bait and switch tactics should be outlawed as they prey on the innocent and utilize pushy salesmen to coerce an old widow into buying their product.  What saddens me more than anything is that I have six years of management and call center experience and the young girl did a great job and could probably do well for herself doing inside sales in a well-respected B2B environment.

IPMS Distribution Services on 1676 Providence Blvd, Deltona, FL, is satan.  Please disregard their mail and do not waste your time calling the number.
